【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、下面に吸込口を開口するとともに被掃除面に交差する面に当接することにより開口する吸塵口を有した電気掃除機の吸込口体およびこの電気掃除機の吸込口体を備えた電気掃除機に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、この種の電気掃除機の吸込口体として、例えば実公昭61−37394号公報および特開平1−181826号公報などに記載の各種構成が知られている。

そして、実公昭61−37394号公報に記載のものは、被掃除面である床面と対向する下面に空気とともに塵埃を吸い込む吸込口を開口した吸込室を走行方向の前側に区画形成するケース体を備えている。このケース体の前側には、吸込口に亘って吸塵口が切欠形成されている。また、ケース体の少なくとも前面を含む周面に取り付けられるバンパには、吸塵口を覆い下端縁が自由端の舌片状のシールリップが一体的に設けられているとともに、このシールリップの前面にはバンパを含むケース体の最外周より先端が外方に突出する突起部が設けられ、家具や壁面に突起部が当接することによりシールリップが弾性変形して吸塵口を開口させ、家具や壁際の塵埃を吸塵口から吸塵する構成が採られている。

また、特開平1−181826号公報に記載のものは、被掃除面である床面と対向する下面に吸込口を開口した吸込室を走行方向の前側に区画形成するケース体を備えている。そして、ケース体の前側下面には、走行方向の前方および下方に向けて開口し吸込口に連通する凹部が設けられている。また、ケース体には、前面に位置して先端部が進退可能にスプリングなどの付勢手段により突出する突出部が配設されている。さらに、ケース体には、凹部の前側を覆って位置する舌片状のシールリップ部を備え、突出部が壁面や家具に当接することにより後退する突出部により回動して、シールリップ部にて覆う凹部の前側を開口する開閉体が配設され、この開閉体の回動により開口する凹部の前側から吸込口に吸塵する構成が採られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記実公昭61−37394号公報および特開平1−181826号公報などに記載の従来の電気掃除機の吸込口体では、家具や壁面に当接した際に開口される開口部分の下端は開放するので、例えば毛足の長い絨毯などを掃除する際に、絨毯の毛が開口に入り込んで開口を閉塞し、十分に家具や壁際の塵埃を吸塵できないおそれがある。

本発明は、上記問題点に鑑みなされたもので、簡単な構成で確実に吸塵口の開口状態を確保して効率よく吸塵できる電気掃除機およびその吸込口体を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
請求項1記載の電気掃除機の吸込口体は、被掃除面と対向する下面に吸込口を開口する吸込室を有し、周面に緩衝体を有するケース体と、このケース体の周面に前記吸込室に連通して設けられ外周方向に向けて開口する複数の吸塵口と、前記ケース体に設けられ前記各吸塵口の開口下縁をそれぞれ構成し下面に被掃除面と略平行に対向する走行面が設けられ、前記緩衝体よりも前記ケース体の内方に端部が位置する板状の複数の滑動部と、前記滑動部よりも前記ケース体の内方の位置にて前記吸塵口に取り付けられた開閉板、および、この開閉板に突設され前記吸塵口を介して前記緩衝体よりも前記ケース体の外方へと突出する突起部を備え、前記吸塵口のそれぞれに配置されているとともに、前記突起部が前記被掃除面と交差する面に当接することにより前記各開閉板が前記各吸塵口を開口可能にそれぞれ閉塞する複数の開閉体と、前記ケース体の前記吸塵口間に位置して設けられ前記ケース体の下面から周縁へと湾曲して連続する反り面とを具備したものである。

