Description
本発明は、高解像度又は低解像度のOn Screen Display(OSD:文字情報やサブ画像等を画面上にオーバーラップさせて表示する手法)出力を行なう画像データ出力制御装置に関する。 The present invention relates to an image data output control device that performs high-resolution or low-resolution On Screen Display (OSD: a technique for displaying character information, sub-images and the like on a screen).
In recent years, the number of pixels of a digital camera has been increased, but a display function such as a liquid crystal display provided in the digital camera main body does not have a sufficient resolution corresponding to the increase in the number of pixels. In other words, the liquid crystal display is intended to confirm the captured image and does not require high resolution.
For the above reasons, when displaying on a liquid crystal display or the like, the image size is resized to display a reduced size, that is, a low resolution image.
On the other hand, an image to be output and displayed on an external display device such as a monitor or HDTV (high-definition) mounted on a PC (personal computer) or to be displayed is used for the external display device. The resolution needs to be high. This is because, in this case, the purpose is not to confirm but to view the image as in the case of printing.
As described above, it is necessary to convert the resolution of the captured image data into various resolutions (sizes) according to the output form (external display device or the like).
Here, in
However, in the technique of
In particular, in a digital camera, it is generally performed that a sub-image (OSD data) is synthesized and displayed on captured image data. In such OSD data, a liquid crystal display mounted on the digital camera is displayed. Low-resolution data and high-resolution data for external output (video output) must be prepared, and the amount of limited memory capacity in the digital camera becomes enormous.
In view of the above facts, an object of the present invention is to obtain an image data output control device capable of displaying images with different resolutions such as high resolution image data and low resolution image data in a small memory area.
The present invention is an image data output control device that outputs combined data obtained by combining main image data and sub-image data to be displayed superimposed on the two display media having different resolutions. there are, the main image data, and converts each resolution of the two display media, and resolution conversion data obtaining means for obtaining two resolution-converted image data, the two obtained by the resolution conversion data acquisition means Storage means for storing resolution-converted image data and single sub-image data respectively , and when the composite data is output to each of the two display media , the user has set high-resolution sub-image data In this case, the sub-image data is converted into a resolution corresponding to a high-resolution display medium of the two display media, and If the sub-image data of low resolution is set by the user, the sub-image data is converted into a resolution corresponding to the low-resolution display medium of the two display media and stored. a sub image data resolution conversion unit which Ru is stored in the means, stored in said storage means, and with each of the resolution-converted image data corresponding to the two display media, sub which is more converted to the sub image data resolution conversion unit It characterized in that it comprises a combined data generating means for synthesizing the image data to generate each composite data.
According to the present invention, the resolution conversion data acquisition unit converts the main image data into two different resolutions, and acquires two resolution conversion image data. The storage means stores a plurality of resolution-converted image data and single sub-image data.
In the sub image data resolution conversion means, when the composite data is output to each of the two display media , if the user has set the high resolution sub image data, the sub image data is converted to the 2 If the user has set the low-resolution sub-image data, the sub-image data is converted into the resolution corresponding to the high-resolution display medium of the two display media and the user sets the low-resolution sub-image data. one of the display Ru is stored in the storage means into a resolution corresponding to the low resolution of the display medium of the medium.
The combined data generating means, for generating each composite data by reading each of the resolution-converted image data corresponding to two display medium from the storage means, a resolution conversion sub-image data is synthesized. As a result, the sub image data can be smaller than that of the display medium, and the memory capacity can be reduced.
In the present invention, the main image data is imaged data captured by an imaging device, and the sub-image data is OSD (On Screen Display) data stored in advance.
By the way, in a digital camera or the like, for example, imaging data is main image data, and sub-image data corresponds to OSD data. Conventionally, OSD data is stored in a memory built in the digital camera for each display medium corresponding to display media having different resolutions such as an LCD mounted on the digital camera and external output.
On the other hand, in the present invention, it is only necessary to store at least one type of sub image data, which leads to a reduction in memory capacity.
In the present invention, when outputting the synthesized data to any display media of the two display media, said storage means to store only the resolution-converted image data corresponding to the one of the display medium It is characterized by.
In the present invention, the resolution of the sub-image data is stored according to a relatively highest resolution among the resolutions of display media having different resolutions.
By doing in this way, even when sub-image data is displayed on a display medium having a relatively high resolution, high-definition image display can be performed.
As described above, the present invention has an excellent effect of obtaining an image data output control device capable of displaying images of different resolutions such as high resolution image data and low resolution image data in a small memory area.

The second embodiment of the present invention will be described below. In the second embodiment, the same components as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description of the configuration is omitted.
The feature of the second embodiment is that the
Generally, when the output to the
Therefore, when the
Further, as shown in FIG. 7, when the output to the
The
When the
Conventionally, when the display on the
Further, the
The display on the
Next, the operation of the
First, in
In
In
As described above, in the second embodiment, when there is no need to display the
