Next, the conveyance of the sheet S that has entered the conveyance path R2 will be described with reference to FIGS.

The sheet S that has entered the transport path R2 by the transport path switching unit G1 is transported in the reverse Y direction, and is temporarily stopped and stored at a predetermined position (position P1 shown in the drawing).

At the position P1, the subsequent small number of sheets S are stacked and stored.

Although the number of stored sheets is three in the present embodiment, the number of stored sheets is not limited to this and can be set as appropriate.

The three sheets S accommodated at the position P1 are superposed and conveyed in the Z direction by conveying rollers 215, 216, guide plates (not shown), etc., and then deflected in the X direction to the position P2. Stop temporarily (conveyance path R5).

In the following description, a stack of a plurality of sheets is referred to as a sheet bundle SS unless otherwise specified.

The sheet bundle SS temporarily stopped at the position P2 is transported in the Y direction by transport rollers 217 and 218, a guide plate, and the like at a predetermined timing and then deflected in the reverse Z direction (transport path R6).

The sheet bundle SS deflected in the reverse Z direction is sent to the center folding means 230 by the conveyance alignment belt 220.

Here, the center folding means 230 will be described with reference to FIG.

In the present embodiment, the long side direction of the sheet bundle SS is configured to coincide with the conveyance direction of the conveyance alignment belt 220.

The sheet bundle SS conveyed in the reverse Z direction is pushed by an alignment claw 221 provided on the conveyance alignment belt 220 and conveyed on a guide plate 251 that constitutes a half-folded sheet conveyance means 250 described later. The front end stops at a position where it abuts against the alignment member 232.

Subsequently, the alignment claw 221 moves backward and forward by forward / reverse rotation of the conveyance alignment belt 220, and the rear end of the sheet bundle SS (three sheets) is pressed to align the width in the conveyance direction.

After completion of the aligning operation described above, the center folding knife 236 provided below the contact points of the center folding rollers 234 and 235 pushes up the central portion in the long side direction of the sheet bundle SS on the guide plate 251 and rotates in the arrow direction shown in the figure. The sheet bundle SS is digged into the folding rollers 234 and 235.

The cut sheet bundle SS is folded at the center in the long side direction by the center folding rollers 234 and 235, and then returned to the guide plate 251 by the reverse rotation of the center folding rollers 234 and 235. The paper is conveyed in the X direction by the paper conveying means 250.

When the paper size is changed, the position of the alignment plate 232, the operation of the conveyance alignment belt 220, and the like are changed according to the paper size by a control unit (not shown).

It is also possible to perform Z-folding (three-folding) on the sheet bundle SS using the roller 237, the folding knife 238, and the like.

2 and 5, the sheet bundle SS with a crease at the center portion in the long-side direction is printed by a conveying claw 252 provided on the conveying belt of the half-folded sheet conveying means 250 and a guide plate (not shown). Is transported in the direction and stacked on the stacking means 310 (transport path R7).

Next, the stacking means 310, the needle hitting means 350 and the needle receiving means 370 constituting the saddle stitching means will be described with reference to FIG.

The stacking unit 310 includes a fold support member 311 having an inverted V shape and a peripheral support member 312 having an inverted V shape. The fold support member 311 has a valley side surface of the folded sheet bundle SS. The vicinity of the crease a on the (lower surface) is supported, and the edge support member 312 supports the edge of the valley side surface of the sheet bundle SS with the crease.

Here, the valley side surface of the folded sheet bundle SS refers to a sheet surface that faces each other on the inner side when the sheet is folded along the crease, and the outer sheet surface is referred to as a mountain side surface.

Above the stacking means 310, a pressing means 330 movable in the vertical direction and a fixed needle hitting means 350 are arranged.

A needle receiving means 370 is arranged below the fold line a of the stacked sheet bundle SS so as to be movable in the vertical direction.

The needle-stitching means 350 and the needle-receiving means 370, which are paper binding means, are disposed at two locations in the central distribution as viewed in the paper crease direction.

