【発明の属する技術分野】
この発明は、自動販売機に関し、さらに詳しくは、任意の商品見本やポスターパネル等を強調して照明できる等、照明したい箇所を柔軟かつ効果的に照明できるとともに、自動販売機の薄型化にも寄与できる自動販売機に関する。

【従来の技術】
図１６は、従来の自動販売機を示す正面図である。同図に示すように、自動販売機の外扉１の前面部には、商品見本３を展示するとともに、販売商品の広告等を示すポスターパネル４を展示する展示空間２が形成されている。この展示空間２の前面には、商品見本３とポスターパネル４とを視認できるように電照板５が設けられている。

この電照板５の一部には、販売商品の広告・ロゴマーク等を示すロゴ表示部５ａが印刷等により表示されている。また、電照板５の前面には、商品選択用の押ボタン７が各商品見本３に対応するように設けられている。なお、外扉１には、商品取出口８のほか、図示しない硬貨投入口や紙幣挿入口、釣銭返却口・返却レバー等が設けられている。

展示空間２には、商品見本３やポスターパネル４、ロゴ表示部５ａを照明する蛍光灯２０が配設されている。このように商品見本３等を蛍光灯２０によって照明することで、商品情報や広告をアピールし、集客力を高めようとしている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、従来の自動販売機は、線光源または面光源としての単色の蛍光灯（蛍光管）２０によって商品見本３等を照明しているので、これら全体を均一に照明することには適しているものの、売れ筋商品やお勧め商品、新発売商品というように、特定の商品見本３等のみを強調するために、色彩や明るさを変えて照明することは不得手であり、アピール性に欠けるという課題があった。

また、蛍光灯２０の光は発散するので、自動販売機の設置場所によっては、周囲を必要以上に明るく照らしてしまい、景観を損ねたり、虫が電照板５に集まってしまうという課題もあった。

また、蛍光灯２０自体の外径が大きいため照明装置が大型化し、外扉１の厚みが増え、自動販売機の奥行き寸法が大きくなってしまうという課題があった。

さらに、蛍光灯２０は発光効率が悪く発熱量も大きいため、蛍光灯２０の周囲の部材を難燃性部材にて形成し、放熱スペースを確保した構造にする必要があるなど、設計の自由度が制約されるとともに、外扉１の厚みが増え、自動販売機の奥行き寸法が大きくなってしまうという課題もあった。

この発明は、上記に鑑みてなされたものであって、任意の商品見本やポスターパネル等を強調して照明できる等、照明したい箇所を柔軟かつ効果的に照明できるとともに、自動販売機の薄型化にも寄与できる自動販売機を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上述の目的を達成するために、この発明の請求項１にかかる自動販売機は、外扉前面に設けられ、複数の商品見本を展示するとともに商品の情報または広告を示すポスターパネルを展示する展示空間と、前記展示空間の前面を覆い、前記商品見本および前記ポスターパネルを視認可能に形成された電照板と、前記商品見本、前記ポスターパネル、前記電照板を照らす照明手段とを備えた自動販売機において、前記照明手段として複数の商品見本、ポスターパネル、電照板をそれぞれ個別に照明する発光ダイオードを備えたことを特徴とする。

照明を強調したい商品見本、ポスターパネル等を発光ダイオードにより照らし、その光量や発光タイミング（点灯、半点灯、点滅等）等を、あらかじめ設定されたプログラムに基づいて制御する。

これにより、種々の色彩（複数色の発光ダイオードを用いた場合）、照度、発光タイミングにて任意の照明を柔軟かつ効果的に演出でき、たとえば、売れ筋商品やお勧め商品、新発売商品等を強調して購買意欲をそそるディスプレイ効果を演出できる。

また、発光ダイオードの寸法がきわめて小さく、また発熱量も小さいので、蛍光灯を備えた従来の自動販売機のように広い設置スペースや放熱スペースを必要とせず、自動販売機の薄型化にも寄与できる。

さらに、発光ダイオードは、消費電力が小さいため省エネルギー化にも寄与でき、また素子の寿命も長く、光源交換等につきメンテナンスフリーを期待できる。

また、この発明の請求項２にかかる自動販売機は、庫内に多段に設置された商品収納ラックに収納された商品と当該商品の搬出動作とを目視可能に形成され、当該庫内を照らす照明手段を備えた自動販売機において、前記照明手段として発光ダイオードを用い、前記商品収納ラックに収納された商品を照らす発光ダイオードは当該商品収納ラックに収納された目視可能な商品を個別に照明するように配設してなることを特徴とする。

