7cm/sec

The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a ballpoint ball for ballpoint pen that can reduce wear of the nib body and maintain good writing for a long period of time, and a method for producing the same.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the ballpoint ball of the present invention is a ballpoint ball formed by grinding a sintered body in which hard intermetallic compound particles are sintered via a binding metal into a spherical shape,
By removing the bonded metal part between the intermetallic compound particles exposed on the surface in advance, small pieces of the intermetallic compound exposed on the surface of the removal part during the polishing function fall off during use and act as an abrasive is lest advance it removed Rutotomoni, the removal of the surface is to subject matter that is formed in the recess for holding the ink during use.
In order to achieve the above object, the ball pen ball manufacturing method of the present invention is a ball pen ball manufacturing method comprising a sintered body in which hard intermetallic compound particles are sintered via a binding metal,
After polishing the sintered body into a spherical shape, by removing in advance the bonding metal part between the intermetallic compound particles exposed on the surface, a small piece of the intermetallic compound exposed on the surface of the removal part during the polishing. with falling off to remove it in advance so as not to act as an abrasive during use, and be required to form a recess for holding the ink during use in the removal of the surface.
[0010]
That is, the present invention is obtained by polishing a sintered body obtained by sintering hard intermetallic compound particles through a binding metal into a spherical shape. Then, the bonded metal portion between the intermetallic compound particles exposed on the surface is removed in advance, so that during the polishing, a small piece of the intermetallic compound exposed on the surface of the removed portion falls off during use, and the abrasive. previously it has been removed so as not to act as, and is formed in a recess for the removal of the surface to hold the ink during use. For this reason, small pieces of hard intermetallic compounds existing in the gaps between the hard intermetallic compound particles on the surface are removed in advance, and they do not fall off during use and act as an abrasive. For this reason, wear of the nib body is prevented, and sinking of the ball into the nib body is prevented. Therefore, as in the prior art, it is possible to prevent an increase in frictional resistance due to the ink groove being blocked and the ink being less likely to flow out, and the contact area between the ball and the nib body being increased. In addition, an increase in the writable angle can be suppressed. Thus, unlike the conventional balls, writing quality is hardly deteriorated at an early stage, and good writing quality is maintained over a long period of time. In addition, since the ball rotates while the ink is held in the recess formed on the surface of the ball, the outflow of the ink is promoted and the writing quality is improved.
[0011]
In the ball-point pen ball of the present invention, when the intermetallic compound particles exposed on the surface are removed so that the edge portion around the concave portion does not wear the pen nib body, The exposed edge does not wear the nib body, and good writing quality is maintained for a longer period of time.
[0012]
When the ball-point pen ball of the present invention is used for a ball-point pen for high-viscosity ink, the action of maintaining the writing quality by preventing the wear of the nib body is more remarkable and effective. . That is, high viscosity ink can sufficiently disperse a pigment having a large specific gravity and a large particle size, and therefore, an ink in which a hard substance such as aluminum powder or titanium white is dispersed has been used. When such a hard pigment-dispersed ink is used, in the conventional ball, the bonded metal portion is heavily worn, and the nib body is heavily worn by the polishing action caused by the drop of the intermetallic compound particle pieces. In the ball of the present invention, since the bonded metal portion on the surface and the small pieces of the intermetallic compound particles are removed in advance, even if the ink in which the hard pigment is dispersed as described above is used, The wear of the nib body due to the polishing action is greatly reduced.

