【0025】
一方、ADF3は第2の読み取り手段であるCIS(密着イメージセンサ:Contact Image Sensor)21を原稿台16と対向する位置に備えている。
【0042】
一方、原稿台12上の原稿を読み取る際には、光源ユニット13は、図1中の位置Pos3(静止原稿の読み取り時の光源ユニット13のスタート位置、以下第3の位置という)から位置Pos4(最大原稿の読み取り時の光源ユニット13のリターン位置、以下第4の位置という)の方向に、図1には示されていないが、原稿台12上に載置されている原稿のサイズを検出するための第3原稿サイズ検出器S9(図2参照)等で検出された原稿サイズに応じて所定距離を移動するようになっている。
【0043】

[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in an apparatus capable of setting a large number of sheet bodies as described above, when the sheet storage means is kept at the lowest position, the number of sheet bodies that can be stored in the sheet storage means is increased. However, when the number of sheet bodies accommodated in the sheet accommodating means is small, the sheet accommodating means is raised from the time when the reading start instruction is received, and the original can be supplied to the conveyance path. Takes a long time, and there arises a problem that the entire time until the reading of the original is completed becomes long.
[0006]
In order to solve such a problem, an apparatus is known in which the height of the standby position of the sheet storage means is adjusted in accordance with the number of documents frequently used and fixed in that state ( Patent Document 2). However, in such an apparatus, when it is rarely necessary to set a large number of sheet bodies in the sheet storage means, it is not possible to set such a large number of sheet bodies at once, and in some cases The problem arises that it must be divided and set.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and the range in which the sheet storage means can be raised and lowered is set large so that a large number of sheet bodies can be set. A sheet feeding device capable of resetting the position of the sheet storage means to an appropriate position corresponding to the number of sheets when the standby position for setting is set to an arbitrary position and the same An object of the present invention is to provide an image reading apparatus used.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The sheet feeding apparatus according to the present invention is on standby with a preset height position as a standby position, and stacks and stores a plurality of sheet bodies, and moves the sheet storage means up and down. The height position that is the standby position can be set to an arbitrary height position, and the sheet is moved to the lifting / lowering means in a state where the sheet storage means is located at the standby position. Containers meansMove up and down to any height depending on the operating stateAn operation means for giving an instruction to the control means is provided.
[0011]
In such a sheet feeding apparatus according to the present invention, when the instruction is given from the operation means in a state where the sheet storage means is in the standby position, the lifting means moves the sheet storage means at a predetermined height position. Further down from a certain standby position according to the operating state of the operating means.
[0012]
Further, in the sheet feeding apparatus according to the present invention, in the above invention, the control unit controls the elevating unit so that the sheet storing unit elevates by a predetermined height for each operation of the operation unit. It is made to do so.
[0013]
In such a sheet feeding apparatus according to the present invention, when the instruction is given from the operation means in a state where the sheet storage means is in the standby position, the lifting means moves the sheet storage means at a predetermined height position. Each time the operation means is operated once from a certain standby position, it is further lowered by a predetermined height.
[0014]
Still further, in the sheet feeding apparatus according to the present invention, the control means controls the elevating means so that the sheet storing means elevates continuously while the operation of the operation means is continued. It is characterized by being.
[0015]
In such a sheet feeding apparatus according to the present invention, when the instruction is given from the operation means in a state where the sheet storage means is in the standby position, the lifting means moves the sheet storage means at a predetermined height position. As long as the operation of the operation means is continued from a certain standby position, the operation means is further lowered in response.

【The invention's effect】
As described in detail above, according to the sheet feeding apparatus of the present invention, the range in which the sheet storage means can be raised and lowered is increased so that a large number of sheet bodies can be set, and the sheet body is nevertheless Even if the standby position where the sheet is set is set to a relatively high position corresponding to the thickness of a small number of frequently used sheet bundles, the operation means is operated when a large number of sheets are set. As a result, it is possible to easily accommodate a large number of sheet bodies by lowering the sheet accommodating means. Therefore, it is easy to set the maximum number of sheet bodies that can be stored in the sheet storage means, and when a small number of sheet bodies that are frequently used are set, it is necessary to start taking out the sheet bodies from the sheet storage means. The time required can be shortened.
[0089]
Further, according to the sheet feeding device of the present invention, in addition to the above-described invention, the sheet storage means can be displaced up and down in a state corresponding to the operation state of the operation means.
[0090]
Further, according to the sheet feeding device of the present invention, when the operation unit is operated in a state where the sheet storage unit is in the standby position, the sheet storage unit is moved by a predetermined height every time the operation unit is operated. Since it moves up and down, the height of the sheet storage means can be adjusted step by step by a predetermined height.
[0091]
Further, according to the sheet feeding device of the present invention, when the operation unit is operated in a state where the sheet storage unit is in the standby position, the sheet storage unit continuously moves while the operation unit is being operated. Since it moves up and down, the height of the sheet storage means can be finely adjusted.
[0092]
Furthermore, according to the image reading apparatus of the present invention, since the document to be read is fed to the image reading position by the image reading means by the sheet feeding apparatus of each invention described above, the sheet feeding of each invention described above is performed. The effect of the feeding device can be obtained by the image reading device.
