BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a fuel cell device, and more particularly to a fuel cell device characterized by a method for replacing a fuel gas in a fuel chamber immediately after stopping power generation.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, in a fuel cell using a polymer electrolyte membrane, the fuel gas or the oxidizing gas is ionized due to the difference in concentration of the fuel gas or the oxidizing gas on both sides of the electrolyte membrane, and the ions pass through the electrolyte membrane. Therefore, if the fuel gas and the oxidizing gas exist with the electrolyte membrane in between, the electrochemical reaction between the two continues. Conventionally, in order to stop the operation of the fuel cell, the supply of the fuel gas and the oxidizing gas to the fuel cell is stopped. In this case, since the fuel gas and the oxidizing gas remain in the fuel cell, the electrochemical reaction between the two continues until one of the remaining gases disappears. After the supply of the fuel gas or the oxidizing gas is stopped, when the residual gas reacts inside the fuel cell, its volume decreases and the pressure on the fuel chamber (fuel gas flow path) side gradually decreases. When the internal pressure in the fuel chamber decreases, the oxidizing gas penetrates the electrolyte membrane from the oxidizing gas passage and enters the fuel gas passage. As a result, in the fuel chamber, a region where the concentration of the fuel gas is particularly high and a region where the concentration of the oxidizing gas is particularly high coexist, that is, a state where the fuel gas and the oxidizing gas are locally unevenly distributed in the same fuel chamber. Will occur. As the uneven distribution of gas increases, a reaction occurs between the fuel gas and the oxidizing gas at a position different from the normal power generation reaction, and the electrode catalyst and the polymer electrolyte membrane deteriorate.
[0003]
Conventionally, in order to prevent the deterioration of electrodes and the like due to such an abnormal reaction, when the supply of fuel gas or oxidizing gas is stopped, an inert gas such as nitrogen is supplied to the fuel chamber so that the atmosphere in the fuel chamber is not affected. Replaced with active gas. In addition, as described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open Nos. 60-241661 and 8-124588, there has been proposed a method in which the residual hydrogen gas in the fuel cell is sucked and another gas for pressure adjustment is introduced. .
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the configuration in which another gas is replaced in the fuel chamber as in the conventional case, gas replacement is performed every time the fuel cell is stopped, which may be inconvenient. For example, when restarting immediately after stopping the fuel cell, it is necessary to replace the replaced gas with the fuel gas again, and there is a problem that the replacement gas or the fuel gas must be used wastefully.
[0005]
In addition, a preparation operation for supplying the fuel gas again and filling the fuel chamber with the fuel gas is required, and there is a problem that it takes time to restart.
An object of the present invention is to provide a fuel cell device that can be easily restarted immediately after being stopped while reducing the uneven distribution of the fuel gas and the oxidizing gas to suppress the deterioration of the electrolyte membrane.

[0060]
In the configuration described above, it is necessary to monitor predetermined parameters such as the hydrogen gas concentration, the hydrogen gas pressure, and the potential of the electrode of the unit cell after the power generation stop operation. In addition, it is necessary to drive auxiliary equipment such as driving of an air fan, driving of a hydrogen circulation pump P1, opening and closing of an electromagnetic valve, etc., at the stage when a sign of gas uneven distribution is confirmed. Therefore, during the stop operation, the storage amount of the auxiliary power source such as a capacitor is detected, and if the predetermined value is not reached, the power generation state is maintained and the auxiliary power source is charged even in the stop operation. Is preferred. In this case, the power generation state is stopped when the storage amount of the auxiliary power source reaches a predetermined value.
[0061]
Further, in the above-described configuration, the gas is unevenly distributed by sending a gas such as hydrogen gas or air from the outside. However, the hydrogen circulation pump P1 is driven and the hydrogen gas is circulated to suppress the gas uneven distribution. It can also be. Or it is good also as a state (state which turned on the relay 71) to which electricity was supplied to load simultaneously. With such a configuration, the hydrogen gas circulation suppresses the uneven distribution of hydrogen and oxygen, further promotes the generation of water, and when the load is energized, the hydrogen is consumed and can be quickly replaced with air. It becomes.

【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention described above, uneven distribution of the fuel gas and oxygen gas in the fuel chamber is suppressed, and deterioration of the electrode due to an abnormal reaction of both can be prevented. Further, by detecting a sign that the gas is unevenly distributed, the fuel gas can remain in the fuel chamber after the power generation is stopped until the gas is unevenly distributed. For this reason, the restart immediately after a power generation stop is also possible easily. Further, by adopting a configuration in which fuel gas is supplied to eliminate the uneven distribution of gas, it is possible to restart without waiting for the supply time of the fuel gas, and the time for restart can be shortened.
In addition, when the fuel gas is sucked by the pump when the uneven gas distribution is detected, the uneven gas distribution can be reliably eliminated. Furthermore, by adding a configuration in which air is sent into the combustion chamber by the air introduction means, the uneven distribution of gas can be more reliably eliminated. Even if a configuration is adopted in which air is sent only by the air introduction means without providing a pump, the uneven distribution of gas can be reliably eliminated.
