BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a manufacturing process of a plasma display panel (hereinafter referred to as PDP), and particularly relates to a technical field of a sandblasting apparatus for forming ribs constituting a discharge space of a PDP by a sandblasting method.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, a PDP has a structure in which a pair of electrodes regularly arranged on two opposing glass substrates are provided, and a gas mainly composed of Ne, Xe, or the like is enclosed therebetween. Then, a voltage is applied between these electrodes, and discharge is generated in minute cells around the electrodes, thereby causing each cell to emit light for display. In order to display information, cells arranged regularly are selectively discharged. There are two types of PDPs: a DC type (DC type) with electrodes exposed in the discharge space and an AC type (AC type) covered with an insulating layer, both of which vary depending on the display function and driving method. Further, it is classified into a refresh driving method and a memory driving method.
[0003]
FIG. 1 shows an example of the configuration of an AC type PDP. This figure shows a state in which the front plate and the back plate are separated from each other. As shown in the figure, two
[0004]
The rib on the back plate in such a PDP has been conventionally formed by overprinting by screen printing, but recently, it is often formed by a so-called sand blast method from the point of accuracy. When ribs are formed by this method, an inorganic powder such as a low-melting glass powder or a refractory filler is used as a main component or component, and a rib paste obtained by adding an appropriate binder resin and solvent is applied to the substrate. The rib material layer is formed by drying and a photosensitive resin composition layer having sandblast resistance is provided thereon, and then patterned into a cell-defining mask by a photolithography method, and above the sandblasting mask. A procedure is employed in which an unnecessary portion of the rib material layer is removed by jetting mixed air containing an abrasive from the jet nozzle, and then the sandblasting mask is removed and then fired. As the abrasive, inorganic powders such as glass beads, SiC, SiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , and ZrO 2 are used.
[0005]
A sand blasting apparatus used in a rib forming method by the sand blasting method performs processing by reciprocating an injection nozzle with respect to a substrate conveyed in a processing chamber in order to process the substrate surface uniformly. For this reason, it has the slit-shaped opening part which can reciprocate the injection nozzle and the supply piping system of an abrasive on the ceiling of a processing chamber. Therefore, if the slit-shaped opening is left open, the abrasives sprayed during processing will scatter and contaminate the environment outside the apparatus. In addition, the abrasive material adheres to the nozzle drive rail on the ceiling of the processing chamber, and wear is accelerated.
[0006]
In view of this, there is a device such as the sand blasting apparatus illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3 in which the slit-like opening of the processing chamber ceiling is closed. This sandblasting apparatus has a
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the sandblasting apparatus described above, even if the pipe for supplying the abrasive to the injection nozzle moves, the rubber goodwill abuts from both sides of the pipe, so that the abrasive injected during processing is slitted in the ceiling of the processing chamber. It is prevented from scattering from the part. However, when the piping for supplying the abrasive to the injection nozzle reciprocates, foreign matter is generated by rubbing against the rubber goodwill, and the foreign matter falls on the substrate being processed as it is, which deteriorates the quality of the substrate. There is.
[0008]
The present invention has been made in view of such problems, and the object of the present invention is to supply an abrasive without adversely affecting the substrate being processed during sandblasting for patterning the ribs of the PDP. An object of the present invention is to provide a sandblasting device capable of preventing leakage of abrasive from a slit-like opening through which a piping system passes.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a sandblasting apparatus of the present invention is used for patterning by cutting a rib material layer on a substrate with an abrasive, and at least a processing chamber surrounded by the processing chamber, and the processing chamber Substrate conveying means for conveying the substrate so as to pass through, an injection nozzle for injecting abrasive to the substrate in the processing chamber, an abrasive supply means for supplying abrasive to the injection nozzle through a pipe, and injection And an injection nozzle moving means for reciprocating the nozzle in a direction perpendicular to the substrate transport direction, and a slit-like opening is provided in the ceiling of the processing chamber for reciprocating the injection nozzle and the abrasive supply piping system. and which, for use in circulating abrasives injection nozzle is injected in sandblasting apparatus that is a negative pressure from the outside as the processing chamber causes sucked grinding material circulation path, Sealing tape that has a width that is slightly wider than the lit-like opening and that is provided with a pipe for supplying abrasive material in the hole provided in the opening, so that the slit-like opening is closed over the slit-like opening. In addition, it is installed so as to reciprocate by sliding the upper surface of the ceiling of the processing chamber in accordance with the movement of the injection nozzle and piping, and the sealing tape is pulled to the indoor side by the negative pressure in the processing chamber. It is characterized in that it is brought into close contact with the opening.
[0010]
In the sandblasting apparatus having the above configuration, in order to move the sealing tape in synchronization with the reciprocating motion of the abrasive supply piping system, both ends of the sealing tape are wound and sealed in accordance with the operating direction of the injection nozzle. The tape for take-up may be wound and unwound, or the tape for sealing may be formed into a ring shape and the tape for sealing may be rotated in accordance with the operation direction of the spray nozzle.
[0011]
Moreover, in the sandblasting apparatus having the above configuration, it is desirable to provide a spatula that contacts the back side of the sealing tape in the processing chamber.
[0012]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0013]
4 and 5 are schematic configuration diagrams showing a sandblasting apparatus according to the present invention. These drawings are obtained by changing parts of FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, and the same portions are denoted by the same reference numerals and description thereof is omitted.

[0018]
In the illustrated example, a sufficiently long sealing tape is used and both ends of the tape are wound by a motor. However, as another example, a ring-shaped sealing tape can be used. When the sealing tape is ring-shaped, if it is received by a pair of pulleys instead of the winding motor, the sealing tape can be operated in accordance with the reciprocating motion of the injection nozzle. In this case, since the pipe of the injection nozzle moves the sealing tape, a winding motor is not necessary. However, it is necessary to take measures such as detouring so as not to cause interference with the injection nozzle piping.
[0019]
Here, the sand blasting apparatus originally employs a configuration in which the abrasive material sprayed by the spray nozzle of the processing chamber is circulated and used, and the processing chamber has a negative pressure from the outside in order to suck the abrasive material into the circulation path. . Therefore, the sealing tape is drawn indoors by the negative pressure and is in close contact with the slit-shaped opening.

Never give.
[0022]
In addition, the sealing tape may be wound at both ends, and the sealing tape may be wound and unwound in accordance with the operation direction of the injection nozzle, or the sealing tape may be formed into a ring shape and the operation of the injection nozzle. By configuring the sealing tape to rotate in accordance with the direction, it is possible to prevent the sealing tape from slackening, and therefore it is possible to perform processing with the slit-shaped opening always sealed.
[0023]
Also, by providing a spatula in contact with the back side of the sealing tape in the processing chamber, the abrasive material adhering to the back side of the sealing tape is scraped off, so that it is taken out of the processing chamber and contaminates the surroundings. There is nothing.
