Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a cylindrical label having a function capable of revealing image information (character information, graphic information, etc.) in an invisible state by rubbing.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, in a cylindrical label attached to a plastic bottle for beverages, a cylindrical label having a function that can be revealed by rubbing the hidden invisible image information, such as a scratch lot (scratch type speed) As a cylindrical label with a lottery etc., the print information part of the image information (character information, graphic information, etc.) provided on the label surface (inner surface or outer surface) is covered with silver ink etc. and concealed. By providing a concealing layer, the image information is made invisible and the image information in the print information portion is shielded so that it cannot be seen from the outside. In such a cylindrical label having an image concealing layer such as a silver coating film, the silver coating film is peeled off by scraping with a coin or the like, and the concealed printing information section that was under the silver coating film The image information can be revealed. In such a method using a silver coating film, since the silver coating film is easily peeled off and the image information under the silver coating film is not revealed, the silver coating film is difficult to peel off. In order to cut the silver coating film, a hard object such as a coin is required instead of a nail. Moreover, since the cylindrical label main body is a thin plastic film, it is difficult to cut using a hard object such as a coin. In addition, after the shaving, the silver coating film that is the image concealing layer is peeled off, resulting in shavings.
[0003]
In particular, the cylindrical label for plastic bottles is thin, and an image printed on one side may be visible from the other side (opposite side or back side). Therefore, it is necessary to provide an image concealing layer such as a silver coating film for concealing image information and making it invisible on both the inner surface side and the outer surface side of the cylindrical label.
[0004]
Furthermore, since a coating film made of silver ink or the like must be formed, a process of silk screen printing with silver ink or the like is required. Therefore, it becomes complicated and the cost is increased, and the productivity is further reduced.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Accordingly, the present invention provides a cylindrical label that has a function of revealing invisible image information by rubbing, does not require a special tool for rubbing, and does not cause scraping even when rubbing. is there.
[0006]
Another object of the present invention is that the cylindrical label has no image concealing layer such as a silver coating film on the inner surface and / or outer surface of the cylindrical label, and has a function of revealing invisible image information by rubbing. To provide a label.
[0007]
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a cylindrical label having a function of revealing image information in an invisible state by rubbing, which can be produced at low cost and with high productivity.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of intensive studies to solve the above problems, the present inventors have revealed a method for revealing invisible image information by using an ink composition containing microcapsules that are widely used in non-carbon paper or the like. Tried. As an ink composition containing such microcapsules, when a one-pack type ink composition in which ink is encapsulated in microcapsules is used, or when a cylindrical label is attached to a bottle such as a plastic bottle, it is attached. Later, the microcapsules may be destroyed by such pressure in various processes or processes, and the concealed image information may be revealed.
[0009]
In addition, either the leuco dye or the developer was encapsulated in the microcapsule, the other was not encapsulated in the microcapsule, and the microcapsule was destroyed by pressurization such as rubbing and encapsulated in the microcapsule. Even when a two-component ink composition that can reveal image information in an invisible state by contact with the other component that is not encapsulated, the leuco dye and the developer are used. When a layer containing a microcapsule encapsulating one of them and a layer containing the other of a leuco dye and a developer not encapsulated in the microcapsule are laminated, the cylindrical label is placed on a bottle such as a plastic bottle. During or after mounting, the microcapsules can be destroyed and concealed by such pressure in various processes or processes. There is a case where the image information has been resulting in manifestation.
[0010]
In addition, when using a heat-sensitive color developing type ink composition that can be colored by heating instead of pressurization, when or after mounting the cylindrical label on a bottle such as a plastic bottle, There are processes or processes such as heat, heat at the time of drying, heat at the time of heat retention by the consumer, etc., and the invisible image information concealed by this heat develops and appears. Therefore, in such a cylindrical label, it is not preferable to use a heat-sensitive color developing type ink composition.
