Description

Claims (26)

前記コポリマー及び前記ポリマーが、フラグメント上のオルガノシラン物質と結合し、
前記フラグメントが流出水と接触するところの、
フィルター媒体。 - 前記オルガノシラン物質が、前記フラグメント(130)にグラフトされている、請求項1に記載のフィルター媒体。
- 前記ポリマー(390)が、オレフィン系ポリマーマトリックス(390)である、請求項1に記載のフィルター媒体。
- 前記オルガノシラン物質が前記コポリマー(380)の少なくとも幾分か及び前記ポリマー(390)マトリックスの少なくとも幾分かにグラフトされている、請求項3に記載のフィルター媒体。
- 前記ポリマー(390)が、エチレンプロピレンモノマー(Ethylene Propylene Monomer)(EPM)又はエチレンプロピレンジエンモノマー(Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)(EPDM)であり、そして前記コポリマー(380)がスチレン−ブタジエン−スチレン又は水素添加されたスチレン系のブロックコポリマーである、請求項3又は4に記載のフィルター媒体。
- 前記オルガノシラン化合物が、水中での自己縮合の起こし易さを減少させるために安定化されたオルガノシラン化合物である、請求項1ないし5の何れか一項に記載のフィルター媒体。
- 汚染物質を含む一本の流出水の化学的及び生物学的純度を向上させる方法であって、流
出水水流の流れを、細長い構造物(500)の第一開口部(530)内へ導き、請求項1ないし6の何れか一項に記載のフィルター媒体の、多数の、不定形の、センチメートルスケールの、汚染物質吸着性の、疎水性のポリマーフラグメント(130)であって、前記細長い構造物内に含まれている該フラグメントの間隙を通り、そして該細長い構造物の第二開口部(520)を通って該構造物の外へ導くことを含む方法。 - 前記細長い構造物がパイプである、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記細長い構造物がろ過カートリッジである、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 水流の流れを導くに先立ち、該水流が炭化水素を含み、そして前記フラグメントが炭化水素の吸着体である、請求項7ないし9の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- (a)容器の一端部に、一本の流出水が入るための第一開口部(530)及び容器の他端部に、該流出水が出るための第二開口部(520)を有する、細長い容器(500)、
(b)前記容器内で且つ前記第一開口部と前記第二開口部との間に配置されている、請求項1ないし6の何れか一項に記載のフィルター媒体(510)を形成する、多数の、不定形の、センチメートルスケールの、汚染物質吸着性の、疎水性のポリマーフラグメント(130)を含み、
(c)前記フラグメントが、前記容器を通過する流出水と接触するところの、フィルター(500)。 - 一つの開口部に隣接する前記フラグメントを支持し、そして該開口部を経由して該フラグメントと接触して通る流出水と接触しているフィルターモジュール(500)を含む、請求項11に記載のフィルター。
- 前記容器がパイプである、請求項11又は12に記載のフィルター。
- 前記容器がろ過カートリッジ(540)である、請求項11ないし13の何れか一項に記載のフィルター。
- (a)前記ポリマーフラグメントが、ポリマーマトリックス中のコポリマー粒子からなり、
(b)前記ポリマーが、エチレンプロピレンモノマー(Ethylene Propylene Monomer)(EPM)又はエチレンプロピレンジエンモノマー(Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)(EPDM)であり、そして前記コポリマーがスチレン−ブタジエン−スチレン又は水素添加されたスチレン系のブロックコポリマーであり、
(c)前記エチレンプロピレンモノマー(Ethylene Propylene Monomer)(EPM)マトリックス又は前記エチレンプロピレンジエンモノマー(Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)(EPDM)マトリックスが、前記フラグメントの10〜30重量%を構成し、そして