With the above configuration, when the sheet bundle SS stacked on the stacking means 310 reaches a predetermined number, the holding means 330 is lowered and the needle receiving means 370 is raised while the sheet bundle SS is being pressed down, and the staple hitting means 350 causes the staple needles to rise. Are hit at two places in the fold portion of the sheet bundle SS.

Next, taking out of the sheet bundle SS subjected to the saddle stitching process will be described with reference to FIGS.

The take-out means 420 for taking out the sheet bundle SS is composed of support means, drive means (both not shown) and the like.

The support unit 421 includes support members 422 and 423 disposed at both ends of the sheet bundle SS stacked on the stacking unit 310, and the support members 422 and 423 support the folds of the sheet bundle SS. In order to achieve this, it is formed of a rod-shaped member having bent portions 422A and 423A whose one ends are bent at a right angle.

The other ends of the support members 422 and 423 are rotatably supported around the support shaft 424.

The support members 422 and 423 are configured to be detachable with respect to the fold portion of the sheet bundle SS in order to support the stacked sheet bundle SS by the driving means when viewed in the left-right direction in FIG.

Further, as shown in FIG. 4, the support members 422 and 423 have a take-out position for taking out the sheet bundle SS stacked on the stacking means 310 and a delivery position for receiving the sheet bundle SS on the conveyor 500 by the driving means. Oscillate around the support shaft 424.

With such a configuration, when the sheet bundle SS stacked on the stacking unit 310 reaches a predetermined number and the saddle stitching unit completes the saddle stitching process, the support members 422 and 423 are inserted in the vicinity of the folds of the stacked sheets. After supporting the fold portion of the bundle SS, the bundle SS is rotated from the take-out position to the delivery position, placed on the receiving conveyor 500, and the placed sheet bundle SS is sandwiched by the grip 501.

The sheet bundle SS sandwiched between the grips 501 is conveyed obliquely downward in conjunction with the rotation of the receiving conveyor 500, released from the grips 501, and then delivered to the cutting conveyor 600.

After the sheet bundle SS is delivered, the cutting conveyor 600 is in a horizontal state, and then the sheet bundle SS is conveyed to the cutting unit 700 side with a fold portion pressed by a fold pressing member described later and is moved to a predetermined position. The fore edge (the free end on the opposite side of the crease) that has stopped and is not aligned is cut by the cutting device 700 according to the present invention to align the fore edges.

When the cutting process is completed, the sheet bundle SS is conveyed in the reverse direction by the cutting conveyor 600, dropped from the front end of the cutting conveyor 600 in the direction indicated by the arrow, and collected by the collection conveyor 900, and disposed outside the front surface of the post-processing apparatus B. The paper is discharged to a paper discharge tray 950.

Next, introduction of a sheet bundle into the cutting apparatus 700 according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.

First, referring to FIG. 6, a mechanism for passing the folded and saddle-stitched sheet bundle SS from the receiving conveyor 500 to the cutting conveyor 600 and stopping the paper bundle SS at a predetermined position in order to perform small-edge cutting by the cutting apparatus 700 after the transfer. Will be described.

FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram of a cutting mechanism 600 and a conveyance mechanism for the sheet bundle SS.

As shown in FIG. 6A, the grip 501 is opened near the downstream end of the receiving conveyor 500 in the sheet conveyance direction, and the nipped sheet bundle SS is released.

The released sheet bundle SS is close to the belt on the upper side of the conveying belt 601 of the cutting conveyor 600 that is inclined and stopped, and slides on the inclined surface on the paper placing table 602 provided in parallel, and is fixed to the conveying belt 601. The stopper pawl 603 comes into contact with and stops.

After the stop of the sheet bundle SS, the alignment member 604 rises from the position indicated by the solid line to the position indicated by the dotted line.

