(VA−VB)+(VD−VC) …
【0022】
(VA−Vα)+(VB−VC)+(Vβ−VD) …
(VA−Vα)+(VB−VC)−VD …
【0023】

VA−VB …
(VA−Vα)+(VB−Vβ) …
【0030】
VA−Vβ …
VA−Vα …
【0032】
VA+(VB−VC)+(Vp−VD)−Vo …

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a position detection apparatus including a coil that is AC-excited and a magnetic body or a conductor that is displaced relative to the coil, and is suitable for detecting a linear position or a rotational position within a predetermined range. In particular, the present invention relates to an apparatus that generates an output AC signal indicating amplitude function characteristics of a plurality of phases according to a detection target position by using only a primary coil excited by a one-phase AC.
[0002]
[Prior art]
An inductive linear position detector called LVDT is known. The 2-wire type LVDT consists of one primary coil and one secondary coil, and the inductive coupling between the primary and secondary coils changes according to the amount of penetration of the movable part made of magnetic material into the coil part. Then, an induction output signal having a voltage level corresponding to that is generated in the secondary coil. The 3-wire type LVDT has a differential transformer configuration consisting of one primary coil and two secondary coils connected in reverse phase in series. In this case, the movable portion made of a magnetic material having a predetermined length is reversed. The inductive coupling between the primary and secondary coils changes in a balanced manner according to the amount of penetration into one of the phase secondary coils, and an induced output signal having a voltage level corresponding to the inductive coupling is generated in the secondary coil. By performing an operation of adding or subtracting the secondary output signal of the LVDT in an analog manner, an output signal having a sine characteristic and an output signal having a cosine characteristic corresponding to the position of the movable portion are generated, and the output of these sine characteristics is output. The signal and the output signal of the cosine characteristic are processed by an RD converter to generate digital data in which the position of the movable part is detected. In addition, as another type of position detector, only an exciting coil is provided, and the change of the self-inductance according to the displacement of the movable magnetic core is detected by measuring the amount of phase shift by the RL circuit. Things are also known.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Conventionally known LVDTs require a primary coil and a secondary coil, which increases the number of parts and limits the reduction in manufacturing cost. In addition, there was a limit to downsizing. In addition, the usable phase angle range in the output signal of sine characteristics and cosine characteristics according to the position of the movable part is relatively narrow, about 45 degrees for the 2-wire type LVDT, and about 90 degrees for the 3-wire type LVDT, and can be detected. It was difficult to expand the phase angle range. In addition, the three-wire type LVDT has a problem that it is not easy to use because it can only detect a position where the movable part is displaced to the left and right of the state where the movable part is located at the center of the coil part. . Moreover, the detection resolution with respect to the minute displacement of a detection target was bad. On the other hand, in the position detector of the type that measures the self-inductance of the exciting coil, the number of coils can be reduced, but since the amount of phase shift according to the displacement of the detection target can be obtained only in a narrow range, the phase shift actually It was difficult to measure the amount, and the detection resolution was poor, which was unsuitable for practical use. In addition, if the coil impedance is changed in accordance with the change in the ambient environment temperature, the amount of phase shift is also changed, so that the temperature characteristic cannot be compensated.
[0004]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and has a small and simple structure, can widen a usable phase angle range, and can detect with high resolution even if a displacement of a detection target is minute. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a position detection device that can easily compensate for temperature characteristics.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Claim 1The position detecting device according to the present invention is a coil part formed by arranging a plurality of coils excited by a one-phase AC signal, and a magnetic response member arranged so as to be displaced relative to the coil part, The relative position between the member and the coil section changes according to the displacement of the detection target, the impedance of each coil is changed according to the relative position, and the relative position is a predetermined position based on the impedance change. The voltage generated in each coil changes in a predetermined section assigned to each coil while changing over the detection target range, and the voltage generated in each coil corresponds to the change in the detection target position. Each coil shows a unique change pattern, and in each coil, the voltage changes only in one direction of increase or decrease in the predetermined section assigned to the coil. And those formed by Uni configuration, take out a voltage generated in the coils, by calculating a combination thereof, and an analog operation circuit for generating at least one AC output signal having a predetermined periodic function characteristics as amplitude coefficientMeans for generating a predetermined reference voltage;WithThe analog operation circuit performs an operation by combining the reference voltage with the voltage from each coil..