[0011]
Therefore, the present inventors have developed a cylindrical label having a function of revealing image information in an invisible state by rubbing, with an image not appearing due to heat and pressure applied when the cylindrical label is attached to a bottle such as a plastic bottle. As a result of further diligent studies to provide, a two-pack type pressure-sensitive color-forming ink composition using microcapsules containing either a leuco dye or a developer is used, and the leuco dye and A capsule-containing layer containing microcapsules containing either one of the developer is provided on the inner surface or the outer surface of the cylindrical label, and the capsule-containing layer includes the other of the leuco dye and the developer. By not laminating a layer containing, image information can be revealed by rubbing with a nail without using tools such as coins. No debris is generated, and it is not necessary to apply an image hiding layer with a silver coating film on both sides of the cylindrical label. Further, the cost is low, and the plastic bottle of the cylindrical label, etc. The present invention was completed by finding that an image does not appear due to heat or pressure applied to the bottle.
[0012]
That is, the present invention has a function of revealing invisible image information by rubbing. , Shrink label or stretch label A cylindrical label comprising a microcapsule in which at least a part of either a leuco dye or a developer is encapsulated on either one of an inner surface and an outer surface of the cylindrical label Has a capsule containing layer And a reaction component-containing layer containing a component not contained in the microcapsules of the leuco dye and the developer at least partially on one of the inner surface and the outer surface of the cylindrical label. The capsule-containing layer and the reaction component-containing layer are not laminated. It is a cylindrical label.
[0013]
In the present invention, a part of the inner surface of the cylindrical label may have a capsule-containing layer containing microcapsules encapsulating the leuco dye, and the leuco dye may be formed on a part of the inner surface of the cylindrical label. It has a capsule-containing layer containing the encapsulated microcapsule, and has a developer-containing layer containing a developer on the other part of the inner surface of the cylindrical label. Have It is preferable.
[0014]
As the cylindrical label of the present invention, Two main body folding positions are provided on the cylindrical label, In the cylindrical label, the capsule-containing layer formed on a part of the inner surface and the developer-containing layer formed on another part of the inner surface are in a cylindrical state. Fold at the main body folding position It is preferable that they are provided at positions that do not face each other when the inner surfaces are folded together.

(Inner MC containing ink)
In the inclusion MC-containing ink, a microcapsule containing a leuco dye (hereinafter sometimes referred to as “dye inclusion capsule”) or a microcapsule containing a developer (hereinafter referred to as “developer inclusion capsule”) May be used). Encapsulated MC-containing ink is prepared by, for example, dispersing a dye-encapsulated capsule or a developer-encapsulated capsule in a resin component or a solvent as a binder component, and adding a colorant, a binder, or various additives as necessary. can do. That is, the ink can be prepared in the same manner as before. For example, the inclusion MC ink can be prepared by adding a dye inclusion capsule or a developer inclusion capsule to a conventional ink (various printing inks such as gravure printing ink and screen printing ink).
[0036]
(Dye-containing capsule)
The dye-encapsulated capsule can be prepared by a conventional polymerization method (for example, an In-Situ polymerization method, an interfacial polymerization method, a coacervation method, etc.) using an inclusion such as a leuco dye. For example, in the In-Situ polymerization method, after dissolving the leuco dye in oil, the oil solution of the leuco dye is emulsified in an emulsifier aqueous solution, and a capsule film-forming substance (such as a melamine prepolymer) is added. It can be prepared by adjusting the pH as necessary and carrying out emulsion polymerization.
[0037]
The capsule film-forming substance is not particularly limited as long as it does not have reactivity with the inclusion, and can be appropriately selected according to the resin constituting the capsule film (shell or wall material). . As such a wall material, various resins such as a melamine resin, an acrylic resin, a urethane resin, an amide resin, an epoxy resin, and a urea resin can be used. The resin as the wall material can be used alone or in combination of two or more. For example, when the capsule shell (wall material) is formed of a melamine resin, melamine or urea and formalin, and melamine prepolymers based on these components can be suitably used as the capsule film-forming substance. Moreover, when it is formed with an acrylic resin, as the film-forming substance of the capsule, for example, (meth) acrylic acid ester or a monomer component copolymerizable with the (meth) acrylic acid ester can be used. . In the case of being formed of a urethane-based resin, polyisocyanate, polyol, or the like can be used as the capsule film-forming substance.
