【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a means for ensuring the safety of a refrigerator using a flammable refrigerant.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, HFC (Hydro Fluoro Carbon) refrigerants have been used in accordance with Freon regulations, but it seems that HFC refrigerants contribute to global warming in discussions such as the Global Warming Prevention Conference. In addition, a hydrocarbon-based flammable refrigerant friendly to the global environment has been studied. In particular, in direct-cooled refrigerators that do not have a defroster in the cabinet, products using hydrocarbon refrigerants have already been put into practical use overseas. However, if such a hydrocarbon-based combustible refrigerant leaks outside the refrigerator, the combustible refrigerant may be ignited by an ignition source such as a high-temperature heater, gas appliance, or stove in the room. It was.
[0003]
On the other hand, as for a refrigerator using a flammable refrigerant, there is one disclosed in JP-A-9-329386.

[0018]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve this object, a refrigerator according to the present invention has a refrigeration cycle using a flammable refrigerant having a density higher than that of air, and includes a compressor and a condenser of the refrigeration cycle provided in a machine room outside the box. In the refrigerator having the evaporator of the refrigeration cycle provided inside the box body, by providing protrusions on the side surface or the back surface of the box body, walls and furniture located around the refrigerator, and the refrigerator box body A space can be provided between the both sides, and the combustible refrigerant can diffuse from the machine room through the spaces on both sides, thereby improving the safety of the refrigerator.
[0019]
Further, the protrusion is provided at the lower part of the side or back of the box, and has a slit formed on the wall of the machine room and communicating with the outside of the machine room. It can be diffused quickly and can improve the safety of the refrigerator.
[0022]
Claim1The refrigeration cycle using a combustible refrigerant having a density higher than that of air, the compressor and condenser of the refrigeration cycle and the condenser fan provided in the machine room outside the box, and the machine room And a control means for driving the leakage refrigerant diffusion means to detect that the condenser fan has stopped, and the leakage refrigerant diffusion means is provided in the vicinity of the condenser. Even if the combustible refrigerant leaks and stays in the machine room with the condenser fan stopped, the leaking refrigerant diffusion means quickly diffuses the combustible refrigerant into the room. The concentration can be lowered.
In addition, leaked flammable refrigerant can be quickly diffused by thermal convection to achieve a concentration below the flammable limit..
[0024]
Claim2The invention described in claim1In addition, the invention described in the above item further includes leakage detection means for detecting that the refrigerant has leaked to the outside and outputting a signal to the detection control section, and the control means does not detect an operation signal from the detection control section. By not driving the leakage refrigerant diffusion means, the leakage refrigerant diffusion means can be operated only when the flammable refrigerant leaks, and the power consumption can be reduced, so the increase in power consumption as a refrigerator is minimized. In addition, the reliability of the refrigerator can be improved for a long time during a power failure.
[0027]
Claim3The invention described in claim2In addition, the leakage detection means is a concentration sensor, so that it detects that a refrigerant having a predetermined concentration has leaked, outputs a signal to the control means to the detection control section, and leaks the refrigerant from the charger. Electric power can be supplied to the diffusion means to drive the leakage refrigerant diffusion means.
