Description

The present invention relates to a combination terminal fitting.

As an example of the combination terminal fitting, a ground terminal fitting attached to the body of an automobile is known. This is composed of a pair of terminal fittings, and both the terminal fittings are stacked and assembled together in the left-right direction, and in that state, are fixed to the body by bolting.
One of the two terminal fittings is formed with a protruding protrusion, and at the time of assembly, this contacting protrusion presses the opposite surface of the other terminal fitting, thereby making the contact reliability of both terminal fittings Is to be secured. This type of terminal fitting is described in Patent Document 1 below.
JP 2001-338710 A

By the way, in the above case, even if both terminal fittings are to be closely stacked, the other terminal fitting has one portion corresponding to the protruding amount of the contact projection at the portion where the contact projection is formed. There is a problem in that it floats up from the terminal fitting and the deformation amount of the portion is large.
As a countermeasure, a concavity is formed in the other terminal fitting, and a contact protrusion is inserted into the concavity to reduce the amount of lifting of the other terminal fitting. Since it becomes difficult to ensure sufficient contact pressure, there is a dislike of lack of contact reliability.

The present invention has been completed based on the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to suppress the deformation amount of the terminal fitting and improve the contact reliability.

As means for achieving the above object, the invention of claim 1 comprises a pair of terminal fittings each provided with a plate-like attachment portion, and slides along the plate surface of each other while overlapping both attachment portions. be to, the two mounting portions engaged with each other leaving in the thickness direction is restricted, the a terminal fitting in which the two mounting portions to combine overlapping the thickness direction, combined attachment unit A contact portion protrudes from at least one of the opposing surfaces, an engagement hole is formed through the other portion at a position corresponding to the contact portion, and the contact portion protrudes therefrom. The contact portion has a guide surface that is inclined more gently than the other surface so as to be inclined downward from the protruding end surface toward the front in the sliding direction. Both terminal fittings by the guide surface Assembling operation is smoothly induced, at which the inclined surface portion of the contact portion is configured to be capable of abutting bite over the entire circumference a circumferential direction with respect to the hole edge of the engagement hole formed in an edge shape Has characteristics.

According to a second aspect of the invention, there is provided a connector described in claim 1, at least a pair formed with front SL contact portion with the engaging hole in each of the mounting portion, the coupling hole the terminal fittings in the mounting portion The contact portion is arranged in front of the sliding direction when combining, and the contact portion is arranged behind the sliding direction when combining the two terminal fittings in the attachment portion.

According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the first or second aspect of the present invention, a mounting hole is opened in the mounting portion, and both terminal fittings are provided by the fixing member such as a bolt penetrating the mounting hole. Is fixed to an object to be attached, and the contact portion and the engagement hole are formed in two pairs apart from each other around the attachment hole in the attachment portion.

<Invention of Claim 1>
When both the attachment portions are overlapped in the plate thickness direction, the slope portion of the contact portion contacts the hole edge of the engagement hole. Therefore, since it can be expected that the edge formed at the hole edge of the engagement hole bites into the slope portion, the contact pressure between the two terminal fittings can be increased. Further, it is possible to prevent the position between the two terminal fittings from being displaced along the plate surface. Furthermore, since a part of the protruding end side of the contact portion is fitted in the engagement hole, it is possible to suppress the terminal fitting from being lifted accordingly.

<Invention of Claim 2>
The engagement hole is arranged at the front in the sliding direction when combining both terminal fittings in the mounting part, and the contact part is arranged at the rear in the sliding direction when combining both terminal fittings in the mounting part. It is not until this time that the mounting portion and the contact portion interfere with each other. Therefore, the smoothness of the sliding operation of both terminal fittings is ensured until the final stage of the combination work.

<Invention of Claim 3>
Since the contact portion and the engagement hole are formed in the attachment portion so as to be spaced apart from each other around the hole of the attachment hole, the contact pressure between the two terminal fittings is evenly distributed, and the contact reliability can be further improved. .

Among these, the terminal fitting (hereinafter abbreviated as the upper terminal 10) assembled on the upper side is a plate-like, substantially square mounting portion 11 with rounded corners, as shown in FIG. It consists of a wire connecting portion 12 extending rearward from the right edge of the rear end. The electric wire connecting portion 12 includes a front wire barrel 12A for caulking a terminal core wire of an electric wire (not shown) and a rear insulation barrel 12B for caulking the electric wire terminal coating. Is formed. The attachment portion 11 includes a pair of front and rear flat plate portions 13 that are long in the left-right direction, a first engagement portion 14 that connects the left end portions of the flat plate portion 13 in a bridging manner, and a bridging shape between the right end portions of both flat plate portions 13. And a mounting hole 16 for allowing a bolt (not shown) to pass therethrough is formed in a central portion surrounded by the second engaging portion 15. Both flat plate portions 13 are aligned at substantially the same height position.