After the alignment member 604 stands up, the conveyance belt 601 moves in the direction indicated by the arrow F in the figure, and the fold portion of the sheet bundle SS is brought into contact with the alignment member 604 by the stopper claw 603 and stopped.

As described above, the sheet bundle SS is brought into contact with the aligning member 604 to correct the bending in the sheet conveyance direction.

After stopping the stopper claw 603, the crease pressing member 605 descends in the direction indicated by the arrow G in the figure, and the sheet bundle SS is placed between the receiving plate 606 provided so as to have substantially the same plane as the sheet placing table 602. Pinch.

When the clamping of the sheet bundle SS is completed, the cutting conveyor 600 is rotated and the stopper claw 603 is retracted to a position indicated by a dotted line in the drawing.

When the stopper claw 603 is retracted, the alignment member 604, the crease pressing member 605, and the receiving plate 606 are integrated with the cutting conveyor 600 while holding the sheet bundle SS, with the center of the pulley 607 of the cutting conveyor 600 as a fulcrum. It swings to the horizontal position shown in FIG.

When the cutting conveyor 600 swings, the sheet bundle SS moves in the direction of arrow H in the figure while sliding on the sheet placing table 602 while being sandwiched between the crease holding member 605 and the receiving plate 606, and the size of each sheet. Stops at a predetermined position determined by.

The sheet bundle SS stopped at a predetermined position is cut by the sheet cutting device 700.

Next, the sheet cutting apparatus will be described with reference to FIGS. 7 is a front view of the sheet cutting apparatus, FIG. 8 is a perspective view of the sheet pressing member as viewed from above, and FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view of the sheet cutting unit.

A shaft 708 supported by a frame 700 </ b> A of the paper cutting device is provided on the upper portion of the paper cutting device 700. The shaft 708 is provided with male screw portions 708A and 708B in opposite directions, and a female screw unit 706 is screwed into the male screw portion 708A, and a female screw unit 707 is screwed into the male screw portion 708B.

The connecting rods 704 and 705 connect the sheet pressing member 701 that can move up and down and the female screw units 706 and 707. That is, the upper end of the connecting rod 704 is supported by the female screw unit 706 and the lower end is rotatably supported by the left end portion of the sheet pressing member 701. Similarly, the upper end of the connecting rod 705 is rotatably supported by the female screw unit 707, and the lower end is rotatably supported by the right end portion of the sheet pressing member 701. The shaft 708 is connected to the motor 709 via the gear G1, and the rotation of the motor 709 moves the female screw units 706 and 707 to the left and right, the inclination of the connecting rods 704 and 705 changes, and the sheet pressing member 701 moves up and down. Translate to.

As described above, the motor 709, the shaft 708, the female screw units 706 and 707, and the connecting rods 704 and 705 constitute a pressing member driving mechanism that moves the sheet pressing member 701 up and down in parallel.

The sheet bundle SS is held between the fixed support base 702 and the blade receiving member 701A. Since the sheet pressing member 701 is driven by a driving mechanism having a large reduction ratio including the male screw portions 708A and 708B, the sheet pressing member 701 is pressed and held with a high pressure.

Rollers 715 and 716 are fixed to a cutting blade 703 having a cutting edge formed at the upper edge, and the rollers 715 and 716 are respectively guided by guide members 717 and 718 inclined downward to the right. Although guide members 717 and 718 are not shown, they are fixed to the frame 700A.

The blade driving member 725 is driven by the male screw portions 726 and 727 and translates left and right. The male screw portions 726 and 727 are driven by a motor 728 through gears G2 to G5. On the other hand, the blade driving member 725 is provided with a vertical long hole 725A, and two pins 719 fixed to the base 703A of the cutting blade 703 are fitted into the long hole 725A.

The motor 728, the gears G2 to G5, the male screw portions 726 and 727, and the blade driving member 725 constitute a blade driving mechanism of the cutting blade 703, and the cutting blade 703 moves left and right by the rotation of the motor 728. The cutting blade 703 moves in the oblique direction in which the horizontal component and the vertical component are combined, that is, the movement indicated by the arrow J, by the guides of the guide members 717 and 718. Thus, the cutting blade 703 moves obliquely as indicated by the arrow J by driving the motor 728.