そして、下面に被掃除面と略平行に対向する走行面を有したケース体の板状の滑動部にて下縁が構成されケース体の周面に形成された複数の吸塵口にそれぞれ開閉体を配置し、これら開閉体を、滑動部よりもケース体の内方の位置にて吸塵口に取り付けられた開閉板、および、この開閉板に突設され吸塵口を介して緩衝体よりもケース体の外方へと突出する突起部によって構成し、この突起部が被掃除面と交差する面に当接することにより開閉板により吸塵口を開口可能に閉塞するとともに、複数開口する吸塵口間に位置して、ケース体の下面から周縁へと湾曲して連続する反り面を設けることにより、例えば床面上を掃除する際には各開閉体により各吸塵口を閉塞して吸込室内の大気圧に対する負圧状態を確保して効率よく吸込口から床面の塵埃を吸い込み、家具や壁際を掃除する際には滑動部により絨毯の毛を押さえつけてこの毛が吸塵口に入り込むことが防止されて開口する各吸塵口から被掃除面と交差する面にて被掃除面までに風路が構成され、吸込口からでは吸塵し難い例えばケース体の前側に位置する家具や壁際の塵埃を確実に吸い込み、かつ、例えば毛足の長い絨毯などの凹凸のある被掃除面を掃除する場合でも被掃除面の凹凸が各吸塵口の下縁部に引っ掛かることなどを防止して、ケース体の走行性が向上し、掃除作業性が向上しつつ、板状の滑動部を設ける簡単な構成で床面および家具や壁際までも十分に吸塵して、掃除効率が向上する。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の一形態を示す電気掃除機の構成を図面を参照して説明する。

図2において、1は掃除機本体で、この掃除機本体1は、上面を開口した下部本体ケース2a、および、この下部本体ケース2aの後部上面を閉塞する上部本体ケース2bが、前面を含む周縁に図示しないバンパを挟持して接合されて前側上面を開口した本体ケース2を有している。そして、掃除機本体1は、本体ケース2の前側上面を開閉自在に閉塞する蓋体4を回動自在に軸支している。また、本体ケース2は、進行方向の前側下面に図示しない旋回自在の旋回輪が取り付けられ、本体ケース2の後側側面に大径の従動輪6が回転自在に設けられ、掃除機本体1は旋回輪と従動輪6とにて被掃除面である床面上を走行可能となっている。

そして、掃除機本体1内には、電動送風機7が収容される図示しない電動送風機室が後側に区画形成され、この電動送風機7の吸込側に連通しかつ上方が開放して蓋体4にて開閉され集塵フィルタを収容する集塵室8が前側に区画形成されている。さらに、掃除機本体1の前側には、集塵室8に臨んで開口しホース9が着脱可能に接続される接続口10が形成されている。

また、ホース9は、可撓なホース本体11と、このホース本体11の一端に設けられ掃除機本体1の接続口10に着脱可能に差し込み接続される接続管12と、ホース本体11の他端に設けられ延長管13を介して吸込口本体14が接続される把持部15とを備えている。そして、把持部15には、電動送風機7などの駆動状態を設定操作する各種スイッチ16,16を有した操作手段17が配設されている。

一方、吸込口本体14は、図3ないし図6に示すように、前後方向である走行方向に対して横長矩形状で、アクリロニトリル−ブタジエン−スチレン(ABS)樹脂などの合成樹脂製の上面を開口した下部ケース21と、この下部ケース21の上部に上面の開口を覆い同材質の下面を開口する上部ケース22とが、下部ケース21および上部ケース22の前面を含む周面に沿って軟質部材の緩衝体23を挟持して結合固定されて、後部略中央が後方に向けて突出する凸字状のケース体24を備えている。

そして、下部ケース21は上面に略垂直にリブ下部25aを有し、上部ケース22は下面に略垂直に下端縁がリブ下部25aに接合するリブ上部25bを有し、ケース体24はリブ下部25aおよびリブ上部25bにより横長矩形状の吸込部26とこの吸込部26の後部略中央に後方に一対突出するハウジング部27,27とにて凸字状に形成されている。また、吸込部26内には、リブ下部25aおよびリブ上部25bにより、前側に横長に位置し下部ケース21の下面に吸込口30が開口形成された吸込室31と、この吸込室31の一端側に位置して区画形成された駆動伝達室32と、吸込室31の一端側後部に位置して区画形成された電動機室33と、吸込室31の他端側後部に位置して区画形成された回路室34とを区画形成している。さらに、リブ下部25aおよびリブ上部25bの略中央には、それぞれ対向して凹状に形成された切欠保持凹部35a,35bがそれぞれ設けられている。

