BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a reactor power monitoring device that monitors a power distribution in a reactor pressure vessel (hereinafter also referred to as a reactor) of a boiling water reactor (hereinafter referred to as a BWR).
[Prior art]
The reactor power monitoring device measures the neutrons because the reactor power is proportional to the neutron flux, displays the reactor power, evaluates the burnup of the fuel, and when the power in the reactor is excessive It is used as an output detection means for reactor protection like shutting down the reactor.
[0002]
This reactor power monitoring device is composed of a neutron detector and a signal processing device for amplifying / shaping the signal, and its measurement range is very wide from its rated power to 10 -10 Since it is necessary to measure with high accuracy over a double range, it is difficult to measure the entire range with one type of measuring device. For this reason, a start-up range neutral monitor (SRNM) is used to measure a region where the output at the time of reactor startup is low, and a local power range monitor (LPRM: Local Power Range) in a region where the output is high. Monitor) is used.
[0003]
In addition, SRNM uses two more measurement methods, where the reactor power is low, that is, the reactor power is 10%. -9 % To 10 -4 %, The activation area output is monitored by counting the number of output pulses of the detector (hereinafter referred to as pulse measurement). On the other hand, the region where the reactor power is high, that is, the reactor power is 10 -5 In% to 10%, the power of the fluctuation caused by the overlapping of the output pulses of the detector is measured (hereinafter referred to as Campbell measurement) to monitor the reactor output. Note that four LPRM detectors form a set, and are arranged vertically in the axial direction in the reactor pressure vessel to constitute an in-core monitor assembly.
[0004]
Conventionally, eight or ten SRNM detectors are usually installed in a reactor pressure vessel, and about 52 in-core monitor assemblies (about 208 LPRM detectors) are installed. The SRNM detector and the in-core monitor assembly were individually installed in the radial cross section in the reactor pressure vessel.
[0005]
In addition, SRNM is used as a detection element for the reactor protection function at the time of excessive power, detects an unexpected abnormal transient change that occurs during operation, generates a reactor emergency stop (reactor scram) signal, To stop. Therefore, in order to detect this abnormal transient change, each detector in the reactor is assigned to the reactor protection system separation section. This reactor protection system separation section has a special logic circuit configuration such as double “1 out of 2” and “2 out of 4”, which can prevent unnecessary reactor shutdown due to malfunction and abnormal operation due to malfunction. It is preventing.
[0006]
By the way, detectors such as SRNM detectors need to be regularly inspected and maintained. When these detectors are maintained and adjusted, if the data at the time of adjustment is detected as abnormal data, the reactor emergency A shutdown (reactor scram) signal is issued and the reactor shuts down. Therefore, during maintenance and adjustment of the detector itself, the detector is excluded from normal monitoring, which is called bypass. In order to perform this bypass, a detector grouping different from the reactor protection system separation section is performed.
[0007]
In the reactor protection system separation section and the bypass group, the distribution of individual SRNM detectors was different. For this reason, the operator who operates the reactor becomes complicated to recognize and handle the detector, which is a problem in operability.
[0008]
On the other hand, in recent years, in order to increase the reactor power, there is a tendency to increase the size of the reactor core, that is, increase the size of the reactor pressure vessel in the radial direction. Along with this, it has become necessary to increase the number of SRNM detectors, which has conventionally been eight or ten.
[0009]
However, if the number of SRNM detectors is increased, a large number of in-furnace guide tubes and flanges for the SRNM detectors must be provided, and the number of through holes in the pressure vessel increases and reliability decreases. In addition, this increases the cost, and there is a problem that the complexity of design and operation increases with the increase of detectors.
[0010]
Specifically, in the current improved boiling water (ABWR) nuclear power plant, 10 SRNM detectors and 52 in-core monitor assemblies are provided, each inserted and installed in a nuclear pressure vessel. . Therefore, the total number of neutron detectors installed is 62, and it is necessary to provide 62 guide tubes and flanges in the furnace.
[0011]
On the other hand, there is a need for more efficient fuel exchange in the nuclear reactor and higher fuel burnup. As one countermeasure against this, since BWR performs fuel replacement for each fuel bundle, which is an assembly of fuel rods, it is conceivable to increase the size of the fuel bundle and improve the efficiency of replacement. At that time, the BWR has a structure in which the control rod and the SRNM detector or the in-core monitor assembly are inserted between the fuel bundles. Space is decreasing and efficient detector placement is required.
