Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a heavy duty radial tire capable of improving the durability of a bead portion.
[0002]
[Prior art and problems to be solved by the invention]
Since heavy-duty radial tires used in heavy vehicles such as trucks and buses are used in harsh environments such as high loads and high internal pressures, large repeated deformations occur in the bead portion as the vehicle travels. Therefore, in this type of tire, there is a tendency that damage is particularly concentrated on the bead portion.
[0003]
The inventors have investigated various damage conditions of the bead portion of the radial tire for heavy load, and it is mainly due to the looseness at the end of the carcass ply or bead reinforcement layer, but surprisingly, It was found that there are many toes that are missing (deficient) in the toe portion of the bead. Such chipping of the toe portion causes a decrease in the fitting force between the rim and the tire and causes a decrease in the durability of the bead portion such as air leakage.
[0004]
Such toe chipping is likely to occur mainly when the rim is assembled and removed, and particularly when the used tire is replaced and removed from the rim. In addition to the above-mentioned problems, a tire with such a tow chipped part may cause rusting of the cord or poor adhesion when the rubber crack from the toe chipped part reaches the bead reinforcement layer, etc. There is also a risk of being invited.
[0005]
The present invention has been devised in view of the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide a heavy duty radial tire capable of improving the durability of the bead portion.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention according to claim 1 of the present invention is arranged in a toroidal carcass extending from the tread portion through the sidewall portion to the bead core of the bead portion, and radially outside the carcass in the tire radial direction and inside the tread portion. A heavy-duty radial tire having a belt layer, wherein the bead core is formed by winding a bead wire and has a bead core strength of 200, which is a product of the strength per bead wire and the number of wound wires. A rim seat surface extending from the heel point P1 where the bead base line and the bead portion meet on the heel side to the bead toe end Pt in a normal state in which the rim is assembled to the normal rim and the normal internal pressure is filled and no load is applied. The bead base width BW, which is a parallel length, and the bead portion in contact with the rim seat surface on the toe side from the heel point P1. A straight line connecting the contact end P2 and the toe end Pt with a ratio (BCW / BW) to the contact width BCW that is a length along the rim sheet surface reaching the contact end P2 that is 0.55 to 0.70. However, the toe floating angle α, which is an angle formed with respect to the rim seat surface, is 10 to 15 °.
[0007]
In the present specification, the “regular rim” is a rim determined for each tire in the standard system including the standard on which the tire is based. For example, a standard rim for JATMA and a “Design Rim” for TRA. Or “Measuring Rim” for ETRTO. In addition, “regular internal pressure” is the air pressure that each standard defines for each tire in the standard system including the standard on which the tire is based. It is the maximum air pressure for JATMA and the table “TIRE LOAD LIMITS” for TRA. The maximum value described in "AT VARIOUS COLD INFLATION PRESSURES". If ETRTO, "INFLATION PRESSURE".
[0008]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

In FIG. 4, the relationship between the bead core strength and the bead deformation angle is shown by a solid line graph. This graph shows the results of a road test in which various heavy-duty radial tires having a tire size of 11R22.5 are mounted on the drive shaft of a dump vehicle. Further, the bead deformation angle means a deformation angle β of the bead toe portion before and after the test, as shown in FIG. As is apparent from the experimental results, when the bead core strength is less than 200 kN, no tow chipping occurs, but the bead deformation angle increases rapidly. When the bead portion deformation angle is increased, a large strain is concentrated on the end portions of the carcass ply 6A and the

Further, in the tire 1 according to the present invention, in the normal state, a toe floating angle α, which is an angle formed by the straight line K connecting the contact end P2 and the toe end Pt with respect to the rim seat surface J1, is set to 10 to 15 °. . As described above, regarding the bead base width BW, the contact ratio with the rim sheet surface J1 is defined, and the lift angle of the toe side portion is limited, so that toe chipping can be more effectively prevented. That is, in the tire 1 of this embodiment, interference with the rim of the bead toe portion can be reduced when the rim is assembled and the rim is removed (mainly used items).

【The invention's effect】
As described above, the radial tire for heavy loads of the present invention limits the bead core strength, the ratio of the bead base width BW and its contact width BCW (BCW / BW), and the toe lift angle α to a certain range, The occurrence of toe chipping can be prevented and the durability of the bead portion can be improved.