When the number of coils is small, only a slight change curve of the voltage across the coil that occurs while the end of the magnetic response member is displaced from one end of the coil to the other is generated. Therefore, by calculating a combination of separately generated reference voltage and the output voltage of each coil, a plurality of AC output signals each indicating an amplitude according to a predetermined periodic function characteristic according to the detection target position, typically, Two AC output signals each indicating an amplitude according to the sine and cosine function characteristics can be generated according to the detection target position. As a means for generating the reference voltage, a dummy impedance element having an arbitrary configuration may be used. For example, a resistance element or inductance means such as a coil may be used.
[0006]
The magnetic response member typically includes at least one of a magnetic body and a conductor. When the magnetic response member is made of a magnetic material, as the degree of proximity of the member to the coil increases, the self-inductance of the coil increases, the electrical impedance of the coil increases, and the voltage generated in the coil, that is, The voltage between terminals (or voltage drop) increases. On the contrary, as the degree of proximity of the magnetic response member to the coil decreases, the inductance of the coil decreases, the electrical impedance of the coil decreases, and the voltage generated in the coil, that is, the voltage between terminals decreases. To do. Thus, with the displacement of the detection target, the voltage generated in the coil, that is, the voltage between the terminals, increases or decreases while the relative position of the magnetic response member with respect to the coil changes over a predetermined range.
[0007]
For example, typically, the incremental change curve exhibited by the terminal voltage of the coil while the relative position of the magnetic response member relative to the coil varies over a predetermined range is in the range of 0 to 90 degrees in the sine function. It can be compared to a function value change. A plurality of coils are provided, and as the position of the magnetic response member with respect to each of these coils is relatively displaced according to the displacement of the detection target, the gradually increasing (or gradually decreasing) change in the voltage between the terminals of each coil is different. Happens at. For example, if the output voltage of a certain coil shows a gradually changing curve characteristic in a certain predetermined section, and the output voltage of another coil shows a gradually changing curve characteristic in another predetermined section that follows, the output of the first coil. When the combination calculation is performed so that the output voltage of the second coil is subtracted from the voltage, it is possible to obtain a function characteristic in the range from 0 to 180 degrees in the sine function such that the amplitude voltage gradually increases and then decreases. . In such a combination calculation of the coil output voltages, temperature drift compensation can be automatically performed by the canceling effect by the subtraction calculation, so that accurate position detection can be realized with a simple configuration. .
[0008]
In this way, calculation (addition and / or subtraction) is performed by appropriately combining the change (gradual decrease) of the voltage (voltage between terminals) generated in each coil in consideration of the change in the partial phase range of the predetermined periodic function. By doing so, it is possible to generate a plurality of AC output signals each indicating an amplitude according to a predetermined period wg function characteristic according to the detection target position. That is, one or a plurality of alternating current outputs having an amplitude coefficient according to a predetermined periodic function characteristic according to a detection target position by taking out voltages between both ends of each coil section and combining them by adding and / or subtracting them. A signal can be generated. The plurality of generated AC output signals preferably have a periodic function characteristic that defines the amplitude of each AC output signal shifted by a predetermined phase. By doing so, for example, like a resolver, it is possible to generate an AC output signal having an amplitude coefficient according to the sine function characteristics and an AC output signal having an amplitude coefficient according to the cosine function characteristics according to the detection target position.
[0009]
Claim 2The position detection device according to the present invention includes a coil section in which a plurality of coil sections excited by a one-phase alternating current signal are sequentially and continuously arranged along a displacement direction of a detection target over a predetermined position detection target range A magnetic response member disposed so as to be relatively displaced with respect to the coil portion, wherein a relative position of the member and the coil portion changes according to a detection target position, and according to the relative position. Inductance of each coil section is changed, and the voltage generated in the coil section changes only in one direction of gradual increase or decrease while the member is displaced from one end to the other end of one coil section, and At least one alternating current showing an amplitude according to a predetermined periodic function characteristic in accordance with the detection target position by taking out the voltage of each coil section and calculating them in combination Those equipped with an analog operation circuit that generates a force signal.
