ここで、u(V)は、ユニット・ステップ関数である。インデックス信号iは、図5に示すように、音量レベルVと共に増加し、86および94の間で2音量レベルずつ増加する。V=86未満の音量レベルでは、インデックス信号はi=0であり、ハイ・パス・フィルタのカットオフ周波数は十分に低いので、何らかの影響が信号に及ぶにしても、最小限の影響に止まる(例えば、210Hz以下のカットオフ周波数)。ハイ・パス・フィルタの周波数応答は、i≧1に対して、次の式で決定される。
連続するインデックス間で切換を行うためには、円滑に更新するインシデント(入射)インパルス応答(IIR:incident impulse response)ディジタル・フィルタを用いると有利な場合がある。配合(ブレンド)シーケンスが、アーチファクトがない遷移の間フィルタの状態をクリアにしつつ、信号経路の連続するフィルタ入力(および出力)を円滑に傾斜(ランプ:ramp)させる。
V=94以上の音量レベルでは、係数信号Cは0の値を有し、出力信号912は入力信号900と同一であるので、第2アレイ・ドライバの影響を受けることなく等化される。86および94間の音量レベルでは、第2アレイ・ドライバの出力は、84の音量設定点から始まって徐々に減少し、一方ダイナミック・イコライザ・モジュール502を用いてスペクトルを保存するので、音量設定値94以上では、アレイは放射を大幅に増大することができる。ダイナミック・イコライザ・モジュール502は、第2アレイ・ドライバの効果を(濾波または減衰によって)変化させるために、適切に出力信号を濾波する。
Claims (9)
- 電気音響変換方法であって、
アレイ(304)内の複数の電気音響変換器(302)に供給されるオーディオ電気信号を制御して、音量制御(508)または検出された信号レベル(1006)の関数として所定の指向性および音響音量特性を達成して、前記アレイの電気音響変換器からの音響出力信号の相殺を減少させ、前記オーディオ電気信号を制御することによって、前記特性の変化に伴って、前記アレイの放射音響パワー・スペクトルの変化を生じさせ、
イコライザ(502)を調節して、前記アレイの放射音響パワー・スペクトルの変化を補償する、
ことを含む電気音響変換方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法において、前記音響パワー・スペクトルの変化の補償は、放射相対音響パワー・スペクトルを実質上均一に維持することを含む方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法において、前記オーディオ電気信号の制御は、より高い音響音量レベルに対して、前記オーディオ電気信号の1つの振幅を低下させる方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法において、前記オーディオ電気信号の制御は、限定された周波数範囲にわたって前記信号の1つのレベルを調節することを含む方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法において、前記オーディオ電気信号の制御は、ハイ・パス・フィルタ(612)において前記信号の1つを処理し、相補的オール・パス・フィルタ(614)において前記信号の他方を処理する方法。
- 電気音響変換装置であって、
入力オーディオ電気信号を受ける入力端子と、
アレイ(304)内の複数の電気音響変換器(302)と、
前記電気音響変換器に結合される前記入力オーディオ信号から2つの関係する出力オーディオ電気信号(602,606)を発生し、音量制御(508)または検出された信号レベル(1006)の関数として所定の指向性および音響音量特性を達成して、前記アレイの電気音響変換器からの音響出力信号の相殺を減少させるように構成配置されている回路(504)、および前記信号の制御によって生ずる前記アレイの放射音響パワー・スペクトルの変化を補償するように調節されるイコライザ(502)と、
を備えた電気音響変換装置。 - 請求項6記載の装置において、前記イコライザ(502)はダイナミック・イコライザを備えている装置。
- 請求項7記載の装置において、前記ダイナミック・イコライザは、1対の信号処理経路(902,904)と、前記2つの経路上で処理される信号を合成するコンバイナ(914)と、を含む装置。
- 電気音響変換器アレイであって、
関係する電気信号成分のソースと、
前記関係する電気信号成分によってそれぞれ駆動される複数の電気音響変換器と、
請求項6〜8のいずれかに記載の電気音響変換装置であって、前記関係する電気信号成分のソースが入力オーディオ電気信号を供給する電気音響変換装置と、
