Description
【0001】
本発明は、FBG(光ファイバブラッグ回折格子)を用いた光式圧力センサーに関するものである。
【0002】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an optical pressure sensor using an FBG (optical fiber Bragg diffraction grating).

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the conventional optical pressure sensor, the FBG portion of the optical fiber is directly fixed to the diaphragm with an adhesive, so that the adhesive affects the temperature characteristics of the sensor and high measurement accuracy is required. It was difficult to obtain sufficient measurement accuracy. Further, since the dynamic range of the sensor is limited by the material properties (elastic limit) of the diaphragm , it is difficult to increase the dynamic range.
[0006]
A first object of the present invention is to provide an optical pressure sensor with improved measurement accuracy.
A second object of the present invention is to provide an optical pressure sensor capable of increasing the dynamic range.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above first and second objects, the present invention provides an FBG (optical fiber Bragg diffraction grating) formed on a part of the length of an optical fiber on a diaphragm that converts a change in pressure into a change in strain. In the attached optical pressure sensor, two fixed blocks are fixed on the diaphragm with a space therebetween, and only two points on both sides of the FBG of the optical fiber are not slackened on the two fixed blocks. it is characterized in that there was a solid boss on.
[0009]
In the optical pressure sensor of the present invention, it is preferable that the optical fiber is fixed to the pressure-sensitive member in a state where tension is applied to the FBG.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

Next, a description will be given of the result of confirming the relationship between the spacing and height of the fixed blocks and the distortion of the FBG with respect to the optical pressure sensor of the type shown in FIG. The simulation model is as follows.
Diaphragm: Material SUS Young's modulus 20000kg / mm 2 Poisson's ratio 0.3
Dimensions Radius 60mm Thickness 0.55mm
Optical fiber: Young's modulus 7000kg / mm 2 Poisson's ratio 0.2
Pressure load: applied at 0.2kg / cm 2 step up to 1kg / cm 2 [0015]
3 shows the relationship between the pressure applied to the diaphragm and the strain of the optical fiber (FBG strain) when the interval between the fixed blocks is 15 mm, FIG. 4 is 20 mm, and FIG. 5 is 30 mm. In all cases, there are three types of fixed block heights: 1 mm, 3 mm, and 5 mm. FIG. 6 shows the relationship between the height of the fixed block and the strain of the optical fiber (when the pressure is 1 kg / cm 2 ). According to the above simulation results, it can be understood that the smaller the interval between the fixed blocks and the higher the height of the fixed blocks, the greater the optical fiber distortion.
[0016]
The interval between the fixed blocks is larger than the FBG section length and smaller than the diameter of the diaphragm, but is preferably 10 to 60 mm considering the above examination results. Further, the height of the fixed block is larger than the diameter of the optical fiber and is not more than a height at which the distortion amplification factor is about 10 times. However, considering the above examination results, it is preferably 0.125 to 7 mm. As the strain amplification factor increases, the dynamic range per pressure sensor increases, and the number of pressure sensors that can be connected in series decreases. In the case of conventional full-length bonding, 10 pressure sensors can be connected in series, so the strain amplification factor is limited to 10.

【Example】
Next, trial manufacture and test results of the optical pressure sensor of the present invention will be described. The prototype optical pressure sensor is of the type shown in FIG. The fixed blocks were cylindrical with an outer diameter of 5 mm and a height of 3 mm, and the interval between the fixed blocks was 15 mm. The fixed block was fixed to the center of a 120 mm diameter diaphragm with an adhesive, and the optical fiber was fixed to a groove provided on the top of the fixed block with an adhesive. Table 1 shows the results of comparison of measurement accuracy of the prototype two-point adhesion type optical pressure sensor and the conventional full length adhesion type optical pressure sensor. The measurement accuracy was a temperature range of 5 to 30 ° C. and a small measurement error (%) with respect to 1 kg / cm 2 of full scale. It can be seen that the two-point bonding method has smaller measurement error and better temperature characteristics.
[0021]
[Table 1]
[0022]
In this embodiment, a cylindrical block is used as the fixed block attached to the diaphragm, but a prismatic block can also be used. However, in order to suppress the stress concentration at the joint, it is preferable to use a columnar fixing block.
Further, since the glass of the FBG portion is exposed, in order to improve the strength of this portion, it is preferable to coat the FBG portion with a metal (gold, nickel, etc.) or a resin (polyimide, nylon, etc.).
[0023]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, two fixed blocks are fixed on the diaphragm at intervals, and only two points on both sides of the FBG of the optical fiber are not slackened on the two fixed blocks. the fixed it as, for FBG is not affected little by temperature expansion and contraction of the adhesive, it is possible to obtain a high optical pressure sensor measurement accuracy may take the dynamic range of the optical pressure sensor increases .
