Description
The present invention relates to a leak diagnosis apparatus for an evaporated fuel processing system.
In a vehicular engine, fuel evaporative gas (hereinafter referred to as “vapor”) generated in a fuel tank is adsorbed on activated carbon in the canister, and the canister and the intake passage of the engine communicate with each other under predetermined operating conditions. The purge control valve provided in the passage is opened and the negative pressure in the intake passage is used to desorb the fuel particles adsorbed in the canister from the activated carbon and lead to the intake passage downstream of the throttle valve for combustion. An evaporative fuel processing system is provided.
In this case, if there is a leak hole in the middle of the flow path from the fuel tank to the intake pipe, or if the seal at the joint of the pipe becomes poor, vapor will be released into the atmosphere. Various leak diagnosis methods have been proposed.
One of them is a leak diagnosis (hereinafter referred to as “leak diagnosis when the vehicle is stopped”) that is performed after the engine is stopped, not during operation of the engine. The stop-time leakage diagnosis is performed based on the amount of change in the differential pressure by detecting the transition of the differential pressure between the pressure in the evaporated fuel processing system and the atmospheric pressure after the engine is stopped.
This stop-time leakage diagnosis is based on a pressure change due to a negative pressure naturally generated in the evaporated fuel processing system, which is caused by a temperature change in the fuel tank due to natural heat dissipation after the engine is stopped. Therefore, when there is no leak, a large pressure change is observed in the system as the temperature changes. On the other hand, when there is a leak, since fresh air is introduced from there, the pressure change is small.
Therefore, if a diagnosis is performed when a large amount of vapor is generated in the fuel tank, the positive pressure due to the vapor generation and the negative pressure generated by natural heat dissipation cancel each other, and the pressure change becomes small. There is a possibility that.
However, if the atmospheric conditions such as the atmospheric temperature and the fuel tank temperature are set as the diagnosis prohibition conditions, for example, there is a risk that the diagnosis may be prohibited if the atmospheric temperature conditions are not satisfied even if the vapor that affects the diagnosis is not generated. there were.
The present invention has been made paying attention to such conventional problems, and the purpose of the present invention is to set a certain monitoring time before the leak diagnosis in the leak diagnosis at the time of stopping, and to detect the pressure change in the system system. An object of the present invention is to provide a leak diagnosis apparatus for an evaporative fuel processing system that avoids diagnosis when vapor is generated by measuring.
The present invention includes a fuel tank that stores fuel to be supplied to an engine, a canister that adsorbs fuel evaporative gas in the fuel tank, a first valve that opens and closes an atmosphere opening of the canister, an intake air of the canister and the engine A purge passage connecting the passage and a second valve interposed in the purge passage, and purging the fuel evaporative gas into the intake passage by opening and closing the second valve according to engine operating conditions Evaporative fuel processing system. A gas pressure detecting means for detecting the gas pressure in the purge passage; an engine stop state detecting means for detecting an engine stop state; and the first and second valves are closed after the engine is stopped to leak the evaporated fuel processing system. A means for performing diagnosis, a time setting means for setting a time until the temperature rise in the fuel tank settles before the leak diagnosis, and the first valve is kept open during the set time. Computation means for computing a pressure change of the detected gas pressure, and judgment means for judging whether or not the leak diagnosis is permitted based on the computation value, wherein the judgment means is based on the computation value. Leak diagnosis is prohibited when it is determined that the detected gas pressure is lower than a predetermined pressure .
According to the present invention, before the leak diagnosis, the time until the temperature rise in the fuel tank settles is set, and during the set time, the first valve is set to check whether vapor is generated in the fuel tank. The pressure change in the system is calculated with the valve open. Therefore, since it is possible to detect before the leak diagnosis whether or not the vapor is generated in the fuel tank so as to affect the diagnosis accuracy, it is possible to avoid the leak diagnosis that cannot be predicted accurately. In addition, when the vehicle is cooled rapidly and abnormal vapor condensation progresses, and a pressure change occurs despite the presence of a leak, it is possible to prevent erroneous diagnosis by performing a leak diagnosis when stopped. it can.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
(First embodiment)
FIG. 1 is a configuration diagram showing a leak diagnosis apparatus for an evaporated fuel processing system according to a first embodiment of the present invention.