The first engaging portion 14 includes a flat plate-shaped first receiving plate portion 17 that is long in the front and rear, and both front and rear end portions thereof are bent upward and connected to the left end of the flat plate portion 13. The plate portion 17 has a step shape that is lower than the flat plate portion 13 by about one plate thickness. Further, the first receiving plate portion 17 is formed with a tab-shaped first insertion portion 18 protruding from the left end edge along the plate surface. Further, a slit 19 that extends in the left-right direction and opens to the left is formed between the front and rear end edges of the first insertion part 18 and the end edge of the flat plate part 13. Further, a locking projection 21 is formed on the upper surface of the first insertion portion 18 so as to be struck upward and to have a downward slope toward the left.

The second engagement portion 15 includes a substantially flat second receiving plate portion 22 that is long in the front-rear direction, and both front and rear end portions thereof are bent upward and connected to the right end of the flat plate portion 13. The two receiving plate portions 22 are stepped so as to be lower than the flat plate portion 13 by about one plate thickness. Further, the second receiving plate portion 22 is formed with a flat plate-like second insertion portion 23 protruding from the left end edge along the plate surface. Further, a slit 24 extending in the left-right direction and opened to the left is formed between the front and rear end edge portions of the second insertion portion 23 and the end edge portion of the flat plate portion 13. In addition, a rectangular locking hole 25 is formed in the second receiving plate portion 22 so as to penetrate in the plate thickness direction, and the upper surface of the second insertion portion 23 reaches the locking hole 25 from its left edge. A tapered surface 26 is formed.

On the other hand, a terminal fitting (hereinafter abbreviated as a lower terminal 30) assembled on the lower side is an extension of the wire connecting portion 32 from the left end portion of the rear end edge of the mounting portion 31 having a plate shape. The connection portion 32 includes a front wire barrel 32A for crimping a terminal core wire of an electric wire (not shown) and a rear insulation barrel 32B for caulking the terminal sheath of the electric wire, and both are raised upward in pairs. Is formed. The attachment portion 31 includes a pair of front and rear flat plate portions 33, a first engagement portion 34 that connects the right end portions of both flat plate portions 33, and a second engagement portion 35 that connects the left end portions of both flat plate portions 33. And has a mounting hole 36 in the center. The two engaging portions 34 and 35 are obtained by rotating the engaging portions 14 and 15 of the upper terminal 10 by 180 degrees around the axis in the front-rear direction, and the attaching portions 11 and 31 of the both terminal fittings 10 and 30. The hole-hole structures of the mounting holes 16 and 36 are substantially symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal axis.

The terminal fittings 10 and 30 are formed with contact portions 40 and engaging holes 41 near the left and right ends of the flat plate portions 13 and 33, respectively. Of these, the upper terminal 10 is formed at two upper and lower positions sandwiching the first engagement portion 14, with the engagement holes 41 penetrating in the plate thickness direction, and two upper and lower positions sandwiching the second engagement portion 15. The contact portion 40 is formed by knocking downward, and the two pairs of contact portions 40 and the engagement holes 41 are arranged apart from each other on the same straight line along the left-right direction. On the other hand, the lower terminal 30 is similarly formed in two upper and lower positions with the first engagement portion 34 interposed therebetween, with the engagement holes 41 penetrating in the plate thickness direction, with the second engagement portion 35 interposed therebetween. The contact portion 40 is knocked upward at a position, and the two pairs of contact portions 40 and the engagement holes 41 are arranged apart from each other on the same straight line along the left-right direction. That is, when both the terminal fittings 10 and 30 are overlapped from the left and right directions, the engagement hole 41 is forward in the sliding direction at the mounting portions 11 and 31 (leftward in the case of the upper terminal 10, and in the case of the lower terminal 30. The contact part 40 is arranged behind the sliding direction in the attachment parts 11 and 31 (in the opposite direction to the above).

The contact portion 40 and the engagement hole 41 are both the same shape and the same size, and the contact portion 40 has a longitudinal section trapezoidal shape extending in the left-right direction, while the engagement hole 41 extends in the left-right direction. It has an elliptical shape. Specifically, the contact portion 40 has an elliptical cross section, and as shown in FIG. 4, a curved slope portion whose diameter decreases toward the protruding end side when the entire circumference of the protruding end surface 40E is dropped. 40A. Further, the contact portion 40 is formed with a guide surface 40B that is inclined more gently than the other surface so as to have a downward slope from the protruding end surface 40E toward the front in the sliding direction. The guide surface 40B guides the assembling operation of the two terminal fittings 10 and 30.

