Claims (5)
- 板状に形成され、被測定ガス中の特定ガスの濃度に応じて電気的特性が変化する固体電解質体と、
前記固体電解質体の一方の面と他方の面に形成され、該固体電解質体を介して対向し、当該固体電解質体と共に検知部を構成する一対の矩形状の電極本体部と、
前記固体電解質体の一方の面に、かつ、当該固体電解質体と一方の前記電極本体部との間に設けられ、一方の前記電極本体部の4辺のうち1組の対向する2辺の外縁を覆う第1絶縁層と、
前記固体電解質体の他方の面に、かつ、当該固体電解質体と他方の前記電極本体部との間に設けられ、他方の前記電極本体部の前記第1絶縁層が覆う2辺とは異なる側の2辺を覆う第2絶縁層と、
を具備し、
前記第1絶縁層及び第2絶縁層を重ねて前記電極本体部の対向方向に投影したときに、該電極本体部の対応する位置に当該電極本体部より小さい開口部が形成されるように、前記第1絶縁層及び第2絶縁層が設けられていることを特徴とするガスセンサ素子。 - 前記電極本体部には、前記固体電解質体の長手方向に延び、該電極本体部から信号を取り出す電極リード部が接続されており、前記第1絶縁層及び第2絶縁層は、前記電極リード部と前記固体電解質体との間にまで延在していることを特徴とする請求項1記載のガスセンサ素子。
- 前記一対の電極本体部のうち一方が拡散律速部を介して測定室内に導入される前記被測定ガスに晒される検知電極部、他方が基準電極部であり、前記第2絶縁層は、前記検知電極部の前記被測定ガスが測定室内に導入される方向に沿った1組の対向する2辺の外縁を覆うように設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のガスセンサ素子。
- 前記基準電極部は、多孔質体から構成されると共に、該基準電極部は前記固体電解質体及び遮蔽体に覆われてなり、当該基準電極部側に酸素が汲み込まれ、その汲み込まれた酸素により自身の内部に所定レベルの基準酸素濃度が形成される自己生成型基準電極とされていることを特徴とする請求項3記載のガスセンサ素子。
- 請求項1〜4いずれか1項記載のガスセンサ素子を、主体金具に組み込んだことを特徴とするガスセンサ。