As shown in FIG. 8, the lower end portion of the paper pressing member 701 is constituted by a blade receiving member 701A, and the blade receiving member 701A is held by a rail (described later) provided on the end portion of the paper pressing member 701. As shown by an arrow K, the cutting blade 703 can be slid in the longitudinal direction, that is, in the direction perpendicular to the blade surface of the cutting blade 703.

Racks 722 and 723 are formed on the upper surfaces of both end portions of the blade receiving member 701A, and these are exposed upward through openings 701D and 701E provided in the sheet pressing member 701.

Pinions G7 and G8 are engaged with the racks 722 and 723, respectively, and the pinions G7 and G8 are engaged with gears G5 and G6 fixed to both ends of the shaft 730, respectively. The shaft 730 is connected to the solenoid SL via a one-way clutch G9 and a gear G4. That is, the rack 732 fixed to the plunger 731 of the solenoid SL meshes with the gear G4, and the shaft 730 is driven by the rotation of the gear G4 in one direction.

By the action of the one-way clutch G9, only the upward movement of the plunge 731 due to the solenoid SL being turned on is transmitted to the gear G4, and the movement of the solenoid SL being turned off and the plunger 731 descending is not transmitted to the gear G4.

The solenoid SL, the plunger 731, the one-way clutch G9, the gears G4 to G8, the racks 722 and 723 constitute a receiving member driving mechanism for the blade receiving member 701A, and the operation of the solenoid SL causes the blade receiving member 701A to move in the direction of the arrow K. Advance.

Next, the operation of the cutting apparatus 700 will be described.

In the standby state, the female screw unit 706 is located at the left end, the female screw unit 707 is located at the right end, and the sheet pressing member 701 is at the upper limit position.

When the sheet bundle SS is introduced into the cutting device 700, the motor 709 is activated to drive the female screw units 706 and 707, and the sheet pressing member 701 is lowered. When the sheet pressing member descends to a position where the sheet bundle SS is pressed, the driving resistance increases rapidly and an overcurrent flows through the motor 709. The motor 709 is stopped by a signal that detects this motor overcurrent.

The sheet pressing member 701 presses the sheet bundle SS with a large pressure so that no deviation occurs even when a lateral force is applied to the stacked sheets by a cutting blade 703 at the time of cutting described later.

When the pressing of the sheet bundle SS is completed, the motor 728 is activated to move the cutting blade 703 to the upper left of the arrow J. By this movement of the cutting blade 703, the sheet bundle SS is cut. Since the cutting action of the cutting blade 703 is cutting by sliding the blade, cutting with a relatively small driving force is possible, and even if the number of sheets to be cut increases, only the stroke of the cutting blade changes. Power does not change.

When all the stacked sheets are cut, the cutting edge of the cutting blade 703 comes into contact with the blade receiving member 701A, and the driving resistance of the cutting blade 703 increases. The drive of the motor 709 is stopped by a signal that detects the motor overcurrent due to the increase of the drive resistance, that is, the load of the motor 709. In this way, all the sheets constituting the sheet bundle SS are cut.

When the fore edge cutting process is completed, the lower blade driving motor 728 rotates in the reverse direction, and the lower blade 703 descends to a predetermined position obliquely downward to the right in FIG.

When the lowering of the lower blade 703 is completed, the sheet pressing member 701 is raised to the initial position.

After completion of the lifting of the sheet pressing member 701, when the crease pressing member 605 and the receiving plate 606 holding the vicinity of the fold portion of the sheet bundle SS return to the position shown in FIG. 6B, the fold pressing member 605 is lifted and aligned. The member 604 is retracted below the sheet conveyance surface, and the nipping of the sheet bundle SS is released.