[0012]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As a means for solving such a problem, it is conceivable that the SRNM detector and the LPRM detector are constituted by the same detector assembly.
[0013]
However, SRNM detectors and LPRM detectors have the following installation differences. The current design cannot be installed in the same detector assembly at the same time, and it is necessary to improve the sensor structure. I came.
[0014]
First, the first problem is the difference in measurement range between the SRNM detector and the LPRM detector. The SRNM detector is larger than the LPRM detector. Conventionally, one SRNM detector is configured to be stored in the detector assembly. That is, when the SRNM detector is inserted into the conventional in-core monitor assembly, the diameter of the detection portion of the SRNM detector needs to be made thinner than that of the conventional one.
[0015]
The SRNM detector is composed of a fission detector, and the neutron sensitivity in this case is determined by the amount of fission material applied to the electrode surface. However, if the coating density per unit area on the electrode surface is increased, the fission fragments generated by the fission at the electrode are attenuated by the applied fission material itself, so the sensitivity increases even if the coating thickness is increased. do not do. Conventionally, the maximum coating thickness of uranium has been evaluated from the viewpoint of this condition and manufacturing stability, and the electrode structure has been determined to be the smallest size that satisfies the sensitivity.
[0016]
Therefore, even when the diameter of the cylindrical electrode of the SRNM detector is reduced, in order to make the neutron sensitivity equivalent to the conventional one, it is necessary to make the electrode area equivalent. In other words, it has been found that it is necessary to increase the length by reducing the diameter of the cylindrical electrode.
[0017]
However, when the SRNM detector is lengthened for storing in the in-core monitor assembly, it is very difficult to keep the electrode interval constant, and countermeasures are required. That is, the electrodes of the SRNM detector are composed of a central anode and a cylindrical cathode disposed on the outer periphery thereof, and the electrode interval between them needs to be maintained at a constant interval of about 0.2 mm. .
[0018]
In addition, for the application of the fission material to the inner surface of the cathode, a method of applying a coating material from the lower part is used. The problem is that the thicknesses are different. Further, there is a problem that it is necessary to sufficiently relax the thermal distortion as the length increases.
[0019]
Next, the second problem is a measurement problem. SRNM is vulnerable to external noise because it performs pulse measurement and Campbell measurement that handle minute AC signals. Therefore, the SRNM is insulated from the reactor pressure vessel / detector support and the like, and is configured to be grounded only at the measuring device position.
[0020]
On the other hand, since LPRM performs direct current measurement, it is hardly affected by external noise, which is an alternating current component. Therefore, these insulations are not specially applied.
[0021]
Due to such measurement problems, the LPRM detector is configured such that the detector assembly is positively brought into contact with the reactor water (about 300 ° C.) in order to cool the heat generated by the γ rays in the reactor. . On the other hand, the SRNM detector has a structure that does not come into contact with the reactor water from the viewpoint of noise resistance, and is heat resistant in consideration of the fact that the detector temperature rises to about 400 ° C. to 500 ° C. due to the heat generated by γ rays. It has a structural design with excellent performance.
[0022]
Therefore, it has been found that due to such differences in detector installation conditions, it is necessary to review the structure of the sensor itself in order to store it simultaneously in the same detector assembly.
[0023]
The present invention has been made in consideration of the above circumstances. Even when the activation area monitor detector is integrated into the detector assembly tube to reduce the diameter and length, the performance of the activation area monitor detector is improved. An object of the present invention is to provide a reactor power monitoring device that can be secured.
[0024]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, according to the first aspect of the present invention, in the reactor power monitoring apparatus for monitoring the power in the reactor pressure vessel, a local power region monitor detector for monitoring the local power of the reactor, A start-up area monitor detector for monitoring the start-up area output of the nuclear reactor, calibration means for calibrating the sensitivity of the local output area monitor detector, and these local output area monitor detectors, start-up area monitor detectors and calibration means A detector assembly tube in which the output of the start-up area monitor detector is measured, a start-up area monitor monitoring device for monitoring the output of the nuclear power, and a signal of the local output area monitor detector is measured. And a local output region monitor monitoring device for monitoring the output of the nuclear power, and the start-up region monitor detector maintains a positive electrode and a negative electrode and a distance between both electrodes. And an insulating holding member for insulating between the electrodes, and a plurality of electrode pairs arranged in the axial direction of the core of the nuclear reactor, The plurality Electrode pair And the starting area monitor monitoring device electrically in series And electrode connecting means for connection.
