前記引戸の下部に、該引戸の前方において左右方向に操作可能な把手部材を、付勢手段により常時引戸の閉止方向に付勢するようにして設けるとともに、引戸の下部の内部空間に、ラッチ作動部材と、これに上下に相対移動自在に連係されたラッチ部材とを、上下方向に移動可能に収容し、前記把手部材とラッチ作動部材とを、把手部材を引戸の開き方向に操作したときラッチ作動部材が上昇し、同じく引戸の閉じ方向に操作したときラッチ作動部材が下降するようにした連動手段をもって連係し、かつラッチ作動部材が上昇させられたとき、これと連動して前記ラッチ部材が上昇して、その下端が前記開口部の下部上面から離間することにより、ラッチ部材の下端が前記開口部の下部上面に設けた係止部より離脱し、ラッチ作動部材が下降させられたとき、ラッチ部材が自重により下降することにより、その下端が前記係止部と係合して引戸を閉止位置に拘束しうるようにしたことを特徴とする引戸のラッチ装置。