[0038]
(Leuco dye)
The leuco dye (electron-donating compound) is not particularly limited, and a conventional leuco dye can be used. Specifically, examples of the leuco dye include triphenylmethane phthalides, fluorans, leucooramines, rhodamine lactams, spiropyrans, polyarylcarbinols, indolines, phenothiazines, indolyl phthalide. , Indolylazaphthalides, and triphenylmethanes. A leuco dye can be used individually or in combination of 2 or more types. In addition, as the leuco dye, those colored in various colors can be used. That is, the leuco dye may be colored in advance as long as it can develop other colors by reacting with the developer.
[0039]
The ratio of the leuco dye is not particularly limited, and can be selected, for example, from the range of about 0.1 to 60% by weight, preferably about 0.5 to 30% by weight, with respect to the total amount of components in the dye-containing capsule. The density of image information that is manifested can be adjusted by the content of the leuco dye.
[0040]
(Developer-encapsulated capsule)
In addition, the developer-encapsulated capsule is, for example, in the same manner as the dye-encapsulated capsule, using an inclusion such as a developer, and a conventional polymerization method (for example, In-Situ polymerization method, interfacial polymerization method, core cell). For example, a basation method).
[0041]
(Developer)
The developer (electron-accepting compound) is not particularly limited, and a conventional developer can be used. Specifically, examples of the developer include clay minerals such as active clay (active clay, acidic clay, montmorillonite, etc.), phenolic resins, salicylic acid or derivatives thereof, metal oxides, metal sulfides. Products, metal compounds such as metal sulfates and metal phosphates, phenolic compounds, and the like can be used. As the developer, salicylic acid or a derivative thereof can be suitably used. In addition, a color developer can be used individually or in combination of 2 or more types.
[0042]
The ratio of the developer is not particularly limited, and can be selected, for example, from the range of about 0.1 to 90% by weight, preferably about 1 to 80% by weight with respect to the total amount of components in the developer-encapsulated capsule. .
[0043]
(Resin components, solvents, etc.)
In the present invention, the resin component (binder resin) in the encapsulated MC-containing ink is not particularly limited. For example, acrylic resin, urethane resin, epoxy resin, polyester resin, polyamide resin, styrene-maleic anhydride Known resins such as resins can be used.
[0044]
The solvent is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include acetates such as ethyl acetate and propyl acetate; alcohols such as methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, n-propanol and butanol; alkylene glycols such as propylene glycol monomethyl ether (mono or Di) alkyl ethers; ketones such as methyl ethyl ketone and methyl isopropyl ketone; aromatic solvents such as toluene, xylene and ethylbenzene can be used.
[0045]
Furthermore, the colorant is not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected from known colorants such as pigments and dyes. Examples of the additive include a capsule protective material (such as starch particles), an antifoaming agent, an anti-settling agent, and a leveling agent.
[0046]
Microcapsules can contain various color formers. Therefore, it can also be used as a color or a colorant.
[0047]
(Reaction component-containing ink)
In the reactive component-containing ink, a leuco dye or developer that is not encapsulated in the microcapsule in the encapsulated MC-containing ink is used. The reactive component-containing ink can be prepared by dispersing a leuco dye or a developer in a resin component or a solvent as a binder component and adding a colorant or various additives as necessary. As these leuco dyes and developers, the same leuco dyes and developers as those exemplified above can be used. Further, the colorant, the binder and the additive are not particularly limited, and can be appropriately selected from known colorants and additives.

The invisible image information may be any information as long as it is image information such as character information and graphic information. For example, image information for prizes and fortune-telling, image information such as characters, and the like can be suitably used. The image information for the sweepstakes is not particularly limited. For example, winning information (such as winning information, outlier information, etc.), grade information (1st, 2nd, etc.), score information (1 point, 2 points, etc.), etc. Can be mentioned. The image information for fortune-telling is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include fortune information. Further, the character is not particularly limited, and for example, a mascot character for promotion of a bottle selling company with a label can be used.
[0052]
Therefore, the cylindrical label of the present invention can be suitably used as a cylindrical label having a so-called “scratch lottery” in a campaign or the like. In particular, the cylindrical label of the present invention is manifested only by rubbing the invisible image information as described above, so that a consumer who has purchased a bottle provided with the cylindrical label can rub like a game. , Can give the consumer fun.