The engagement hole 41 is substantially similar to the protruding end surface 40E of the contact portion 40, and has an opening diameter that is larger than the outer diameter of the protruding end surface 40E of the contact portion 40 but smaller than the outer diameter of the proximal end portion of the contact portion 40. is doing. And the edge formed as it penetrates the attachment parts 11 and 31 stands in the hole edge of the engagement hole 41. As shown in FIG. When the contact portion 40 engages with the engagement hole 41, as shown in FIG. 4, a part of the protruding end side of the contact portion 40 enters the engagement hole 41, while the inclined portion 40A of the contact portion 40 is engaged. The hole 41 is in contact with the hole edge of the joint hole 41 along the circumferential direction.

Next, the operation of this embodiment will be described. First, the first engagement portions 14 and 34 of both terminal fittings 10 and 30 are made to enter inside the counterpart mounting holes 16 and 36, respectively, while the upper terminal 10 is superimposed on the upper surface of the lower terminal 30. From this state, the upper terminal 10 is slid along the plate surface to the left with respect to the lower terminal 30. Then, the insertion parts 18 and 23 of the upper terminal 10 respectively enter the lower side of the insertion parts 18 and 23 of the lower terminal 30, and the locking protrusions 21 of the first insertion parts 18 are on the other side. The first insertion portion 18 is slightly bent and deformed in the plate thickness direction on the tapered surface 26. When the both terminal fittings 10 and 30 are further slid, the insertion portions 18 and 23 are inserted to the positions where they overlap the mating receiving plate portions 17 and 22, respectively, and the front and rear end portions of the receiving plate portions 17 and 22 are inserted. It is inserted into the other party's slits 19 and 24. When the final stage of the sliding operation is reached, the contact portion 40 slides on the mating flat plate portions 13 and 33, so that the flat plate portions 13 and 33 are slightly separated from the mating side and the two terminal fittings 10 and 30 are connected. It is elastically deformed by warping.

When the terminal fittings 10 and 30 reach the proper assembly position where the mounting holes 16 and 36 are aligned with each other, the first insertion portion 18 which has been bent and deformed in the thickness direction is restored, and the locking projection 21 fits into the mating locking hole 25, thereby restricting the sliding movement of the mounting portions 11, 31 in the direction of detachment. In this regular assembly state, as shown in FIG. 2, the first insertion portions 18 of the first engagement portions 14 and 34 of the two terminal fittings 10 and 30 are respectively connected to the second engagement portions 15 and 35 of the mating side. It is inserted into the opposite side surface of the second receiving plate portion 22, and the disengagement of the both terminal fittings 10, 30 in the plate thickness direction is regulated by the meshing. Further, in a properly assembled state, the contact portion 40 and the engagement hole 41 are fitted in a concavo-convex shape so that the warp deformation of the both terminal fittings 10 and 30 can be substantially eliminated and the terminal fittings 10 and 30 can be reliably connected. Electrical connection can be made. At this time, the mating attachment portions 11 and 31 are smoothly slidably guided along the guide surface 40B of the contact portion 40. In addition, the inclined surface portion 40A of the contact portion 40 abuts on the edge of the engagement hole 41 formed in an edge shape so as to be able to bite over the entire circumference in the circumferential direction, so that the space between the two terminal fittings 10 and 30 is reduced. Connected firmly. Thereafter, the assembled terminal fittings 10 and 30 are attached to a grounding member (not shown) such as an automobile body by inserting bolts into the attachment holes 16 and 36 and tightening the screws.

As described above, according to the present embodiment, the edge formed at the hole edge of the engagement hole 41 can bite into the inclined surface portion 40A, so that the contact pressure between the terminal fittings 10 and 30 can be increased. Moreover, it can prevent that the position between both the terminal metal fittings 10 and 30 shifts | deviates along a board surface. Furthermore, since a part of the protruding end side of the contact portion 40 is fitted into the engagement hole 41, the amount of lifting of the terminal fitting can be suppressed.

In addition, the engagement hole 41 is arranged forward in the sliding direction when the two terminal fittings 10 and 30 are combined in the attachment portions 11 and 31, and the contact portion 40 is combined in the both terminal fittings 10 and 30 in the attachment portions 11 and 31. The terminal fittings 10 and 30 can be smoothly slid until reaching the final stage of the combination work.
Furthermore, since the contact portion 40 and the engagement hole 41 are formed in two pairs in the attachment portions 11 and 31 so as to be spaced apart from each other around the attachment holes 16 and 36, the contact pressure between the terminal fittings 10 and 30 is reduced. Contact attachments 11 and 31 are evenly distributed to further improve contact reliability.