さらに、下部ケース21は、吸込部26の下面を構成する吸込下部21aと、この吸込下部21aの後部に一体的に設けられハウジング部27,27とにて凸字状に形成されている。そして、吸込下部21aの前部には、複数例えば2カ所、ケース体の長手方向に長手状すなわち横長状の吸塵口37,37が開口形成されている。そして、これら吸塵口37,37の下方には、図1に示すように、先端縁が前方に向けて吸込下部21aの底面から一面上に連続して突出する板状で下面に被掃除面である床面と略平行に対向する走行面38を有し上面で吸塵口37の下縁を構成する滑動部39が設けられている。さらに、吸込下部21aの前部には、滑動部39,39間に位置して先端縁が吸込下部21aの側部と同様に上方に向けて湾曲して突出し外面側に反り面40を有した案内部41が設けられている。なお、滑動部39の先端下縁は、円弧状に面取り42が設けられている。

また、吸込下部21aの前部には、上端縁が略半円状に切り欠かれた軸支凹部43を有する支持リブ44が複数設けられている。そして、これら支持リブ44の軸支凹部43には、吸塵口37を開閉する開閉体45が設けられている。この開閉体45は、軸方向がケース体24の長手方向に略沿う状態で支持リブ44の軸支凹部43に回転可能に軸支される回転シャフト46を備えている。また、回転シャフト46には、吸塵口37を開閉する開閉板47が一体的に設けられている。この開閉板47は、上端縁に回転シャフト46を嵌合する略円筒状の軸支部48が設けられ下端縁が後方である吸込室31に向けて湾曲した略板状に形成されている。また、開閉板47の下端縁が湾曲する側と反対側の前面には、前方に向けて略垂直に突出する板状の突起部49が突設されている。そして、開閉体45は、回転シャフト46に軸支された図示しないトーションコイルばねなどの閉塞保持手段により、常時図1に示すように開閉板47が吸塵口37を閉塞する状態に付勢されて、突起部49がケース体24の最外周に位置する緩衝体23より前方に突出する状態で保持されている。

一方、下部ケース21の吸込下部21aの前部両端側には、図示しない従動前輪が回転自在に軸支された従動前輪室51が形成されている。また、下部ケース21の一対のハウジング部27,27間には、従動後輪52を有した車輪軸53の両端部が架橋するように回転自在に軸支されている。

また、ケース体24には、ハウジング部27,27間に位置して下部ケース21および上部ケース22に挟持固定され吸込室31の後部略中央に連通する風路室54を区画する連結管部55が設けられている。この連結管部55は、円筒状で軸方向の一端側が吸込室31に向けてラッパ状に次第に径大となる吸込管部56を有した軸支管部57を有している。また、連結管部55は、吸込管部56の外周縁に外方に向けて鍔状に突出し周縁がそれぞれ下部ケース21および上部ケース22のリブ下部25aおよびリブ上部25bの各切欠保持凹部35a,35bに係合する取付板部58を備えている。そして、連結管部55は、軸支管部57の一端側の吸込管部56が吸込室31に向けてラッパ状に拡開し他端側がケース体24から後方に向けて略円筒状に突出し、軸支管部57の軸方向が前後方向かつ水平方向に沿ってケース体24に配設される。

さらに、連結管部55の軸支管部57には、回転自在に嵌着する回動管としての継手部61が取り付けられている。また、この継手部61には、一端部に設けられた回転軸62が延長管13やホース9に接続される他端側を上下方向に回動自在に継手部61に軸支された連通管としての連通管部63が取り付けられ、継手部61および連通管部63にて接続管64が構成されている。

また、ケース体24内には、吸込室31の左右方向の両端部のリブ下部25aおよびリブ上部25bの接合する位置にそれぞれ設けられた軸受66,66により回転自在に軸支された回転体としての回転清掃体67が配設されている。この回転清掃体67は、外周面に螺旋状に壁状のブレード68や布ブレードが設けられたシャフト69を備えている。そして、シャフト69の両端部には、回転自在に設けられ軸受66に係脱可能に装着される軸支部材71が回転自在に設けられているとともに、一端側にはプーリ72が一体的に設けられている。

さらに、ケース体24の電動機室33内には、出力プーリ75を設けた図示しない出力軸が駆動伝達室32に位置する状態で電動機76が配設されている。そして、出力プーリ75には回転清掃体67のプーリ72とにて無端ベルト状の駆動伝達部材78が掛け渡され、電動機76の駆動により回転清掃体67が回転する。