[0025]
In the invention according to
[0026]
In particular, heat resistance can be further improved by configuring the electrode connecting means with a foil, a spring or the like. Furthermore, it becomes easy to ensure the uniformity of the uranium application surface during uranium application by dividing the electrode.
[0027]
The calibration means for calibrating the sensitivity of the local output region monitor detector calibrates the local output region monitor detector and the startup region monitor detector at the same time to perform abnormality diagnosis, and also measures the distribution in the reactor axial direction. These detectors are stored in a detector assembly tube. The output of the start area monitor detector is measured by the start area monitor monitoring device according to the characteristics. Further, the signals of the output area monitor detector are collectively measured by the local output area monitor monitoring device.
[0028]
As a result, the start-up area monitor detector, the output area monitor detector, and their calibration means can be stored in the same detector assembly tube, and the entire range of the reactor can be monitored collectively. The detector can be calibrated with the same calibration system.

According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, in the reactor power monitoring device for monitoring the power in the reactor pressure vessel of the nuclear reactor, the reactor power monitoring devices are arranged in the axial direction of the core of the reactor and distributed within a height range corresponding to the core. A plurality of electrode pairs, The plurality Electrode pair Electrically in series And an electrode connecting means for connecting, and a detector for the entire range monitoring monitor for monitoring the output of the entire range from the start-up to the output of the reactor, and calibrating the sensitivity of the detector for the all range monitoring monitor, Output distribution monitoring means for monitoring the output distribution within, detector detector tube for storing the detector for all range monitoring monitor and output distribution monitoring means, and the output of the detector for all range monitoring monitor, And an all-range monitoring device for monitoring the output of the nuclear power.
[0036]
[0037]
Conventionally, the local output region monitor detector and the start-up region monitor detector have secured a function to generate a reactor shutdown signal when the reactor malfunctions, that is, a trip function. Accordingly, it is possible to design a sensor with a high-speed response that satisfies the same trip response requirement as that of the conventional local output region monitor detector and the activation region monitor detector. Further, the axial power distribution of the nuclear reactor and the axial sensitivity distribution of the detector for monitoring the entire range are measured and calibrated by the power distribution monitoring means to perform abnormality diagnosis. These detectors are stored in a detector assembly tube. The outputs of the all-range monitoring monitor detector and the power distribution monitoring means are input to the all-range monitoring device to continuously monitor the reactor output.
[0038]
By integrating the functions of the conventional start-up area monitor detector and the local output area monitor detector into one long all-range monitoring monitor detector, these are integrated into the same detector assembly. It becomes possible.
[0039]
[0040]
[0041]
As a result, the startup area monitor detector can be made longer and thinner, and the local output area monitor detector and the startup area monitor detector can be stored in the same detector assembly tube. It is possible to reduce the number of detector assemblies to be inserted.
[0042]
Claim 8 In the described invention, claims 1 to 7 In the reactor power monitoring device according to any one of the above, a ceramic insulating layer is formed on the sensor case on the outer surface of the start-up region monitor detector or the full-range monitoring monitor detector.
[0043]
Claim 8 In the described invention, by performing ceramic coating directly on the surface of the sensor case of the start-up area monitor detector or the full-range monitoring monitor detector, the diameter of the sensor can be reduced compared to the conventional case where alumina parts are used as spacers. Can be realized. This makes it possible to increase the length and diameter of the activation area monitor detector.
[0044]
[0045]
[0046]
Accordingly, the activation area monitor detector can be lengthened, and the local output area monitor detector and the activation area monitor detector can be stored in the same detector assembly tube.

[0073]
By the way, a general SRNM detector performs pulse measurement and Campbell measurement at the time of start-up and stop of the reactor, but at the rated operation when the output of the reactor is increased, the ionization amount of the enclosed gas accompanying the fission in the sensor is small. The voltage applied between the electrodes cannot be collected, and a saturation phenomenon occurs in which the output is not proportional to the fission amount, that is, the neutron intensity, and cannot be used for measurement.
[0074]
However, in the case of having an electrode longer than 1/2 m higher than the reactor height of 4 m as in this embodiment, even if uranium for realizing the required neutron sensitivity is applied to the electrode, the electrode of the detector Since the area is large, it is possible to design a sensor that keeps the amount of generated charges per electrode unit area low. That is, by extending the SRNM detector, that is, by increasing the electrode area, it is possible to realize the full-
