Description
(a)単一の送信機が複数の受信機と通信する、一般に放送通信法と呼ばれるもの、
(b)複数の送信機が1つの共通の受信機と通信する、一般にマルチアクセス通信法と呼ばれるもの。

Claims (30)
- 基地局と複数の無線端末とを備える通信システムで用いるための通信方法であって、異なる通信チャネルが前記複数の無線端末の各無線端末と前記基地局との間にあり、この通信チャネルが各特定無線端末と特定無線端末に対するチャネル品質である品質をもつ基地局との間にある方法であって、この方法が:
i)前記複数無線端末それぞれのチャネル品質を示すチャネル条件情報セットを保持し;
ii)少なくともあらかじめ選択された最小量分だけお互いに異なるチャネル条件をもつ無線端末を特定するためのチャネル条件情報セットを調べ;かつ
iii)少なくとも前記あらかじめ選択された前記最小量分だけ異なるチャネル品質をもつものとして特定された少なくとも2つの異なる無線端末に対応する重畳信号を伝えるために用いられる通信チャネルセグメントを割り当てて基地局を作動することを含む。 - 請求項1に記載の通信方法であって、
保持されたチャネル条件情報のセットがチャネル信号対雑音比情報を含み;
前記少なくとも2つの異なる無線端末が第1および第2の無線端末を含み;かつ
第1および第2の無線端末のチャネル条件の異なるあらかじめ選択された最小量が3dBであることを特徴とする。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、この方法がさらに:
保持、調査、割り当ての前記各ステップを繰り返して基地局を作動することを含む。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、この方法がさらに:
保持および調査の前記各ステップを繰り返して基地局を作動するものであって;
前記調査ステップが、割り当てられるよう利用可能な通信チャネルセグメントに送信される信号をもつあらかじめ選択される最小量だけ異なるチャネル条件をもつ少なくとも2つの無線端末を特定することに失敗した場合、
前記複数の無線端末のうちの単一のものに対して、利用可能な通信チャネルセグメントを割り当てて基地局を作動することを特徴とする。 - 請求項1に記載の通信方法であって、
前記少なくとも2つの異なる無線端末が第1の無線端末および第2の無線端末を含み;
前記割り当てられた通信チャネルセグメントがダウンリンクチャネルのセグメントであり;
第1の無線端末が、前記第2の無線端末よりも良好なチャネル品質をもつことを特徴とするものであって、この方法がさらに:
前記割り当てられた通信チャネルセグメントの第1および第2の無線端末に第1の重畳信号を送信して基地局を作動させるものであって、前記第1の重畳信号が、前記第1の無線端末用の低出力信号部分と前記第2の無線端末用の高出力信号部分とをもち、この低出力信号部分が、前記高出力信号部分よりも低出力で前記基地局により送信されるかまたは前記高出力信号部分よりも低いコーディング防護で基地局により送信されることを特徴とする。 - 請求項5に記載の通信方法であって、
前記割り当てられた通信チャネルセグメントが、通信チャネルセグメント割り当てを無線端末に送信するために用いられる割り当てチャネルのセグメントであることを特徴とする。 - 請求項6に記載の通信方法であって、この方法がさらに:
前記第1および第2の無線端末から第2の重畳信号を受信し、前記受信された第2の重畳信号が、前記第1および第2の無線端末によりそれぞれ送信される第1および第2の信号部分を含み、前記第1の信号部分が、前記第2の信号部分よりも高出力レベルで前記基地局により受信して、
基地局を作動することを含む。 - 請求項7に記載の通信方法であって、この方法がさらに:
前記第1の信号部分を復号し;
前記第2の重畳信号から前記第1の信号部分を減算し;かつ
前記第2の信号部分を復号する
ことを含む。 - 請求項7に記載の通信方法であって、この方法がさらに:
前記割り当てチャネルのセグメントの前記第1および第2の無線端末に送信される前記第1の重畳信号から前記第1の信号部分を送信するのに用いる送信出力を判定する際に複数の受信目標出力レベルのうちのどの出力レベルを用いるかを判定して第1の無線端末を作動させることを含む。 - 請求項9に記載の通信方法であって、
受信された複数の目標出力レベルのうちのどのレベルを用いるかを判定する第1の無線端末の作動は:
アップリンクチャネル割り当て情報を第1の無線端末に送信するために用いられる第1の重畳信号の部分が低出力信号部分あるいは高出力信号部分として送信されたかを判定することを含む。 - 複数の無線端末を備える通信システムで用いるための基地局であって、異なる通信チャネルが前記複数の無線端末の各無線端末と前記基地局との間にあり、この通信チャネルが、各特定無線端末と特定無線端末に対するチャネル品質である品質をもつ基地局との間にある基地局であって、この基地局が:
