[Background of the invention]
Field of Invention:
The present invention relates to a rust-proofing treatment for circular or groove-shaped openings constructed on an existing pipe with indefinite water.
[0002]
Conventional technology:
Conventionally, a continuous water valve insertion method for forming an opening in an existing pipe under constant water, inserting a gate valve body through the opening, and blocking the flow of water in the pipe is well known (USP3 , 948,282, USP4,516,598).
In such a construction method, after the valve is inserted, the flow of water is cut off by the gate valve body, and if the intended operation such as changing the piping is performed, the gate valve body becomes unnecessary, so the gate valve body is removed (removed). There is a case. In such a case, since the opening is formed by drilling or cutting, rust prevention treatment is not performed.
[0003]
In water supply work of 25 mm or less, rust prevention treatment is performed by caulking and inserting a copper hollow bush into such an opening. However, such a rust-proofing process requires a process of caulking and expanding the bush, and therefore cannot be applied to large diameters such as water distribution works (φ50 or more). Moreover, since the said opening is not sealed, a construction method becomes complicated.
[0004]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a rust preventive treatment tool and method that can be applied to water distribution work (φ50 or more) and can close an opening.
[0005]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
In order to achieve the above object, the rust preventive tool of the present invention is a continuous water work for sealing a circular or groove-shaped opening over a range of an angle slightly smaller than 180 ° to 180 ° in the circumferential direction of an existing pipe. It is a rust preventive tool. The rust preventive tool has a shape corresponding to the opening and does not stop the flow of water in the existing pipe (not a valve body). The rust preventive tool includes a pressure-contact portion made of an elastomer that is in pressure contact with the cut surface of the hole substantially over the entire circumference, and a rigid body portion that is integral with the pressure-contact portion and has rigidity against water pressure acting on the hole. It has.
The circular opening can be formed by a known hole saw. The groove-shaped opening can be formed by an end mill or a milling cutter.
In the present invention, the “rigid portion” is generally formed of a metal such as ductile cast iron, steel, or stainless steel.
[0006]
Such a rust preventive tool can be housed in a sealed case together with the following gate valve body to constitute a rust preventive tool inserting device.
Here, the gate valve body enters the existing pipe through the opening to stop the flow of water in the existing pipe. On the other hand, the sealed case accommodates the rust preventive tool and the gate valve body and is divided into a plurality of parts in the circumferential direction of the existing pipe.
[0007]
On the other hand, the continuous water construction method of the present invention includes an enclosing step, a hole forming step, a water stopping step, a removal step, and a sealing step, which will be described below, using the rust preventive tool insertion device and the like.
In the surrounding step, a part of the existing pipe is surrounded in an airtight state by a sealing case divided into a plurality in the circumferential direction of the existing pipe.
In the hole forming step, a circular or groove-shaped opening is formed in the sealed case in the circumferential direction of the existing pipe over a range of angles slightly smaller than 180 ° to 180 °.
In the water stop step, a gate valve body is caused to enter the existing pipe through the opening, and the flow of water in the existing pipe is stopped by the gate valve body.
In the extraction step, the gate valve body is extracted from the opening.
In the sealing step, a pressure contact portion made of an elastomer that is in contact with the cut (metal) surface of the opening substantially over the entire circumference, and a rigidity that resists the water pressure acting on the opening integrally with the pressure contact portion. A rust preventive tool having a rigid body portion is fitted into the opening.
[0008]
The pipe structure of the present invention is obtained by such a continuous water construction method.
That is, the pipe structure of the present invention corresponds to an existing pipe having an opening formed on a side surface, which is formed by being cut out over a range of angles slightly smaller than 180 ° to 180 ° in the circumferential direction of the existing pipe, and the opening. And a rust preventive tool that does not stop the flow of water in the existing pipe. The rust preventive tool includes a pressure-contact portion made of an elastomer that is in pressure contact with the cut surface of the hole substantially over the entire circumference, and a rigid body portion that is integral with the pressure-contact portion and has rigidity against water pressure acting on the hole. It has.
In addition, although the said rust preventive tool may be fixed in the sealed case while being accommodated in the sealed case, it may be fixed to an existing pipe with a band and the sealed case may be removed.
[0009]
In the present invention, as the “elastomer”, a gel, an uncrosslinked resin, a resin sponge, or the like can be employed in addition to rubber.
[0010]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, since it is not necessary to expand the copper bush, the present invention can be applied to water distribution work having a large diameter. Moreover, since the rust preventive tool is provided with a rigid body portion that closes the opening, it is easy to attach the plate flange after closing.