The
Further, the canister 11 is connected to the atmosphere via the atmosphere opening 9. A drain cut valve 8 is provided at the atmosphere opening 9, and its operation is controlled by a

Furthermore, the
Hereinafter, the stoppage leak diagnosis executed by the
First, in step S101, it is confirmed whether or not the ignition switch (IGNSW) 20 is turned off in order to confirm engine stop. If the
In step S102, a vapor monitor timer (VMT) is started to monitor the state of vapor generation in the
In step S103, it is determined whether the vapor monitor timer is operating. If it is determined that the vapor monitor timer is operating, that is, if the vapor monitor timer has not reached the specified time VMTIME, the process proceeds to step S104 to measure the pressure in the system system. If the vapor monitor timer has reached the specified time VMTIME, the process proceeds to step S107 in order to perform a stop-time leak diagnosis.
Here, if the vapor monitor timer is in operation, measuring the pressure in the system system without performing leak diagnosis immediately means that the vapor monitor timer is in operation because a long time has passed since the engine stopped. This is because there is a possibility that the temperature in the
On the other hand, if the vapor monitor timer has reached the specified time VMTIME, the leak diagnosis will affect the diagnosis because a sufficient time has elapsed since the engine stopped and the temperature rise in the
In general, the fuel in the
However, when the engine is stopped after traveling, the fuel in the
Vapor generation is promoted the higher the fuel temperature. Therefore, when the fuel temperature rise after the engine stop described above is severe, the generation of vapor is promoted, and a large amount of vapor may be generated in the
If leak diagnosis is performed with the system system closed in such a situation, the pressure change caused by the generation of vapor may be misdiagnosed as a pressure change due to fresh air introduced from the leak. There is.
Therefore, when the vapor monitor timer is in operation, the pressure in the system system is measured in order to confirm whether or not vapor has been generated so as to affect the diagnostic accuracy before the diagnosis is performed.
ステップS104では、システム系内圧力SYSPRES(圧力センサ14で検出)が大気圧ATMPRS(大気圧センサ23で検出)に対して、所定許容値VPOUT以上上昇しているか否かが判断される。 In step S104, it is determined whether the system internal pressure SYSPRESS (detected by the pressure sensor 14) has increased by a predetermined allowable value VPOUT or more with respect to the atmospheric pressure ATMMPRS (detected by the atmospheric pressure sensor 23). The system internal pressure SYSPRES at this time is measured with the drain cut valve 8 open.
Since the drain cut valve 8 is opened, the system system communicates with the atmosphere, and normally the system system pressure is substantially equal to the atmospheric pressure. However, even when the drain cut valve 8 is open, pressure loss occurs when passing through the activated carbon in the canister 11, and therefore when a large amount of vapor is generated in the
If the system internal pressure SYSPRES is higher than the atmospheric pressure ATMPRS by a predetermined allowable value VPOUT or more, it is determined that vapor has generated that affects the diagnostic accuracy, and the process proceeds to step S110. Implementation of leak diagnosis is prohibited. On the other hand, if it has not increased by more than the predetermined allowable value VPOUT, the process proceeds to step S105.
In step S105, it is determined whether or not the system internal pressure SYSPRESS has decreased below the predetermined allowable value VVOUT with respect to the atmospheric pressure ATMMPRS. As in step S104, the system internal pressure SYSPRES at this time is measured with the drain cut valve 8 open. The predetermined allowable value VVOUT is smaller than the predetermined allowable value VPOUT.
Then, if the vehicle has fallen below the predetermined allowable value VVOUT, the process proceeds to step S110, and the execution of the stop-time leak diagnosis is prohibited. For example, this is to avoid a situation in which the vehicle is rapidly cooled and abnormal vapor condensation proceeds and a pressure change occurs despite a leak. On the other hand, if it has not fallen below the predetermined allowable value VVOUT, the process proceeds to step S106.
If it progresses to step S106, after a vapor monitor timer is counted up, it will transfer to step S103 again and will repeat the process after step S103 again.