Subsequently, the cutting conveyor 600 is rotated, and the sheet bundle SS cut by the claw by the stopper claw 603 falls in the direction indicated by the arrow from the leading end of the cutting conveyor 600 and rotates as shown in FIG. And is discharged to a discharge tray 950 disposed outside the front surface of the post-processing apparatus B.

By the series of operations described above, the fore cutting process for one sheet bundle SS is completed.

Although the blade receiving member 701A is made of resin such as polypropylene, the blade receiving member 701A is slightly cut by the cutting blade 703 by repeating the cutting operation. As a result, as shown in FIG. A groove T is formed. When the depth of the cut groove T is increased, cutting defects such as uncut paper and an end surface of the cut edge may not be flat may occur.

As described above, the blade receiving member 701A is displaced in the direction K intersecting the longitudinal direction of the cutting blade 703, and the unused portion of the blade receiving member 701A is set to a position for receiving the cutting edge of the cutting blade 703. . That is, by operating the solenoid SL, the receiving member driving mechanism described above is operated, and the blade receiving member 701A is advanced by a predetermined length in the K direction.

As a result, a plurality of cut grooves T are formed as shown in FIG. 9, but the depth can be limited to an allowable limit, and cutting defects due to the cut grooves do not occur.

The control means CR in FIG. 8 counts the number of cutting operations, and when the count value reaches a predetermined value, for example, 700 times, the solenoid SL is operated to displace the blade receiving member 701A.

FIG. 10 shows both end portions of the sheet pressing member 701.

Z-type support plates 701B and 701C are fixed to both ends of the sheet pressing member 701 with screws. Holding members 800 and 801 for holding both ends of the blade receiving member 701A are provided below the support plates 701B and 701C.

The holding member 800 includes a holding block 800A and a rail forming member 800B, and both are fixed to each other by a screw 800C. The rail forming member 800B supports the blade receiving member 701A and forms a rail that guides the movement of the blade receiving member 701A in a direction perpendicular to the paper surface in FIG.

A hole is formed in the holding block 800A, and a pin 802 is inserted into the hole. The pin 802 is inserted into a hole formed in the support plate 701B at the upper part and formed into a large diameter part 802B so that the lower part is shown in a trapezoidal cross section, and engages with the trapezoidal shape part of the hole of the holding block 800A. Accordingly, the pin 802 is guided by the hole and can move up and down with respect to the support plate 701B and the holding block 800A, but is configured not to be pulled upward. A stopper 802A is formed on the pin 802, and a compression type coil spring 804 is interposed between the stopper 802A and the sheet pressing member 701. The holding member 800 is pushed upward by the urging force of the coil spring 804A, and the state shown in FIG. 10A, that is, the blade receiving member 701A is brought into close contact with the sheet pressing member 701, and both are coupled.

A hole is formed in the holding block 801A, and a pin 803 is fitted into the hole. The upper portion of the pin 803 is inserted into a hole formed in the support plate 701C, and the lower portion is formed in the large diameter portion 803B as shown by a trapezoidal cross section, and engages with the trapezoidal shape portion of the hole of the holding block 801A. Accordingly, the pin 803 is guided by the hole and can move up and down with respect to the support plate 701C and the holding block 801A, but is configured not to come out upward. A stopper 803A is formed on the pin 803, and a compression type coil spring 805 is interposed between the stopper 803A and the sheet pressing member 701. The holding member 801 is pushed upward by the urging force of the coil spring 805A, and the state shown in FIG. 10A, that is, the blade receiving member 701A is brought into close contact with the sheet pressing member 701, and both are coupled.

As described above, the blade receiving member 701A and the sheet pressing member 701 are tightly coupled to each other by the urging force of the springs 804 and 805 and integrated.

FIG. 11 is a bottom view of the blade receiving member 701A.

As shown in FIG. 11, the rail forming members 800B and 801B are fixed to the holding blocks 800A and 801A by three screws 800C and 801C, respectively.

