Description
【0001】
本発明は、PHS(Personal Handy phone System)等の無線通信システムに用いる無線中継装置に関するものである。
【0002】
TDMA−TDD(Time Division Multi Access-Time Division Duplex)方式が採用されている。

の内でRSSIが最大となる基地局CSn(n=2,3,…)

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a wireless relay device used in a wireless communication system such as a PHS (Personal Handy phone System).
[0002]
[Prior art]
Currently, a 4-channel multiplexed TDMA-TDD (Time Division Multi Access-Time Division Duplex) system is adopted as a wireless communication system between a PHS (second generation cordless telephone system) base station and a mobile station. . In the above method, one frame having a time length of 5 msec is set as a unit of a transmission signal in one base station, and one frame is divided into eight equal one slot (time length 0.625 msec). Yes. Then, 4 slots in one frame are allocated to downlink transmission signals from the base station to the mobile station, and the remaining 4 slots are allocated to uplink transmission signals from the mobile station to the base station. That is, one base station can theoretically process communications with up to four mobile stations simultaneously. One slot contains 160-bit data, and 160-bit data is transmitted in half duplex every 5 msec between one mobile station and the base station. If viewed per unit time, it is 32 kbit. A communication speed of / sec can be obtained.
[0003]
By the way, in PHS, a radio frequency of 1.9 GHz band is used. For example, since radio waves of a base station installed outdoors are difficult to reach a mobile station in a building, an outdoor base station and an indoor mobile station Conventionally, a wireless relay device (relay station) that relays each transmission radio wave has been used (see, for example, Patent Document 1). This wireless relay device relays a control channel (CCH) from one base station that maximizes the reception strength (electric field strength) of the radio wave transmitted from the base station at the initial setting after startup to the mobile station. It was.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional wireless relay device, when there is a communication start request (link channel establishment request) from a mobile station, if there is no available slot in the base station that is the standby destination, another base station that has a free slot is assigned. Since it was necessary to search, the process for establishing the link channel was complicated, and the time required for establishing the link channel was long.
[0006]
In recent years, with the spread of the Internet, there is an increasing demand for a wireless communication system in which a large number of users can perform simultaneous and high-speed communication. In the above-described PHS, not only conventional circuit-switched communication but also packet-switched Base stations and mobile stations that support communication (packet communication) are provided. In such packet communication, one mobile station communicates with a plurality of base stations in different slots so that a higher communication speed than when communicating with one base station (for example, four base stations and In the case of packet communication, a maximum communication speed of 32 × 4 = 128 kbit / sec) can be obtained. However, since the conventional radio relay apparatus can only relay the control channel and information channel (TCH) of one base station, the communication speed cannot be improved by packet communication via the radio relay apparatus.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned object, and the object thereof is to simplify processing when starting communication between a base station and a mobile station and to reduce the time taken to start communication. An object of the present invention is to provide a wireless relay device capable of

[0021]
According to the present invention, since the control means controls the first and second wireless communication means and a plurality of base stations relay the control channel using different slots to the mobile station, the slot is assigned to one base station. If there is no free space, communication can be started immediately using a free slot of another base station, and the processing when starting communication between the base station and the mobile station can be simplified compared to the conventional example. At the same time, the time required to start communication can be shortened. Further, when synchronization is lost, synchronization loss can be eliminated by matching the synchronization of the radio signal with the control channel of another relay destination base station. In addition, a reduction in communication speed can be suppressed by using another base station as a relay destination instead of the out of synchronization base station.

The timings of the radio signal transmitted / received from and the radio signal transmitted / received from the second radio communication means are set to the first base station, the second base station, the third base station, or the fourth base station. Among them, a function of synchronizing with a control channel included in a radio signal received from a base station having a maximum radio signal reception level is provided, and in a state where a control channel from a synchronization destination base station cannot be received in the standby state. Shows the timing of the radio signal transmitted / received from the first radio communication unit and the radio signal transmitted / received from the second radio communication unit from the base station having the highest radio signal reception level among other relay base stations. Synchronize with the control channel included in the received radio signal, and the reception level of the radio signal among other base stations transmitting the control channel in the time slot in which the control channel from the synchronization destination base station can no longer be received is Since it has a function to select the largest base station as a new relay destination and resume relay processing, there is no slot in one base station. If there is not, communication can be started immediately using an empty slot of another base station, and processing when starting communication between the base station and the mobile station can be simplified and communication can be performed compared to the conventional example. The time taken to start can be reduced. Further, when synchronization is lost, synchronization loss can be eliminated by matching the synchronization of the radio signal with the control channel of another relay destination base station. In addition, a reduction in communication speed can be suppressed by using another base station as a relay destination instead of the out of synchronization base station.

When the wireless signal from the base station is received by the first wireless communication means, the received data is relayed and transmitted from the second wireless communication means to the mobile station by the wireless signal, and the mobile station Control means for performing a relay process of relaying the received data from the first wireless communication means to the base station using the wireless signal when receiving the wireless signal from the second wireless communication means,
One of the plurality of time slots is used as a control channel for reporting control information from the base station to the mobile station, or transferring information necessary for call connection between the base station and the mobile station,
The control means relays and transmits the control channel included in the radio signal received from the first base station using the first time slot as a radio signal, and is included in the radio signal received from the second base station. Is relayed by radio signal using the second time slot, the control channel included in the radio signal received from the third base station is relayed by radio signal using the third time slot, and the fourth base station is transmitted. Comprising a relay processing function for relaying the control channel included in the radio signal received from the radio signal using the fourth time slot,
In the standby state, the control means sets the timing of the radio signal transmitted / received from the first radio communication means and the radio signal transmitted / received from the second radio communication means to the first base station, the second base station, or the second base station. A base station that is synchronized with the control channel included in the radio signal received from the base station having the maximum radio signal reception level among the three base stations or the fourth base station. In the state where the control channel cannot be received from the first wireless communication means, the timing of the wireless signal transmitted and received from the first wireless communication means and the timing of the wireless signal transmitted and received from the second wireless communication means are wirelessly transmitted among other relay base stations. Synchronize with the control channel included in the radio signal received from the base station with the maximum signal reception level, and receive the control channel from the synchronization destination base station. That the reception level of a radio signal in the other base station transmitting a control channel in can not since the time slot is a function resumes relay processing by selecting as the new relay destination base station with the maximum Characteristic wireless relay device