The ink used for the ballpoint pen is not particularly limited, and various inks such as oil-based inks, water-based inks, and gel inks are used. In particular, the viscosity is 100 mPa · s or more and 20000 mPa · s at a shear rate of 10 sec −1 or less. High-viscosity inks of s or less are preferably used. The lower limit of the ink viscosity is more preferably 500 mPa · s or more. That is, in the high viscosity ink in the above viscosity range, even a pigment having a large specific gravity and large particles can be sufficiently dispersed, and therefore, it is used for an ink in which a hard substance such as aluminum powder or titanium white is dispersed. When such a hard pigment-dispersed ink is used, in the conventional ball, the wear of the bonded metal portion is intense, the polishing action due to the drop of the intermetallic compound particle pieces is increased, and the nib body is severely worn. In the ball of the present invention, since the small pieces of the intermetallic compound particles on the surface are removed in advance, even if the ink in which the hard pigment is dispersed as described above is used, the polishing effect of the small pieces of the intermetallic compound particles is used. The wear of the nib body is greatly reduced.

[0029]
As a comparative example, a ball was prepared in the same manner as in the example except that no twisting was performed. 6 and 7 show electron micrographs of the surface of the ball of the comparative example. 4 and 6 are secondary electron structure images when the surface of the ball is viewed from directly above, and FIGS. 5 and 7 are uneven electron images when the surface of the ball is viewed from directly above. In addition, the length of the white line shown at the lower center of each photograph is a scale of 1 μm.
[0030]
As can be seen from FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, it can be seen that the Co portion between the WC / CrC particles exposed on the surface is removed to form irregular recesses. Further, it can be seen that the edge portion is removed and rounded corners are formed around the concave portion of the WC / CrC particles.
[0031]
As can be seen from FIGS. 6 and 7, the ball of the comparative example has a flat surface and less irregularities than the example, and the Co portion between the WC / CrC particles exposed on the surface is hardly removed. .
[0032]
Next, the balls of the examples and comparative examples were set on the pen tip shown in FIG. 12, and a continuous writing test was performed under the following conditions using a continuous writing tester defined in JIS S6503.
[Test conditions]
Writing angle: 65 °
Load: 200g
Writing speed: 7cm / sec
Writing distance: 300m
Ink: Gel ink (high viscosity ink: viscosity 4800 mPa · s)
Nib: Stainless steel (SF20T: Shimomura Special Steel Co., Ltd.)
[0033]
The electron micrograph of the surface of the Example after the above-mentioned writing test is shown in FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, and the electron micrograph of the surface of the comparative example is shown in FIG. 10 and FIG. 8 and 10 are secondary electron structure images when the surface of the ball is viewed from directly above, and FIGS. 9 and 11 are uneven electron images when the surface of the ball is viewed from directly above. In addition, the length of the white line shown at the lower center of each photograph is a scale of 1 μm.
[0034]
As can be seen from FIG. 10 and FIG. 11, in the ball of the comparative example, it can be seen from the writing test that the Co portion between the WC / CrC particles is worn and a recess is formed, and the unevenness is larger than the initial state. Further, it can be seen that an angular edge is formed in a portion around the concave portion of the WC / CrC particle exposed on the surface. Further, it can be seen that new scratches and cracks are formed on the surface due to the polishing action of small pieces such as WC that have fallen off. On the other hand, as can be seen from FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, the surface state of the ball of the example is hardly changed from the initial state, and scratches and cracks due to small pieces such as WC are hardly generated. I understand.
[0035]
Further, the sinking of the ball after the writing test (the degree of wear of the nib body) is about 20 μm when the ball of the example is used, and about 50 μm when the ball of the comparative example is used. By using the ball of the example, the wear of the nib body could be greatly suppressed.
[0036]
Next, the ball of the above example was applied to a batting pen using a low-viscosity ink having a viscosity of 50 mPa · s, and a similar writing test was conducted. The same effect as that obtained when a gel ink was used was obtained.
[0037]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to this onset bright, small pieces of hard intermetallic compounds present in the gaps of a hard intermetallic compound particles of the surface is removed in advance, it does not act as an abrasive to fall off during use .
[0038]
In the ball-point pen ball of the present invention, when the intermetallic compound particles exposed on the surface are removed so that the edge portion around the concave portion does not wear the pen nib body, The exposed edge does not wear the nib body, and good writing quality is maintained for a longer period of time.
[0039]