[0010]
Also in this case, as described above, when the magnetic response member is made of a magnetic material, the self-inductance of the coil section increases as the degree of proximity or intrusion to each coil section of the member increases. While the end portion is displaced from one end to the other end of one coil section, the voltage generated in the coil section (that is, the voltage between both ends or the voltage between terminals) gradually increases. Since the plurality of coil sections are sequentially arranged along the displacement direction of the detection target, the position of the magnetic response member with respect to each coil section is relatively displaced according to the displacement of the detection target. A gradual increase (or gradual decrease) in the voltage across these occurs in sequence. Therefore, by using the combination of these gradually increasing (or gradually decreasing) changes in the voltage between the coil terminals as a change in the partial phase range of the predetermined periodic function, a predetermined periodic function characteristic according to the detection target position is used. A plurality of AC output signals each indicating an amplitude according to In other words, by taking out the voltage between both ends of each coil section and combining them by adding and / or subtracting them, a plurality of AC output signals each indicating an amplitude according to a predetermined periodic function characteristic are generated according to the detection target position can do.
[0011]
For example, typically, the gradual change curve of the voltage across the coil section that occurs while the end of the magnetic response member is displaced from one end of the coil section to the other end is, for example, 0 to 90 degrees in the sine function. It can be compared to a function value change in the range up to degrees. Further, this gradually increasing change curve can be converted into a gradually decreasing change curve gradually decreasing from the predetermined level by performing a voltage shift in which the amplitude is inverted to be negative and a predetermined level (offset level) is added. Such a gradual change curve can be compared to a function value change in a range from 90 degrees to 180 degrees in the sine function, for example. Thus, in the four coil sections arranged in sequence, the gradual change in the voltage between both ends occurring in order can be performed by applying an appropriate addition and / or subtraction as necessary, so that 0 to 90 degrees in the sine function. Function value change in the range up to 90 degrees, function value change in the range from 90 degrees to 180 degrees, function value change in the range from 180 degrees to 270 degrees, and function value change in the range from 270 degrees to 360 degrees, respectively. be able to. The inclination direction of the curve and the offset level of the voltage shift in each range can be appropriately controlled by appropriate analog calculation. Thus, it is possible to generate the first AC output signal indicating the amplitude according to the sine function characteristic in accordance with the detection target position, and the periodic function having the same characteristic that is 90 degrees out of phase with respect to this sine function, ie, the cosine function It is also possible to generate a second AC output signal having an amplitude according to the above characteristic.
[0012]
As described above, as a preferred embodiment, two AC output signals each indicating the amplitude according to the sine and cosine function characteristics can be generated according to the detection target position. For example, when the position to be detected is replaced with an angle θ, an AC output signal having an amplitude indicating a sine function characteristic can be generally indicated by sin θ sin ωt, and an AC output signal having an amplitude indicating a cosine function characteristic. Can be represented by cos θ sin ωt. This is similar to the form of the output signal of the position detector called a resolver, and is extremely useful. For example, the two AC output signals generated by the analog arithmetic circuit are input, and the phase values in the sine and cosine functions that define the amplitude value are detected from the correlation of the amplitude values in the two AC output signals. It is preferable that an amplitude phase conversion unit that generates position detection data of the detection target based on the detected phase value is provided.
[0013]
When a good electrical conductor such as copper is used as the magnetic response member, the self-inductance of the coil is reduced due to eddy current loss, and the end of the magnetic response member is displaced from one end to the other end of one coil section. In the meantime, the voltage across the coil section gradually decreases. In this case, detection can be performed in the same manner as described above. As the magnetic response member, a hybrid type in which a magnetic body and a conductor are combined may be used.
As another embodiment, the magnetic response member may include a permanent magnet, and the coil portion may include a magnetic core. In this case, in the magnetic core on the coil portion side, the corresponding portion becomes magnetic saturated or supersaturated according to the approach of the permanent magnet, and the magnetic response member, that is, the permanent magnet is displaced from one end to the other end of one coil section. In between, the voltage across the coil section gradually decreases.