前記複数無線端末それぞれのチャネル品質を示すチャネル条件情報セットと;
あらかじめ選択された最小量分だけお互いに異なるチャネル条件をもつ無線端末を特定するためにチャネル条件情報セットを調べるための手段と;かつ
少なくともあらかじめ選択された最小量分だけ異なるチャネル条件をもつものとして特定される少なくとも2つの異なる無線端末に対応する重畳信号を送信するために用いられる通信チャネルセグメントを割り当てるための手段とを備える。 - 請求項11に記載の基地局であって、
前記少なくとも2つの異なる無線端末が第1および第2の無線端末を含み;
保持されたチャネル条件情報のセットがチャネル信号対雑音比情報を含み;かつ
第1および第2の無線端末のチャネル条件の異なるあらかじめ選択された最小量が3dBであることを特徴とする。 - 請求項11に記載の基地局であって、この基地局がさらに:
前記調査手段が、割り当てられるよう利用可能な通信チャネルセグメントに送信される信号をもつ、あらかじめ選択された最小量だけ異なるチャネル条件をもつ少なくとも2つの無線端末を特定することに失敗した場合、前記複数の無線端末の1つに利用可能な通信チャネルセグメントを割り当てるための手段を備える。 - 請求項13に記載の基地局であって、この基地局がさらに:
前記第1および第2の無線端末から重畳信号を受信するための受信機であって、前記受信された重畳信号が、前記第1および第2の無線端末によりそれぞれ送信される第1および第2の信号部分を含み、前記第1の信号部分が、前記第2の信号部分よりも高出力レベルで前記基地局により受信され、前記第1の無線端末が、前記第2の無線端末よりも良好なチャネル条件をもつ受信機を備える。 - 請求項14に記載の基地局であって、この基地局がさらに:
受信された重畳信号の前記第1および第2の信号部分の復号を行うための重畳デコーダを備える。 - 請求項15に記載の基地局であって、
前記重畳デコーダが:
前記第1の信号部分の復号を行うためのデコーダ装置と;
前記第2の信号部分を生成するため前記重畳信号から前記第1の信号部分を減算するための減算器と;かつ
前記第2の信号部分の復号を行うための第2のデコーダ装置とを備えることを特徴とする。 - 基地局と複数の無線端末とを備える通信システムで用いるための通信方法であって、異なる通信チャネルが前記複数の無線端末の各無線端末と前記基地局との間にあり、この通信チャネルが各特定無線端末と特定無線端末に対するチャネル品質である品質をもつ基地局との間にある方法であって、この方法が:
前記基地局に重畳通信信号の第1の部分を送信するために第1のチャネル品質をもつ第1の無線端末を作動させ;かつ
前記基地局に前記重畳通信信号の第2の部分を送信するため第2のチャネル品質をもつ第2の無線端末を作動させて、第1および第2のチャネル品質が、少なくとも第1のあらかじめ選択された量だけ異なり、前記重畳通信信号を形成するために基地局までの送信中に前記第1および第2の信号部分が空中で結合することを含む。 - 請求項17に記載の通信方法であって、
第1および第2の無線端末のチャネル品質の異なるあらかじめ選択された最小量が3dBであることを特徴とする。 - 請求項17に記載の通信方法であって、この方法がさらに:
前記第1および第2の重畳信号部分の送信前に、前記第1の無線端末用の低出力信号部分と前記第2の無線端末用の高出力信号部分とをもつ重畳割り当て信号を受信するよう第1および第2の無線端末を作動させて、この低出力信号部分が前記高出力信号部分よりも低出力で前記基地局により送信され、前記第1の無線端末が前記第2の無線端末よりも良好なチャネル品質をもち、前記重畳割り当て信号がアップリンク通信チャネルセグメントを割り当てることを含む。 - 請求項19に記載の通信方法であって、
前記第1および第2の無線端末によりそれぞれ送信される第1および第2の信号部分が、前記第1の信号部分が前記第2の信号部分よりも高出力レベルで基地局により受信されるような出力レベルで送信されることを特徴とする。 - 請求項20に記載の通信方法であって、この方法がさらに:
前記重畳割り当て信号から前記第1の信号部分を送信するのに用いる送信出力を判定する際に複数の受信目標出力レベルのうちのどの出力レベルを用いるかを判定するために第1の無線端末を作動させることを含む。 - 請求項21に記載の通信方法であって、
受信された複数の目標出力レベルのうちどのレベルを用いるかを判定する第1の無線端末の作動は:
アップリンクチャネル割り当て情報を第1の無線端末に送信するために用いられる重畳信号部分が低出力信号部分あるいは高出力信号部分として送信されたかを判定することを含む。 - 無線端末であって、この無線端末が:
少なくともあらかじめ選択された最小量分だけ異なるチャネル品質をもつものとして特定された少なくとも2つの異なる無線端末に対応する重畳割り当て信号を受信するための受信機であって、前記重畳割り当て信号の第1の信号部分および第2の信号部分のうちの1つが前記無線端末用であり、他の前記信号部分が他の無線端末用であり、第1の信号部分が、前記第2の信号部分よりも低出力で受信される受信機と;
前記第1および第2の信号部分を復号する重畳デコーダと;
前記第1および第2の信号部分のうちの1つに含まれる情報からどの部分が前記無線端末用であるかを判定するための手段と;かつ
前記無線端末用の受信された重畳割り当て信号が対応するアップリンク通信チャネルセグメントの信号を送信するための送信機とを備える。 - 請求項23に記載の無線端末であって、この無線端末がさらに:
複数の異なる受信出力目標レベルに対する保存された受信目標レベル出力情報と;かつ
特定のアップリンク通信チャネルセグメントに対応する受信された重畳割り当て信号からこの特定のアップリンク通信チャネルセグメントの信号を送信する際、複数の受信目標出力レベルのうちどの1つを用いるかを判定するための手段とを備える。 - 請求項24に記載の無線端末であって、
前記判定手段が:
アップリンクチャネル割り当て情報を無線端末に送信するために用いられる重畳信号部分が低出力信号部分あるいは高出力信号部分として送信されたかを判定することを含む。 - 基地局と複数の無線端末とを備える通信システムで用いるための通信方法であって、異なる通信チャネルが前記複数の無線端末の各無線端末と前記基地局との間にあり、この通信チャネルが各特定無線端末と特定無線端末に対する通信チャネル品質である品質をもつ基地局との間にあり、無線端末から基地局に送信される信号が送信中に結合するものであって、この方法が:
少なくともあらかじめ選択された最小量分だけ異なるチャネル品質をもつものとして特定された少なくとも2つの異なる無線端末に対応する重畳割り当て信号を使用して、第1および第2の装置によって同時に用いられるアップリンク通信チャネルセグメントを割り当て、
前記アップリンク通信チャネルセグメントから複合信号を受信し、前記複合信号が、前記第1の装置で送信される第1の信号と前記第2の装置で送信される第2の信号とを含み、かつ
前記複合信号に含まれる第1および第2の信号を復号する受信された複合信号に対して重畳復号操作を行う
よう基地局を作動することを含む。 - 請求項26に記載の通信方法であって、
アップリンク通信チャネルセグメントを割り当てるために基地局の作動は、
アップリンクトラフィックセグメントを共用するため、通信チャネル品質情報、第1の無線端末および第2の無線端末に基づいて異なる無線端末通信チャネル品質をもつ第1および第2の無線端末を選択して基地局を作動させることを含み、かつ
この方法が、
割り当てられたトラフィックチャネルセグメントと、第1および第2の無線端末のうちのどの1つが、高出力レベルで前記基地局により受信される信号を送信するかを示す情報を、選択された第1および第2の無線端末に送信するよう基地局を作動させることをさらに含む。 - 請求項27に記載の方法であって、
良好なチャネル条件をもつ第1および第2の無線端末のうちの1つから送信された信号が高出力レベルで基地局において受信され、この方法がさらに:
前記割り当てられたトラフィックチャネルセグメントで基地局に第1の信号部分を送信するために第1の無線端末を作動させ;かつ
前記割り当てられたトラフィックチャネルセグメントで基地局に第2の信号部分を送信するために第2の無線端末を作動させ、第1および第2の信号部分が前記基地局への送信中に重畳することを含む。 - 請求項28に記載の方法であって、
前記第2の信号部分を送信するために前記第2の無線端末で用いられる出力よりも低い出力を用いて第1の無線端末が第1の信号部分を送信するが、基地局で受信される第2の信号部分の出力レベルよりも高い出力レベルで第1の信号部分が前記基地局により受信されることを特徴とする。 - 請求項29に記載の方法であって、
前記少なくとも2つの異なる無線端末が第1の無線端末および第2の無線端末を含み;
割り当てられる前記アップリンク通信チャネルセグメントがダウンリンクチャネルのセグメントであり;
第1の無線端末が前記第2の無線端末よりも良好なチャネル品質をもち;かつ
この方法がさらに:
前記割り当てられた前記アップリンク通信チャネルセグメントの第1および第2の無線端末に重畳信号を送信するために基地局を作動させることを備え、前記重畳信号が前記第1の無線端末用の低出力信号部分と前記第2の無線端末用の高出力信号部分とをもち、この低出力信号部分が前記高出力信号部分よりも低出力で前記基地局により送信される手段を備えることを特徴とする。