[0053]
In the present invention, since a microcapsule containing either one of a leuco dye and a developer is used, an image concealing layer (particularly a silver covering layer) used for concealing the image of the printed part is used. No image hiding layer) is required. That is, the microcapsules can be adjusted to colorless or a predetermined color as appropriate, and the color of the capsule-containing layer can be adjusted using a colorant as necessary. The color of can be prevented from appearing at all. Microcapsules can be used by mixing with ordinary ink.
[0054]
In the present invention, the part to be rubbed to reveal image information is usually the part on the back side or the opposite side of the capsule-containing layer provided on the inner surface or outer surface of the cylindrical label. Moreover, as the force at the time of rubbing, it is sufficient if it is a force that only destroys the microcapsules in the capsule-containing layer. The microcapsules in the capsule-containing layer have an extremely thin shell and can be easily broken by rubbing with a nail or the like. Therefore, no special tool (for example, a coin or the like) is required to reveal the invisible image information.

In the present invention, it is preferable that the label is provided with

When the cylindrical label of the present invention (in the case of a shrink label) is one in which a capsule-containing layer is formed on the inner surface, for example, the substrate is molded by a known method such as an extrusion method or a calender method, and then stretched. Then, an ink and an overcoat agent are applied to the surface on the inner surface side of the obtained film by a coating method such as printing (for example, gravure printing) and laminated, and using the inclusion MC-containing ink, Applying and laminating to a predetermined site by a coating method such as printing (for example, gravure printing), and printing on a predetermined site on the inner surface to a predetermined site using a reactive component-containing ink as necessary. After applying and laminating by a coating method such as gravure printing (for example, gravure printing), it is cut into a long strip having a desired width, the capsule-containing layer side is the inside, and the main stretching direction is the circumferential direction Rounding into a cylindrical shape so as, after bonding the ends sides with an adhesive, if necessary cut into desired lengths, are used as the cylindrical label.
[0063]
The stretching can be performed by either a tenter method or a tube method, but the tenter method is preferable. The stretching treatment is performed at an appropriate temperature in consideration of the glass transition temperature of the polyester constituting the film, in the direction corresponding to the circumferential direction of the container [usually the width direction (TD direction)], depending on the film material, for example, , By stretching about 1.5 to 8 times. In addition, if necessary, the stretching process can be performed at a low stretching ratio (for example, about 1.5 times or less) also in a direction [normally the length direction (MD direction)] orthogonal to the above direction. Moreover, after extending | stretching, the heat setting which normally passes a heating zone at about 60-90 degreeC for about 1-10 seconds is performed. The film thus obtained has an orientation in the main stretching direction and exhibits a large heat shrinkability in this direction.
[0064]
The cylindrical label of the present invention can be suitably used as a cylindrical label for plastic bottles such as polyethylene terephthalate bottles (PET bottles) for beverages such as soft drinks and coffee drinks. In addition, as a container other than a plastic bottle, it can be applied to a glass bottle, a metal can, or the like.
[0065]
In the present invention, as a cylindrical label for a plastic bottle, (a) a so-called “full type” covering from the neck to the bottom of the bottle, and (b) a so-called “semi-full type” covering from the shoulder to the bottom of the bottle. (C) Any type such as a so-called “half-type” covering from the shoulder of the bottle to the center of the side surface of the bottle may be used.
[0066]
The cylindrical label of the present invention may be a stretch label. In the present invention, since an image concealing layer (particularly an image concealing layer made of a silver-colored coating film) is not provided, even if the cylindrical label is a shrink label as a heat shrink type, it is thermally contracted as in the conventional case. It is possible to attach the cylindrical label to the plastic bottle without any particular limitation. When the cylindrical label is, for example, a shrink label, the shrink label formed into a cylindrical shape is supplied to an automatic label mounting apparatus, cut into a required length, and then a plastic bottle (PET bottle) usually filled with contents. Etc.) can be manufactured by continuously fitting so as to cover a predetermined part of the side surface of the bottle body, and heat shrinking by heating. The shrinkage of the shrink label fitted on the plastic bottle may be performed by any known method. However, for example, a steam tunnel of about 80 to 100 ° C. is used because the temperature is evenly transmitted to improve the finish of the label. It is preferable to cause heat shrinkage by passing the resin.
