本発明は、ビルディングや集合住宅、或いは一般家屋などに設置される郵便受け箱に関する。

【従来の技術】
一般に、横長直方形状の郵便受け箱においては、前面上部に郵便などの配達物が投入される投入口が開口され、この投入口の下方、若しくは郵便受け箱の後面に配達物を取り出すための取り出し口を設けているのが通常である。

そして取り出し口は、ダイヤル錠などの施錠装置を備えた蓋体によって閉止したり、或いは取り出し口を設けた後面を屋内方向に配するなどにより、取り出し口からの配達物の盗難を防止するように処置されていたのである。

しかしながら、投入口は近来の配達物の多様化、肉厚化、大型化に伴って広口化されているにも拘らず、何ら格別の盗難防止処置を講じることがなかったために、現状では広口化された投入口から手を差し入れることによって、簡単に配達物を盗み出すことができる状態となっているのである。

そこで、従来では投入口の内側に上方から盗難防止板を垂下したり、或いは投入口の下縁内側に盗難防止板を張設するなどによって、投入口から手が差し入れられなくしたり、また、手が差し入れられても配達物には手が届かないような処置を講じていたものが見受けられたが、このような盗難防止処置を講じたことにより、投入口内側の盗難防止板に厚手、若しくは大型の配達物が引っ掛かって郵便受け箱に完全に収納できないという不都合の生じるおそれを有するものであった（図４の状態）。

このように大型の配達物が盗難防止板に引っ掛かって郵便受け箱に完全に収納できない場合、大型の配達物自体が盗まれるおそれがあるばかりでなく、盗難防止板に引っ掛かった大型の配達物によって他の配達物の投入ができない事態が生じ、また、大型の配達物の投入後に葉書や封書のような薄手の配達物が投入された場合には、後から投入された配達物が大型の配達物の上面に重なること（図５の状態）があり、大型の配達物と共に投入口から簡単に盗み出されてしまうことがあった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
解決しようとする問題点は、従来の郵便受け箱においては投入口の内側に盗難防止板を設けたことによって、厚手、若しくは大型の配達物の引っ掛かりを生じ、かえって大型の配達物の盗難は勿論のこと、葉書や封書のような薄手の盗難をも助長するおそれを多分に有することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の基本とするところは、本体の前面上部に投入口を開口し、この投入口の下方に、投入口とは独立して葉書や封書のような薄手の配達物が投入されるスリットを開口したことにある。

また、スリットとしては直線的なものに限らず、曲線的なものやこれらの組み合わせであってもよい。

【作用】
而して、本発明の郵便受け箱は、従来の郵便受け箱と同様に設置されるものであって、通常の郵便などの配達物、或いは大型の配達物は投入口から投入されるが、大型の配達物によって投入口が閉塞されるような事態が生じた場合には、葉書や封書のような薄手の配達物は投入口の下方に独立して設けられたスリットから投入されるのである（図６の状態）。

この際スリットは、横方向に直線的に配されているもの（図１、３）より、斜状や曲線的（図２、７）に配されているものの方が、薄手の配達物の大型のものが投入できるのであり、直線や曲線などの組み合わせによってはデザイン化されたものを得ることができる。

【実施例】
以下図面に基づいて本発明の実施例を説明すると、１は横長直方体を呈する本体で、前面上方に揺動自在の蓋体２を設けた投入口３を開口し、投入口３の下縁内側には盗難防止板４を張設している。５は本体１の後面に設けた取り出し口で、ダイヤル錠などの施錠装置６を備えた蓋体７によって開閉自在となっている。

【発明の効果】
本発明は上記のように投入口の下方に投入口とは独立してスリットを開口したことから、投入口から投入された大型の配達物が例えば投入口の下縁内側に張設した盗難防止板に引っ掛かり、他の配達物の投入ができない事態が生じた場合にも、葉書や封書のような薄手の配達物は、なんらの支障なくスリットからの投入ができるのであって、これらのスリットから投入された薄手の配達物は、盗難防止板や盗難防止板に引っ掛かった大型の配達物に保護され盗難に遭うおそれはないのである。
