Claims (6)
- モータ保護装置であって、
底壁部と、前記底壁部から上方に延び、開放端部およびスイッチチャンバを規定する側壁部とを有し、前記側壁部は、前記開放端部の少なくとも2つの対向側面上に一部を有する横方向に外側に延びるフランジが形成された自由端部を有するハウジング部材と、
前記スイッチチャンバ内に位置され、前記ハウジング部材に電気的に接続され、可動接点を有するサーモスタットスイッチと、
前記フランジ上に位置していて、前記ハウジング部材の前記開放端部と整合している開口部を有するガスケットと、
前記ガスケット上に収容され、かつ前記ハウジング部材に取り付けられている第1および第2の離間された蓋部分を有する蓋であって、前記第1および第2の蓋部分には、凹状の引っ込んだ部分を形成するドームを有する部分が形成されている前記蓋と、
ほぼ螺旋形を有し、第1および第2の端部を有し、前記第1および第2の端部が離間された第1および第2の蓋部分にそれぞれ電気的に接続され、前記螺旋形の部分が前記第1および第2の蓋部分の凹状の引っ込んだ部分に収容されかつそこから離される、細長いヒータ素子とを備えるモータ保護装置。 - 前記ドームを有する部分は、前記第1および第2の蓋部分が配置される方向の縦軸に沿って延びる、請求項1記載のモータ保護装置。
- 前記ドームを有する部分は、第1および第2の蓋部分のうちの一方の蓋部分に相対的に短い前記縦軸方向の長さを有し、他方の蓋部分に相対的に長い前記縦軸方向の長さを有する、請求項2記載のモータ保護装置。
- 第1および第2の蓋部分の各々は、前記ハウジング部材のフランジ部分上に設置することができかつ前記ガスケットを通して前記フランジ部分にクランプされるタブが形成された2つの対向する側部を有する、請求項1記載のモータ保護装置。
- 第1および第2の蓋部分の各々に形成されたヒータ素子溶接突起を含む、請求項1記載のモータ保護装置。
- 前記ヒータ素子の前記螺旋形の部分が、前記第1および第2の蓋部分が配置される方向の縦軸にほぼ平行な方向に延びていて、前記ヒータ素子の前記第1および第2の端部がほぼ横方向に延びる、請求項5記載のモータ保護装置。