(d)前記スチレン−ブタジエン−スチレン又は水素添加されたスチレン系のブロックコポリマーが、スチレン25〜45%を含み、そして4〜20メッシュの範囲内にある、請求項11ないし14の何れか一項に記載のフィルター。 - 前記フラグメントの表面にオルガノシラン物質がグラフトされている、請求項11ないし15の何れか一項に記載のフィルター。
- (a)一本の流出水が入るための、開口凹部である第一開口部及び該流出水が出るための
第二開口部(340)を有する容器(310)、
(b)請求項1ないし6の何れか一項に記載のフィルター媒体(510)を形成する、多数の、不定形の、センチメートルスケールの、汚染物質吸着性の、疎水性のポリマーフラグメント(130)であって、前記容器内で、前記第一開口部と前記第二開口部との間で且つ、断面に関して見た場合に、前記開口凹部の少なくとも三つの側部に配置されているフラグメント(130)を含み、
(c)前記フラグメントが、前記容器を通過する流出水と接触するところの、フィルター(300)。 - 前記容器の第二開口部が、貫通孔を有する底プレート(340)を含む、請求項17に記載のフィルター。
- 前記容器が、固体壁のホッパー(310)の内側にバスケット(320)を含み、該バスケットの内側が前記第一開口部を形成し、前記容器の前記第二開口部が、該ホッパーに固定された、貫通孔を有する底板(340)を含み、そして前記フラグメント(130)が、(a)該バスケットの底部と前記貫通孔を有するプレートとの間及び(b)該バスケットの少なくとも二つの壁と該ホッパーの隣接する壁との間に配置されている、請求項17又は18に記載のフィルター。
- 請求項7ないし10の何れか一項に記載の方法において使用するための、汚染物質吸着性及び抗菌性を有するフィルター媒体を製造する方法(400)であって、
(a)汚染物質吸着性で、疎水性のポリマー(420)からなる多数の不定形顆粒又は粒子に、オルガノシラン化合物を含む溶液(430)を供給し(450)、個々の顆粒又は粒子の全ての表面を該溶液に暴露すること
を含み、
(b)前記オルガノシラン化合物がグラフトされたポリマーフラグメントを形成するように、一方の該オルガノシラン化合物と、他方の前記ポリマー顆粒又は粒子とが互いに反応性であり、そして
(c)前記フラグメントが、水に対して及び前記溶液に対して忌避性である
ところの方法。 - 前記粒子に供給することが、炭化水素吸着性の多数のポリマー粒子に供給することを含む、請求項20に記載の方法。
- (a)前記溶液から前記ポリマー粒子又は顆粒を乾燥させること(460)、及び
(b)前記ポリマー粒子又は顆粒を押し出して、フィルター媒体のフラグメントを形成することを含む、請求項21に記載の方法。 - 前記溶液を供給することが、水に溶解した、一定量の、水中での自己縮合の起こし易さを減少させたオルガノシラン化合物を供給することを含む、請求項20ないし22の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記溶液を製造するために、水中に前記オルガノシラン化合物を溶解することを含む、請求項23に記載の方法。
- 前記粒子に前記溶液を供給することが、前記粒子を前記溶液の静止容積中に所定の時間浸漬することを含む、請求項20ないし24の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- (a)前記粒子に供給することが、
(1)スチレン−ブタジエン−スチレン又は水素添加されたスチレン系のブロックコポリマーの粒子と、
(2)エチレンプロピレンモノマー(Ethylene Propylene Monomer)(EPM)又はエチレンプロピレンジエンモノマー(Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)(EPDM)の粒子、
との混合物からなる粒子に供給することを含み、
(b)前記エチレンプロピレンモノマー(Ethylene Propylene Monomer)(EPM)又は前記エチレンプロピレンジエンモノマー(Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)(EPDM)の粒子が、前記混合物の10〜30重量%をなし、そして
(c)前記スチレン−ブタジエン−スチレン又は水素添加されたスチレン系のブロックコポリマーの粒子が、スチレン25〜45%を含み、そして4〜24メッシュの範囲内にある、請求項20ないし25の何れか一項に記載の方法。
