Description
【0001】

[0002]
[Prior art]
FIG. 2 is a block diagram showing an example of a conventional optical character reader (hereinafter referred to as “OCR”).

[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the conventional OCR has the following problems.
When a background print with a relatively dark print overlaps with the background pattern, such as a bankbook, the level difference between the printed character and the show-through + background pattern is reduced, making it difficult to detect the line on which the character is printed. Become. In particular, when the printing ink is thin, there is a problem that a printed line cannot be identified. For this reason, in a device that reads a form or a passbook, such as a bank terminal, in addition to a color sensor for reading the letters and imprints of the form, an infrared ray is used to reliably detect passbook page marks and printed lines. A sensor is used in combination, and there is a problem that the scale of the apparatus becomes large.
[0008]
The present invention solves the problems of the prior art and provides a print detection device capable of detecting printing on a passbook or the like using a color image sensor.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, a first invention of the present invention is a print detection apparatus, wherein a color image sensor that separates an image of an image into pixels of different colors and reads the image, and the color image sensor reads the image. Color determination means for identifying achromatic and chromatic pixels from an image, and a reference that is printed at a density that is a determination criterion for the presence or absence of printing, is read by the color image sensor, and is determined as an achromatic color by the color determination means A reference value generation unit that generates a determination reference value of a print density based on a frequency distribution of pixel density of a medium; and an image of a passbook to be read that has been read by the color image sensor and determined to be achromatic And a print determining means for determining the presence or absence of printing by comparing the density of the pixels constituting the above with the determination reference value.
[0012]
Then, based on the frequency distribution of the pixel density of each passbook color that has been read by the color image sensor and determined to be chromatic by the color determination means, the density of the passbook background color is detected, and the detected background color Reference value correction means for correcting the determination reference value based on another density is provided. Further, the print determination unit is configured to determine whether or not the passbook is printed according to the determination reference value corrected by the reference value correction unit.
[0016]
According to the first invention, the following operation is performed.
First, a reference medium on which printing is performed with a density that is a determination criterion for the presence or absence of printing is read by a color image sensor, and a determination reference value is generated based on a frequency distribution of pixel density by a reference value generation unit.
[0017]
Next, the passbook to be read is read by the color image sensor, and the color of the read pixel is determined by the color determination means. The reference value correction means detects the density of the background pattern for each color of the passbook based on the density of each pixel color, and corrects the determination reference value based on this. The print determination means determines whether the passbook is printed according to the corrected determination reference value.
[0018]
In the second invention, the reference value correcting means of the first invention calculates the frequency distribution of the pixel density of the copy-forgery-inhibited pattern based on the area signal for dividing the reading area of the bankbook, and for each divided area, The determination reference value is corrected according to the frequency distribution.
[0019]
According to the second invention, the following operation is performed in the reference value correcting means of the first invention.
For example, when an area signal for dividing the reading area of the passbook is given to the reference value correction means from the passbook transport mechanism or the like, the frequency distribution of the pixel density of the background pattern of the passbook is calculated based on this area signal. For each divided area, the determination reference value is corrected according to the calculated frequency distribution.

【The invention's effect】
As described above in detail, according to the first aspect of the invention, the reference value generating means for generating the determination reference value based on the frequency distribution of the pixel density of the reference medium read by the color image sensor is provided. Further, color determination means for determining achromatic pixels among the passbook pixels read by the color image sensor is provided. Thereby, the print on the passbook or the like can be detected by comparing the density of the achromatic pixel of the passbook with the determination reference value.
[0047]
In addition, since it has a reference value correction means that corrects the judgment reference value based on the density of the background color of the passbook, it is more reliable to print on the passbook etc. regardless of the color or density of the background Can be detected.
[0048]
According to the second aspect of the invention, the correction value is obtained for each bankbook area, and the reference value correction means for correcting the determination reference value based on the correction value is provided. As a result, even in a passbook having areas with different tint block colors and densities, printing can be reliably detected.