[0067]
【The invention's effect】
According to the cylindrical label of the present invention, no special tool is required for rubbing, no scraping is generated even when rubbing, and there is no need to provide an image concealing layer made of a silver coating film. Inexpensive. In particular, the image does not appear at all due to heat and pressure applied when the cylindrical label is attached to the plastic bottle.

(Preparation example of microcapsule-containing ink)
The white ink: 74 parts by weight, leuco dye-containing microcapsules (trade name “Matsumoto Microsphere RQ657” manufactured by Matsumoto Yushi Seiyaku Co., Ltd.): 26 parts by weight were mixed, and the microcapsule-containing ink (containing MC included) Ink) was prepared.
[0071]
(Example of preparing developer-containing ink)
A developer-containing ink was prepared by mixing 13 parts by weight of salicylic acid and 13 parts by weight of zinc oxide with respect to 74 parts by weight of the white ink.

Example 1
One surface of a polyester film (trade name “Space Clean S7542”, film thickness: 45 μm, manufactured by Toyobo Co., Ltd.) is used as a base film with a six-color design by gravure printing, and an overcoat agent (Shin Nakamura Chemical Co., Ltd.) ), Product name “New Coat PM-541-34”, acrylic resin) is applied by gravure printing so as to have a thickness of 1 to 2 μm to form an overcoat layer, and a label supporting base sheet is formed. Produced.
In the surface on the overcoat layer side of this label-supporting substrate sheet, the encapsulated MC-containing ink is applied to a part by gravure printing to form a capsule-containing layer (thickness: 0.5 to 12 μm), and other The developer-containing ink is applied to the portion by gravure printing to form a developer-containing layer (thickness: 0.5 to 12 μm), and further, perforations are formed, as shown in FIG. A cylindrical label precursor sheet (label precursor sheet) having a capsule-containing layer and a developer-containing layer was produced.
[0073]
FIG. 7 is a schematic view showing a state before the cylindrical label of the present invention is rolled into a cylindrical shape. In FIG. 7, 11 is a cylindrical label precursor sheet (label precursor sheet), and shows only the label precursor 11a as its repeating unit. Specifically, the label precursor is continuously formed in a sheet shape in the X direction to form a
[0074]
In the label precursor sheet, the capsule-containing layer has a “hit” invisible image information portion as shown in FIG. That is, the capsule-containing layer is formed by a portion (an “invisible” invisible image information portion) of the inclusion MC-containing ink and a portion (a portion other than the “inside” invisible image information portion) of the white ink.

(Example 2)
FIG. 7 shows the same procedure as in Example 1 except that a stretched polystyrene film (manufactured by Gunze Co., Ltd., trade name “Fancy Lap GMAS”, film thickness: 50 μm) is used as the base film instead of the polyester film. A cylindrical label precursor sheet (label precursor sheet) having a capsule-containing layer and a developer-containing layer is prepared, and the label precursor sheet is used in the same manner as in Example 1 in FIG. A square plastic bottle with a shrink label as shown was prepared.
[0077]
(Evaluation)
When the cylindrical labels attached to the plastic bottles according to Examples 1 and 2 were cut by perforations and the inside of the cylindrical labels was visually observed, both the capsule-containing layer and the developer-containing layer were both It was composed of a single color, and no image could be found. Thereafter, the capsule-containing layer and the developer-containing layer were overlapped as shown in FIG. 4 and rubbed with a nail on the capsule-containing layer from the outside of the main body, as shown in FIG. The letter “hits” appeared in the developer layer. Of course, no shavings are generated.
[0078]
Therefore, a cylindrical label capable of developing and revealing invisible image information by simply rubbing with a nail was obtained. During this rubbing, no shavings are generated.
[0079]
Further, the invisible image information is not invisible due to the image hiding layer made of the silver coating film, and does not require a silver silk screen printing process. Therefore, the cost is reduced. In addition, the microcapsules used to make them invisible are mixed with ordinary ink and printed by various ordinary printing methods (such as gravure printing), further reducing costs. In addition, a cylindrical label could be produced with high productivity.
[0080]
Further, even when the cylindrical label is attached to the plastic bottle, the invisible image information is colored and does not appear even when the pressure is applied.