発光ダイオードは発熱量が少ないため、冷蔵商品を収納する庫内にも設けることができ、庫内の天井面や商品収納ラックの適宜位置に設けることにより、庫内の商品を直接照らすことができ、購買意欲をそそるディスプレイ効果を演出できる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、この発明にかかる自動販売機の実施の形態につき図面を参照しつつ詳細に説明する。なお、この実施の形態によりこの発明が限定されるものではない。

実施の形態１．
図１は、この発明の実施の形態１にかかる自動販売機の要部を示す側断面図、図２は、自動販売機を示す正面図である。なお、以下の説明において、すでに説明した部材と同一もしくは相当する部材には、同一の符号を付して重複説明を省略または簡略化する。

外扉１の展示空間２は、天井部２ａ、背板部２ｂ、底部２ｃおよび電照板５によって区画形成されている。商品見本３は、たとえば３段に形成された展示台９上に設けられている。電照板５前面の各商品見本３に対応する位置には、押ボタン７が、電照板５裏面に配された取付金７ａによって固定されている。ポスターパネル４は、底部２ｃに傾斜させて立設されている。

発光ダイオード素子（以下、ＬＥＤ素子と記す）６は、商品見本３、ポスターパネル４および電照板５のロゴ表示部（図示せず）を上方から照明するために、天井部２ａや展示台９の下部に設けられたものであり、少なくとも３原色（赤色、緑色、青色）を適宜数配してなり、任意の色彩を演出して照明できるように構成されている。

また、使用するＬＥＤ素子６の特性に応じて、その取付位置や照射角度は調整されており、たとえば、ＬＥＤ素子６の指向角が小さい場合には照射対象との距離あけ、指向角が大きい場合には照射対象との距離を狭めて配置すればよい。

電照板５やロゴ表示部が着色され、白色光によっても十分に演出可能な場合には、白色のＬＥＤ素子６によって照明してもよく、照明対象の条件によって適宜の色に決定すればよい。

また、ＬＥＤ素子６として、たとえば発光スペクトルのピーク波長が３８０ｎｍ程度のものを設けることにより、電照板５への虫除けの効果を期待できる。なお、ＬＥＤ素子６やその他の必須構成機器は、図示しない公知のドライバ手段や制御装置によって動作するように構成されている。

つぎに制御動作について説明する。照明を強調したい商品見本３、ポスターパネル４等に対応する各ＬＥＤ素子６の光量や発光タイミング（点灯、半点灯、点滅等）等を、あらかじめ設定されたプログラムに基づいて制御する。すなわち、種々の色彩、照度、発光タイミングにて任意の照明を柔軟かつ効果的に演出し、たとえば、売れ筋商品やお勧め商品、新発売商品等を強調して購買意欲をそそるディスプレイ効果を演出する。

以上のように、この実施の形態１にかかる自動販売機によれば、制御の容易なＬＥＤ素子６を備えたことにより、種々の色彩、照度、発光タイミングにて任意の照明を柔軟かつ効果的に演出でき、たとえば、売れ筋商品やお勧め商品、新発売商品等を強調して購買意欲をそそるディスプレイ効果を演出できる。

図４は、この発明の実施の形態３にかかる自動販売機の要部を示す側断面図である。本実施の形態３は、商品見本３を、半透明樹脂等によって有底筒状に形成したディスプレイ缶３ａによって形成し、かつ、ＬＥＤ素子６をこのディスプレイ缶３ａの内部および背後に設けたものである。その他の基本構成および基本制御動作は、上記実施の形態１の場合と同様であるので、重複説明を省略する。

以上説明したように、この発明にかかる自動販売機（請求項１）によれば、外扉前面に設けられ、商品見本を展示するとともに商品の情報または広告を示すポスターパネルを展示する展示空間と、前記展示空間の前面を覆い、前記商品見本および前記ポスターパネルとを視認可能に形成された電照板と、前記商品見本、前記ポスターパネル、前記電照板のうちの少なくとも一つを照らす照明手段とを備えた自動販売機において、前記照明手段として発光ダイオードを用いたので、種々の色彩（複数色の発光ダイオードを用いた場合）、照度、発光タイミングにて任意の照明を柔軟かつ効果的に演出でき、たとえば、売れ筋商品やお勧め商品、新発売商品等を強調して購買意欲をそそるディスプレイ効果を演出できる。
