Description
本発明の手法は、候補である可能性の低い大部分の99%を直接考察せずに、その使用可能なシンボル組合せ数の約1%であると考えられるいくつかの候補シンボル組合せを即座に得ることのできる候補サーチを含む。これは、すべての使用可能候補を評価することに依存していた従来の復号化方式にまさる大幅な利点および改善を表すものである。
一例でのコスト関数は、送信アンテナ全体に及ぶ正定値の和に定式化され、サーチ半径を使用してそのサーチ空間ツリーの大部分を刈り込む。

- 無線通信システム(20)で用いられる装置であって、
複数の使用可能なシンボル組合せを有する信号を受信し、前記使用可能なシンボル組合せの一部内の候補の増分コストを決定する復号器を含む受信器(24)を備え、前記復号器は複数のサーチユニット(102)を含み、前記ユニットの各々は、縦型探索を用いて前記使用可能なシンボル組合せのうちの割り当てられたいずれかの累積コストを決定し、前記サーチユニット(102)の各々は、使用可能な前記候補の全てを含むツリー構造(32)における考察される候補の各々のレベルに関する識別子情報(120、122)を有する考察される候補の各々の累積コスト(124)を少なくとも一時的に含むスタックメモリ(114)を含み、前記サーチユニット(102)の少なくとも1つと関連した対応するスタック出力は、前記サーチユニット(102)の他のサーチユニットに選択的に渡される、装置。 - 前記ツリー構造(32)の一のレベルにおける候補が選択された半径内のコストを有するときには、前記サーチユニット(102)は前記候補を前記スタックメモリ(114)に置く、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 別のサーチユニット(102)は、その割り当てられた組合せのコストの決定を完了し、前記1つのサーチユニット(102)がその割り当てられた組合せのコストを未だ決定しているときには、前記1つのサーチユニット(102)のサーチの完了を支援するのに用いられる、請求項1に記載の装置。

- 前記復号器は、受信した送信のチャネルマトリクスの三角行列表現を決定する事前計算ユニット(100)を備え、前記事前計算ユニット(100)は前記三角行列表現の分子部分と分母部分とを分離する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記事前計算ユニット(100)は、式VHWV=HHHを用いるものであり、Vは上側三角行列であり、Wは実数値の重み1/wiの対角行列である、請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記事前計算ユニット(100)は、式H=ΦHK−1Pを用いるものであり、Hは複素N×Mチャネル行列であり、K−1は要素1/kiを有するN×N対角実数行列であり、Pは、位取りされたギブンス回転をHに適用することによって得られる上側三角行列である、請求項7に記載の装置。