[0014]
Thus, according to the present invention, it is sufficient to provide only the primary coil, and the secondary coil is not necessary. Therefore, it is possible to provide a position detecting device having a small and simple structure. In addition, a plurality of coils are sequentially arranged along the displacement direction of the detection target, and the voltage across the coil section gradually increases while the end of the magnetic response member is displaced from one end to the other end of one coil section. Since the change of the characteristic to be (or gradually decreased) occurs in sequence between the coils, the voltage of each coil section is taken out and added and / or subtracted to combine them to obtain a predetermined value according to the detection target position. It is possible to easily generate a plurality of AC output signals each indicating an amplitude according to a periodic function characteristic (for example, two AC output signals each indicating an amplitude according to a sine and cosine function characteristic), and to widen a usable phase angle range. Can do. For example, as described above, it is also possible to perform detection in a full phase angle range from 0 degrees to 360 degrees. Addition or subtraction of output voltages of a plurality of coil sections showing the same temperature characteristic, and combining them to generate a plurality of AC output signals each having an amplitude according to a predetermined periodic function characteristic, so that the temperature characteristic is automatically compensated Thus, position detection can be easily performed without the influence of temperature change. Furthermore, by detecting the phase value in a predetermined periodic function (for example, sine and cosine function) that defines the amplitude value from the correlation of the amplitude values in the plurality of AC output signals, even if the displacement of the detection target is minute, the resolution can be high. Position detection is possible.
[0015]
In the invention of claim 2The analog arithmetic circuit further comprises means for generating a predetermined reference voltage,SaidYou may make it calculate combining the said reference voltage with the voltage from each coil area.CoWhen the number of coil sections is small, a gradual increase (or decrease) change curve of the voltage between both ends of the coil section generated while the end of the magnetic response member is displaced from one end of the coil section to the other end is generated only slightly. . Therefore, separately generated reference voltage and each coilsectionA plurality of AC output signals each having an amplitude according to a predetermined periodic function characteristic according to the detection target position, typically, a sine and cosine function according to the detection target position. Two AC output signals each indicating an amplitude according to the characteristics can be generated. As a means for generating the reference voltage, a dummy impedance element having an arbitrary configuration may be used. For example, a resistance element or inductance means such as a coil may be used.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 shows an embodiment in which an amplitude change in a full range from 0 degrees to 360 degrees in electrical angle is obtained in two AC output signals each having an amplitude indicating sine and cosine function characteristics. FIG. 1A shows an example of a physical arrangement relationship between the

As shown in FIG. 1C, each of the coil sections Lα, LA, LB, LC, LD, and Lβ is a constant voltage or a constant voltage by a predetermined one-phase AC signal (indicated by sin ωt) generated from the
[0019]
Of course, the present invention is not limited to the above, and physically separate coils are used as the coil sections Lα, LA to LD, Lβ, and these are connected in series and excited together by a predetermined one-phase AC signal, In-phase excitation may be performed via separate excitation circuits using a one-phase AC signal. However, the embodiment in which one coil as described at the beginning is divided and used at a plurality of intermediate positions corresponding to a plurality of required coil sections is the simplest. Hereinafter, the coil sections Lα, LA to LD, Lβ are simply referred to as “coils”.

[0023]
The AC output signal “−cos θ sin ωt” having the minus cosine function characteristic obtained by the equation (2) is electrically 180 ° phase-inverted to actually generate a signal indicated by cos θ sin ωt. An AC output signal with function characteristics may be used. However, in the case where the subsequent phase detection circuit (amplitude phase conversion circuit) 22 uses, for example, an AC output signal having a cosine function characteristic in the form of “−cos θ sin ωt”, an AC having a negative cosine function characteristic is used. The output signal “−cos θ sin ωt” may be used as it is. Note that an AC output signal “cos θ sin ωt” having a cosine function characteristic can be actually generated by performing the following equation (2 ″) instead of the equation (2).
(Vα−VA) + (VC−VB) + (VD−Vβ) Equation (2 ″)
[0024]
The phase angle θ in the sine and cosine functions, which are the amplitude components of each AC output signal, corresponds to the position to be detected, and the phase angle θ in the range of 90 degrees corresponds to the length K of one coil. Yes. Therefore, the effective detection range having a length of 4K corresponds to a range from 0 degree to 360 degrees of the phase angle θ. Therefore, by detecting this phase angle θ, the detection target position in the 4K length range can be detected by absolute.
