ところが従来知られている物質では、ネズミを致死させるのに必要な量の殺鼠成分を喫食させるには十分な誘引、喫食効果を発揮できず、そのためネズミを効果的に駆除できてはいない。

そこで本発明は、ネズミに対して優れた誘引、喫食効果を発揮することができる物質を見出し、ベイト剤に用いることができ、さらにはトラップにセットして用いることができるものを提供することを目的とするものである。

本発明者らは、上記課題を解決するために鋭意検討した結果、調味成分であるシーズニグオイルと、ネズミが好まないと言われている海藻類が驚くべきことに、ネズミに対する誘引、喫食効果を高めることを発見し本発明に至った。すなわち本発明は、以下の手段により達成されるものである。
(1)ネギシーズニングオイル及び/又はコンブエキスからなることを特徴とするネズミの誘引、喫食向上剤。
(2)ネズミ用ベイト剤に(1)記載のネズミの誘引、喫食向上剤を添加してなることを特徴とするネズミ用ベイト剤。
(3)(1)記載のネズミの誘引、喫食向上剤又は(2)記載のネズミ用ベイト剤をセットしたことを特徴とするネズミ用トラップ。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の誘引、喫食向上剤であるシーズニングオイルとは、香味油または調味油等の調味成分であって、油脂を用いて様々な天然素材を加熱して香りを油脂に移行させた油状物質である。天然素材としては、オニオン、ネギ、ガーリック、ニラ、モヤシ、メンマ等の香味野菜;ポーク、チキン、ビーフ等の畜肉;エビ、カニ、カツオ、カキ、イカ等の魚介;ガーリック、ジンジャー等のスパイス;醤油、ウースターオイル、食酢、砂糖、味噌等の調味料、等が挙げられる。

本発明の誘引、喫食向上剤は、ネズミ用ベイト剤に練り込み(配合)したり、ふりかけたりして添加して用いることができる。さらにネズミ用トラップにセット(塗布したり、含浸したりして)して使用してもよい。
ネズミ用ベイト剤に練り込んだ場合は、ベイト剤全量に対して通常0.1〜70重量%、さらには1〜50重量%配合すればよい。またベイト剤にふりかける場合は、表面に均一となるようにするのがよく、通常0.01〜50重量%、さらには0.1〜30重量%となるように用いればよい。

試験は各検体について3回行い、3回とも顆粒に対して優位に喫食量が多かったものをについて誘引、喫食効果があるものと判断した。
