SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide an X-ray tube apparatus having a small lateral dimension with respect to the X-ray emission direction and a wide space around the X-ray emission window.
[0009]
Another object of the present invention is to provide an X-ray inspection apparatus that can irradiate X-rays to the object to be inspected from various angles and directions.
[0010]

An X-ray tube apparatus according to a first aspect of the present invention includes an electron beam generation source, an anode that generates X-rays by collision of an electron beam irradiated from the electron beam generation source, and a rotating unit that rotates the anode. The center of the X-ray radiation direction generated from the anode is substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the anode by the rotating means.
[0011]
Conventionally, the center of the X-ray radiation direction is substantially perpendicular to the rotation axis of the anode. For this reason, the rotating means for rotating the anode has to be disposed beside the X-ray radiation window. According to the first aspect of the present invention, the rotation means for rotating the anode can be disposed below the X-ray radiation window by making the center of the X-ray radiation direction substantially parallel to the rotation axis of the anode. .
[0012]
An X-ray tube apparatus according to a second aspect of the present invention includes an electron beam generation source, an anode that generates X-rays by collision of an electron beam irradiated from the electron beam generation source, and a rotating unit that rotates the anode. In the X-ray tube apparatus having the above, the irradiation direction of the electron beam irradiated from the electron beam generation source to the anode is made substantially perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the anode by the rotating means.
[0013]
Conventionally, the irradiation direction of the electron beam coincides with the rotation axis direction of the anode. For this reason, the rotating means for rotating the anode has to be arranged side by side with the electron beam generation source. According to the second aspect of the present invention, the electron beam generation source and the rotating means for rotating the anode can be arranged substantially vertically by making the irradiation direction of the electron beam substantially perpendicular to the rotation axis of the anode. Therefore, the electron beam generation source or the rotating means can be disposed below the X-ray emission window.
[0014]
An X-ray inspection apparatus according to a third aspect of the present invention includes an X-ray generation source that generates X-rays, and an X-ray detection apparatus that detects X-rays generated from the X-ray generation source and transmitted through the inspection object And an X-ray tube apparatus according to claim 1 or 2 as an X-ray generation source.
[0015]
The X-ray tube apparatus according to claim 1 or 2 has a small transverse dimension with respect to the X-ray emission direction and a wide space around the X-ray emission window. By using this as an X-ray generation source, it is possible to irradiate X-rays to the inspection object from various angles and directions.