[0025]
Here, the compensation of the temperature characteristics will be described. The impedance of each coil changes according to the temperature, and the output voltages Vα, VA, VB, VC, VD, Vβ also change. For example, each voltage increases or decreases in one direction as shown by a broken line with respect to a solid curve in FIG. However, the AC output signals sin θ sin ωt and cos θ sin ωt having the sine and cosine function characteristics obtained by adding and subtracting these appear as amplitude changes in both positive and negative directions as shown by broken lines with respect to the solid curve in FIG. If this is shown using the amplitude coefficient A, it becomes Asin θ sin ωt and A cos θ sin ωt, and this amplitude coefficient A changes according to the ambient environment temperature, and this change appears in the two AC output signals in the same way. As is clear from this, the amplitude coefficient A indicating the temperature characteristic does not affect the phase angle θ in each sine and cosine function. Therefore, in this embodiment, temperature characteristics are automatically compensated, and accurate position detection can be expected.
[0026]
By detecting the phase component θ of the amplitude functions sin θ and cos θ in the AC output signals sin θ sin ωt and cos θ sin ωt having the sine and cosine function characteristics by the phase detection circuit (or amplitude phase conversion means) 22, the detection target position is detected in absolute. Can do. The
[0027]
As shown in FIG. 2B, the amplitude characteristics of the sine and cosine function characteristics of the AC output signals sin θ sin ωt and cos θ sin ωt are true if the correspondence between the angle θ and the detection target position x is linear. The sine and cosine function characteristics are not shown. However, the
[0028]
The change range of the phase component θ of the amplitude functions sin θ and cos θ in the AC output signals sin θ sin ωt and cos θ sin ωt of the sine and cosine function characteristics is not limited to the change in the full range from 0 degrees to 360 degrees as in the above embodiment. It may be a change in a narrower and narrower angle range. In that case, the configuration of the coil can be simplified. Since the effective detection range may be narrow for the purpose of detecting minute displacement, the detectable phase range may be an appropriate range of less than 360 degrees. In addition, there are various cases where the detectable phase range may be an appropriate range of less than 360 degrees depending on the detection purpose, and therefore, the present invention can be appropriately applied in such a case. Hereinafter, those modifications will be described.
[0029]
FIG. 3 shows an embodiment that can produce a phase change in the range of 0 degrees to 180 degrees. In this case, the
VA-VB Formula (3)
(VA−Vα) + (VB−Vβ) (4)
[0030]
As can be easily understood with reference to FIG. 2, the AC output signal sin θ sin ωt indicating the amplitude curve of the sine function characteristic for the range of 0 ° to 180 ° is generated by the calculation of Equation (3). can do. In addition, the AC output signal cos θ sin ωt indicating the amplitude curve of the cosine function characteristic in the range of −90 degrees to 0 degrees to 90 degrees to 180 degrees to 270 degrees can be generated by the calculation of Expression (4). As described above, the auxiliary coil Lβ can be omitted. In this case, by detecting the phase angle component θ of the amplitude function, the detection target position in the length range corresponding to the coil length 2K of the two coils LA and LB can be detected by absolute. The arithmetic expression is not limited to the above, and can be set as appropriate. That is, the arithmetic expression can be changed as appropriate depending on which angle range the phase change with a width of 180 degrees is generated. For example, when an effective phase change is caused corresponding to an angle range of 180 degrees to 360 degrees, the AC output signal sin θ sin ωt having a sine function characteristic is expressed by an arithmetic expression “(Vα−VA) + (Vβ−VB)”. Then, an AC output signal cos θ sin ωt having a cosine function characteristic can be generated by an arithmetic expression of “VB−VA”.
[0031]
FIG. 4 shows an embodiment that can produce a phase change in the range from 0 degrees to 90 degrees. In this case, the
VA-Vβ Formula (5)
VA-Vα Formula (6)
[0032]
This also shows the amplitude curve of the sine function characteristics in the range of 0 to 90 degrees by the calculation of equation (5), as can be easily understood with reference to FIG. An AC output signal sinθsinωt can be generated. Further, the AC output signal cos θ sin ωt indicating the amplitude curve of the cosine function characteristic in the range of −90 degrees to 0 degrees to 90 degrees can be generated by the calculation of Expression (6). Therefore, a range of 0 degree to 90 degrees can be secured as the effective detection range. Also in this case, the arithmetic expression is not limited to the above, and can be set as appropriate. That is, the arithmetic expression can be changed as appropriate depending on which angle range the phase change of 90 degrees in width occurs.
