前記把手装置は以下のように操作される。揺動把手の上部を後方に押して、揺動把手の下部を前方に突出させ、その下部に手を掛けて揺動把手を前方に引く。この操作により、当該把手装置が取り付けられた部材(例えば、引き出し・扉等の部材)を前方に移動させることが出来る。

【従来技術の欠点】
前記従来の把手装置には以下の如き欠点があった。
揺動把手の前面は、全体として起伏のない平面(又は周縁部が面取りされ中央部が起伏のない平面)であったため、当該把手装置に初めて接する者は、当該把手装置をどのように操作すればよいかを直ちに判断出来ないという欠点があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は前記欠点を解決するために以下の如き手段を採用した。
請求項1の発明は、前方に開放した凹所を有するケーシングと、このケーシングの上部に軸心の延びる方向を左右方向と一致させた枢軸により前後揺動自在に設けられた揺動把手とを有し、前記揺動把手は、上端より下方の上部において枢軸によりケーシングに揺動自在に設けられ、垂下状となった状態で凹所の開口を塞ぐようになされている把手装置において、前記揺動把手の前の上部に、揺動把手が垂下状となった状態でケーシングよりはみ出すように前方に膨出した膨出部が設けられ、前記前面の他部は平面状をなし、前記揺動把手の内側部分は、前記枢軸を内嵌する軸内嵌部と、該軸内嵌部に連設され、前記前面側に湾曲した第1凹湾曲部と、該第1凹湾曲部の突出した端部に連なる係止突起部と、該係止突起部に連設され、該第1凹湾曲部より曲率が大きい第2凹湾曲部とからなり、前記第1凹湾曲部の弦の長さが第2凹湾曲部の弦の長さより長くなるように構成してあるものである。

【発明の効果】
本発明は前記した如き構成によって以下の如き効果を奏する。
請求項1の発明によれば、揺動把手の、上部前面に、揺動把手が垂下状となった状態においてケーシングよりはみ出すように前方に膨出した膨出部が設けられているので、その膨出部が目に付きやすく且つ膨出部を触れば揺動把手が揺動するので、膨出部を押せば揺動把手を揺動させて揺動把手を把手として使用する状態に出来ることを、把手装置に初めて接する誰でもが確実に知ることが出来る。また、膨出部がケーシングよりはみ出すようになされているので、膨出部がない場合に比較して、揺動把手の上部(膨出部)の、ケーシング内への押し込み量を少なくして揺動把手を従来装置と同様の揺動量だけ揺動させることが出来る。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に本発明の実施の形態を説明する。
なお、この説明において、前とは図1紙面表側を、後とは同裏側をいい、左とは図1左側を、右とは同図右側をいう。

引き出し1の前板2に前方に開放した窪み4が形成され、この窪み4に把手装置6が後で詳述するようにして取り付けられている。

前記把手装置6は、窪み4に嵌められた、前方に開放した凹所8を有するケーシング7と、このケーシング7の上部に軸心を左右方向に向けた枢軸9により前後揺動自在に設けられた揺動把手10とを有している。