On the other hand, as described above, when the vapor monitor timer has reached the specified time VMTIME in step S103, the process proceeds to step S107 in order to execute a stop-time leakage diagnosis. In step S107, the drain cut valve 8 is closed to make the system system in a closed space, and then a stop-time leak diagnosis is executed in step S108. And based on the amount of fluctuation of the pressure difference in the system system and the atmospheric pressure, using the negative pressure that occurs naturally in the system system due to the temperature change due to the natural heat dissipation of the fuel after the engine stops, A determination is made whether there is a leak.
After the leak diagnosis is finished, the drain cut valve 8 is opened in step S109, and the processing of this routine is finished.
According to the leak diagnosis apparatus for an evaporative fuel processing system according to the first embodiment described above, when the
At this time, if a large amount of vapor is generated, a pressure loss occurs when passing through the activated carbon in the canister 11, so that an increase in pressure in the system system can be detected. Therefore, it is possible to detect whether or not vapor is generated in the
Further, since the drain cut valve 8 is opened during the operation of the vapor monitor timer, there is no need to energize and the power consumption of the battery can be suppressed.
Further, if the drain cut valve 8 is closed to perform a leak diagnosis when the vehicle is stopped, and fuel is supplied in a state where the system system is in a closed space after the engine is stopped, the internal pressure in the
(Second embodiment)
The configuration of the diagnostic apparatus for the evaporated fuel processing system according to the second embodiment of the present invention is the same as that of the first embodiment. In the second embodiment, the stop-time leak diagnosis executed by the

First, in step S201, it is confirmed whether the
In step S202, the drain cut valve 8 is closed. This is because the change in pressure due to vapor generated in the
Then, when the process proceeds to step S203, a vapor monitor timer is started in order to monitor the state of vapor generation in the
Also in step S204, the same process as in step S103 of FIG. 2 is performed, and it is determined whether or not the vapor monitor timer is operating. If the vapor monitor timer is in operation, the process proceeds to step S205 to measure the pressure in the system, and if not, the process proceeds to step S208 to perform a stop-time leak diagnosis.
In step S205, the system internal pressure SYSPRES (detected by the pressure sensor 14) measured at each sampling cycle of the
If the pressure change rate is equal to or greater than the predetermined allowable value VSPOUT, the process proceeds to step S211 on the assumption that vapor is generated to affect the diagnostic accuracy. When the process proceeds to step S211, execution of the stop-time leak diagnosis is prohibited, the process proceeds to step S210, the drain cut valve 8 is opened, and the process of this routine is terminated.
On the other hand, if the pressure change rate is less than the predetermined allowable value VSPOUT, the process proceeds to step S206. In step S206, it is determined whether or not the system internal pressure SYSPRES is decreasing at a speed equal to or higher than a predetermined value with respect to the system system internal pressure aSYSPRES sampled immediately before. Similar to step S205, the pressure change rate at this time is measured with the drain cut valve 8 closed, unlike the case of the first embodiment.
Specifically, if the difference between the system system pressure SYSPRESS and the immediately preceding system system pressure aSYSPRESS is equal to or smaller than a predetermined allowable value VSVOUT, it is assumed that abnormal vapor condensation that affects the diagnostic accuracy has occurred, step S211. Proceed to When the process proceeds to step S211, execution of the stop-time leak diagnosis is prohibited, the process proceeds to step S210, the drain cut valve 8 is opened, and the process of this routine is terminated. The predetermined allowable value VSVOUT is smaller than the predetermined allowable value VSPOUT.
On the other hand, if the difference between the system system pressure SYSPRESS and the immediately preceding system system pressure aSYSPRESS is larger than the predetermined allowable value VSVOUT, the process proceeds to step S207. If it progresses to step S207, after a vapor monitor timer is counted up, it will transfer to step S204 again and will repeat the process after step S204 again.
On the other hand, if the vapor monitor timer has reached the specified time VMTIME in step S204 as described above, the process proceeds to step S208 to execute a stop-time leak diagnosis. In step S208, it is confirmed that the drain cut valve 8 is closed. In step S209, a stop-time leak diagnosis is executed.
When the leak diagnosis is completed, the process proceeds to step S210, the drain cut valve 8 is opened, and the process of this routine is ended.
According to the leak diagnosis apparatus for an evaporative fuel processing system according to the second embodiment of the present invention described above, when the
If vapor is generated, the pressure in the closed system system rises according to the amount of the generated vapor. Therefore, it is possible to more accurately leak whether or not vapor is generated in the