Long holes 800D and 801D are formed in the holding blocks 800A and 801A. Two pins 802 are inserted into the long holes 800D, and two pins 803 are inserted into the long holes 801D.

A cutting process for cutting the sheet bundle in the state of FIG. When a predetermined number of times (for example, 700 times) of the cutting process is executed, the sheet pressing member 701 is raised by the pressing member driving mechanism using the motor 709 described above as a driving source. FIG. 10B shows a state where the sheet pressing member 701 has been raised to the upper limit position.

In the state of FIG. 10B, the upper end of the pin 802 hits the protrusion 806 as the release means provided on the frame of the cutting apparatus, and the upper end of the pin 803 hits the protrusion 807 as the release means.

As a result, the pins 802 and 803 descend relative to the paper pressing member 701 against the urging force of the springs 804 and 805. As a result, the blade receiving member 701A is separated from the sheet pressing member 701. Accordingly, the blade receiving member 701A can move with respect to the sheet pressing member 701, and at this stage, the blade receiving member driving mechanism for moving the blade receiving member 701A described above is operated, so that the blade receiving member 701A is moved as shown in FIG. By moving in a direction perpendicular to the paper surface, the unused portion of the blade receiving member 701A is set to a position for receiving the blade. In updating the blade receiving member, the blade receiving member 701A moves in the direction K in FIGS. 8, 9, and 11 by the guide of the pin 802 and the long hole 800D and the guide of the pin 803 and the long hole 801D.

As described with reference to FIGS. 10 and 11, the pins 802 and 803 and the springs 804 and 805 constitute a coupling means for releasably coupling the blade receiving member 701A to the paper pressing member 701, and the coupling means serves to form the paper. In the cutting process, the blade receiving member 701A is coupled to the paper pressing member 701 so as to be integrated, and when the paper pressing member 701 is retracted, the coupling is released and the blade receiving member 701A is not used. The part is set to the blade receiving position.

Further, the blade receiving member 701A can be replaced with a new one in a state where the coupling is released.

The sheet bundle SS to be subjected to the edge cutting process is conveyed from the back side to the front side in FIG. 7 and is introduced into the cutting apparatus 700. A guide surface for guiding the introduction of the sheet bundle SS is formed on the blade receiving member 701A. Is done. That is, as shown in FIG. 9, a guide surface 701AS having a slope is formed at the end of the blade receiving member 701A on the paper entry side.

The support table 702 that supports the sheet bundle SS at the cutting position is fixed to the frame body 700A, but a guide surface 702S having a slope is formed at the end of the support table 702 on the sheet entry side, and the sheet of the frame body 700A is formed. A guide surface 700AS made of an inclined surface is also formed at the end on the entry side.

By these guide surfaces 701AS, 700AS, and 702S, the paper SS advances as shown by an arrow D in FIG. 9, and is smoothly introduced into the cutting device 700, bent, formed with irregular cutting surfaces, caught on paper, and cut. Leaving etc. is prevented well.

As described above, the blade receiving member 701A is displaced with the progress of the cutting operation. However, when the guide member for guiding the paper to the cutting position is provided on the fixed member, the blade receiving member 701A is fixed along with the displacement of the blade receiving member 701A. The gap between the guide member and the blade receiving member 701A changes and the paper guide becomes unstable. However, since the paper guide surface is formed on the blade receiving member 701A, at each position of the blade receiving member 701A. The paper guidance is performed smoothly.

FIG. 12 shows another example of the sheet cutting unit.

In this example, the elastic guide pieces 701AF and 700AF are fixed to the slope 701AS formed on the blade receiving member and the slope 700AS of the frame 700A.

弾性案内片701AF、700AFはPET(ポリエチレンテレフタレート)フィルムからなる。   The elastic guide pieces 701AF and 700AF are made of a PET (polyethylene terephthalate) film.

By providing the elastic guide pieces 701AF and 700AF in the paper introduction unit, the paper bundle SS is more stably introduced into the paper cutting unit.