また、ケース体24の回路室34内には、床面検出手段80が配設されている。この床面検出手段80は、先端に床面に接地して回転する回転体81を軸支した腕部82の基端を回転体81がケース体24の下面に対して上下動するように軸支している。そして、ケース体24が床面から離間することにより回転体81が最下位に位置する状態に腕部82が回動することにより、ケース体24が持ち上げられたことを検出するスイッチ手段83が設けられている。また、腕部82には、略U字状に屈曲する保持腕部84が一体的に設けられているとともに、保持腕部84の上方には、上下方向に移動可能に図示しない球体が配設されている。そして、ケース体24の下面を上方に向けて反転させた状態では、球体が上部ケース22側に移動して保持腕部84の先端が球体に当接し、腕部82に設けた回転体81が自重によりケース体24内に移動することなくケース体24が持ち上げられた状態の最下位に位置する状態と同様の最下位に位置する状態で保持され、床面から持ち上げられていることをスイッチ手段83にて検出する。

次に、上記実施の形態の動作について説明する。

掃除するに際して、掃除機本体1に延長管13およびホース9を介して吸込口本体14を接続する。この状態で、ホース9の把持部15を持って操作手段17のスイッチ16の操作により、適宜電動送風機7および電動機76を所望の駆動状態で駆動し、把持部15を押動して吸込口本体14を床面上で前後に走行させる。

そして、電動送風機7の駆動により、適宜電動機76の駆動により回転する回転清掃体67にて掻き出された床面の塵埃を吸込口30から空気とともに吸い込み、延長管13およびホース9を介して掃除機本体1の集塵室8内に装着した集塵袋に流入して捕捉する。さらに、塵埃を集塵袋にて分離除去した空気は、電動送風機7から電動送風機室内に流入し、本体ケース2に設けられた図示しない排気口を介して外気に排気される。

なお、この床面上を走行させて掃除する状態では、閉塞保持手段の付勢により開閉体45の開閉板47が吸塵口37を閉塞した状態となっている。このため、吸塵口37から空気が吸い込まれるリークが防止されて、床面に対向する吸込口30のみが開口する状態となり、ケース体24の下面における大気圧に対する負圧状態が確保され、効率よく吸込口30から塵埃が空気とともに吸い込まれる。

そして、掃除する床面が絨毯などの毛足が長い場合、吸込口本体14を前進させる際に、吸込口本体14の前側下縁に位置する反り面40および滑動部39の面取り42により絨毯の毛が案内される状態となり、絨毯の毛が吸込口本体14の前側下縁部分に引っ掛かるなどを防止して吸込口本体14が円滑に走行する。

また、家具が載置された周縁、壁際などの床面に対して交差して立ち上がる面を有する部分の近傍を掃除する際、吸込口本体14の前面が家具や壁面に当接すると、吸込口本体14の最前に位置する開閉体45の突起部49の先端が先ず当接する。そして、図7に示すように、閉塞保持手段の付勢に抗して開閉板47が上端縁に軸支する回転シャフト46を回転軸として回動し、吸塵口37を開口する。

ここで、床面が毛足の長い絨毯などの場合、吸塵口37の下縁は滑動部39にて構成され、絨毯の毛が滑動部39により押さえ付けられる状態となって吸塵口37に入り込まず、吸塵口37の開口状態が確保される。そして、家具や壁面により床面から吸塵口37まで風路が構成される状態となって、家具や壁の際の塵埃を吸塵口37から吸い込み、吸込口30から吸い込んだ空気と吸込室31で合流して延長管13およびホース9を介して掃除機本体1の集塵室8内に装着した集塵袋に流入して捕捉する。

なお、吸込口本体14が家具や壁面から離間すると、再び閉塞保持手段の付勢により図1に示すように開閉板47が吸塵口37を閉塞し、吸込口30のみが開口して吸込口本体14の下面の大気圧に対する負圧状態が保持される状態となる。

上述したように、吸込口30とは別に吸込口本体14の前面に開口し下面に被掃除面である床面と対向する走行面38を有した滑動部39にて下縁が構成される吸塵口37を設け、この吸塵口37を開閉体45にて開閉するので、掃除する床面が毛足の長い絨毯などでも滑動部39により吸塵口37に絨毯の毛が入り込んで閉塞することを防止し、滑動部39を設ける簡単な構造で開口が確保された吸塵口37から効率よく吸塵でき、掃除効率を向上できる。