[0033]
In the above embodiment, auxiliary coils Lα and Lβ are provided before and after the effective detection range, respectively, but these auxiliary coils Lα and Lβ can be omitted. FIG. 5 shows an example of this, and shows an embodiment that can cause a phase change in the range from 0 degrees to 180 degrees. In this case, the

As another example, only one coil may be provided corresponding to the effective detection range. In that case, the phase change width of the effective detection range corresponding to the coil length K of one coil is less than 90 degrees. FIG. 6 shows an example thereof, and as shown in FIG. 6A, one coil LA is provided, and a resistance element R1 is connected in series to the coil LA. By measuring the phase component θ of the amplitude functions sin θ and cos θ in the AC output signals sin θ sin ωt and cos θ sin ωt having the sine and cosine function characteristics in the same manner as described above, the phase detection circuit (or amplitude phase conversion means) 22 measures the detection target position. It can be detected by absolute.
[0056]
Here, the compensation of the temperature characteristic in the embodiment of FIG. 16 will be described. The impedance of each coil changes according to the temperature, and the output voltages VA, VB, VC, VD also change. For example, as in the case of FIG. 2, each voltage increases or decreases in one direction as shown by the broken line with respect to the solid curve in FIG. 18A, but the sine and cosine function characteristics obtained by adding and subtracting these voltages. The AC output signals sin θ sin ωt and cos θ sin ωt appear as amplitude changes in both positive and negative directions as shown by broken lines with respect to the solid curve in FIG. 18B, and therefore have an influence on the phase angle θ in each sine and cosine function. Therefore, the temperature drift characteristic is compensated for, and accurate position detection can be expected. Furthermore, as described above, temperature compensation can be performed by forming a conductor film by performing copper plating or the like on the outer periphery of the

[0070]
In addition, when two position detection devices that generate only one AC output signal sin θ · sin ωt as in the above modification are provided side by side as shown in FIG. 19, a detection device according to a known phase shift type position detection principle is configured. You can also. That is, in the detection device according to the known phase shift type position detection principle, a primary coil of a plurality of phases is excited using a two-phase AC signal (for example, sin ωt and cos ωt), and a combined output signal of the secondary coils of each phase is obtained. An output AC signal (for example, sin (ωt + θ)) that is phase-shifted by the phase angle θ corresponding to the position is obtained. The idea of the present invention may be applied to a detection apparatus that employs such a phase shift type position detection principle. For this purpose, as shown in the example of FIG. 14, two coil groups are arranged in parallel, and the coils in each group are commonly excited by AC signals having different phases for each group (for example, sin ωt and cos ωt), Cos θ sin ωt is formed by one coil group and sin θ cos ωt is formed by the other coil group, and both outputs may be added or subtracted.

In the present invention, the voltage generated in the coil or the voltage between the terminals of the coil is not necessarily limited to the voltage detection type circuit configuration, and should be interpreted broadly. The range to be adopted is also included in the scope. In short, any circuit configuration that can generate and detect an analog voltage or current corresponding to a change in the impedance of the coil may be used.

As described above, according to the present invention, it is sufficient to provide only the primary coil, and the secondary coil is unnecessary. Therefore, it is possible to provide a position detecting device having a small and simple structure. In addition, a plurality of coil sections are sequentially arranged along the displacement direction of the detection target, and the voltage across the coil gradually increases (or decreases gradually) while the magnetic response member is displaced from one end to the other end of one coil section. ) Changes in order for each coil section, so that the voltage of each coil section is taken out and combined by adding and / or subtracting them to obtain a predetermined periodic function according to the detection target position. It is possible to easily generate a plurality of AC output signals each indicating an amplitude according to a characteristic (for example, two AC output signals each indicating an amplitude according to a sine and cosine function characteristic), and it is possible to widen a usable phase angle range. .
