【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、ケース内に両面ディスクを収納したディスクカートリッジに関し、その誤消去防止切換機構に係わる。

【従来の技術】
従来から、光ディスク、磁気ディスク等は、埃や塵、傷、汚れを防ぎ、記録や再生の信頼性を保障するために、ケース内にディスクを収納するカートリッジ形式で用いられてきた。そして、このケースには、ディスクに記録済みの情報を誤って消去したり、書き換えたりしないように、誤消去防止切換機構が設けられている。近年、ディスクに要求される記録容量が大きくなるに伴い、ディスクの両面に記録する両面ディスクが用いられる。この両面ディスクのディスクカートリッジにおいても、ディスクに記録済みの情報を保護するために誤消去防止切換機構が設けられている。

かかる誤消去防止切換機構の第1従来例としては、ケースの表面と裏面とにそれぞれ記録又は消去の可否を検出するための検出孔が設けられ、この各検出孔を別個にそれぞれ開閉する表面側開閉部材及び裏面側開閉部材が設けられている。そして、この表面側開閉部材及び裏面側開閉部材を別々に操作することによって両面の検出孔を別々にそれぞれ開閉できるものである。

又、第2従来例としては、図16及び図17に示す特開平7−272392号公報に開示されたものがある。図16及び図17において、ケース50の表面と裏面とにそれぞれ記録又は消去の可否を検出するための検出孔51,52が設けられ、この各検出孔51,52を開閉できる単一の開閉部材53がケース50内にスライド自在に設けられている。この開閉部材53の操作部53aはケース50の背面の開口部54より露出されている。操作部53aを操作することによって開閉部材53がスライドして両面の検出孔51,52を同時に開閉できる。つまり、両面の検出孔51,52が共に閉じ、又は共に開く位置に位置されるものである。

ところで、誤消去防止切換機構には以下のような要求がある。第1としてディスク両面に跨がって長時間(大量)の情報を記録した場合には、両面の検出孔を一操作で同時に記録・消去禁止に切り換えできることである。第2としてディスク両面に同時記録するシステムに使用する場合には、両面の検出孔を一操作で同時に記録・消去禁止に切り換えできることである。第3として安全を期するため、記録・消去禁止に切り換えるときには、両面の検出孔を一操作で同時に切り換え、記録済みの情報を消去したり書き換えたりするときには、記録・消去可能状態に片面ずつ確かめながら切り換えできることである。第4として、もちろん、片面ずつ別々に記録・消去禁止状態と記録・消去可能状態とに切り換えできることである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、前記第1従来例では、両面の検出孔を一操作で開閉できないため、第1〜第3の要求に応えることができない。又、前記第2従来例では、両面の検出孔を一操作で開閉できるが、両面の検出孔を同じ開閉状態にしかできないため、第3及び第4の要求に応えることができない。

そこで、本発明は、前記した課題を解決すべくなされたものであり、上記第1〜第4の要求を満たすべく、両面を同じ記録・消去禁止状態又は記録・消去可能状態に一操作で同時に切り換え操作でき、且つ、片面ずつ別々に記録・消去禁止状態又は記録・消去可能状態に切り換え操作できる誤消去防止切換機構を備えたディスクカートリッジを提供することを目的とする。

又、本発明は、上記第1〜第4の要求を満たすべく、両面を同じ記録・消去禁止状態に一操作で同時に切り換え操作でき、且つ、片面ずつ別々に記録・消去禁止状態又は記録・消去可能状態に切り換え操作できると共に、両面を同じ記録・消去可能状態に一操作で同時に切り換え操作できない誤消去防止切換機構を備えたディスクカートリッジを提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
請求項1の発明は、両面に記録できるディスクが内部に回転自在に収納され、表裏両面から前記ディスクへの記録又は消去が可能なケースと、このケースの表面と裏面のそれぞれに開口する検出孔を有し、この両面の検出孔をそれぞれ開閉するべく表面側開閉部材及び裏面側開閉部材を記録・消去可能位置と記録・消去禁止位置との間で移動自在に設けた誤消去防止切換機構とを備えたディスクカートリッジにおいて、前記表面側開閉部材及び前記裏面側開閉部材はそれぞれ操作部を有し、この双方の操作部は上下に並んだ位置で前記ケースの背面に開口された操作用開口部より外部に共に露出され、前記双方の操作部における記録・消去可能位置と記録・消去禁止位置とになる操作位置が左右方向で同じ位置に設定されたことを特徴とする。

請求項3の発明は、両面に記録できるディスクが内部に回転自在に収納され、表裏両面から前記ディスクへの記録又は消去が可能なケースと、このケースの表面と裏面のそれぞれに開口する検出孔を有し、この両面の検出孔をそれぞれ開閉するべく表面側開閉部材及び裏面側開閉部材を記録・消去可能位置と記録・消去禁止位置との間で移動自在に設けた誤消去防止切換機構とを備えたディスクカートリッジにおいて、前記表面側開閉部材及び前記裏面側開閉部材はそれぞれ操作部を有し、この双方の操作部は前記ケースの表面及び裏面にそれぞれ開口された操作用開口部より外部に共に露出されると共に、前記誤消去防止切換機構には前記ケースの背面に開口された操作用開口部より外部に露出する共通操作部を有する共通開閉部材を設け、この共通開閉部材は中立位置を中間として一方側の共通記録・消去可能位置と他方側の共通記録・消去禁止位置との間で移動自在に設けられ、前記共通開閉部材の中立位置では前記表面側開閉部材及び前記裏面側開閉部材の記録・消去可能位置と記録・消去禁止位置間の移動をそれぞれ許容し、前記共通開閉部材の中立位置から共通記録・消去可能位置への移動によって前記表面側開閉部材及び前記裏面側開閉部材を共に記録・消去可能位置に位置させ、前記共通開閉部材の中立位置から共通記録・消去禁止位置への移動によって前記表面側開閉部材及び前記裏面側開閉部材を共に記録・消去禁止位置に位置させることを特徴とする。

図1において、ディスクカートリッジ1は、ディスク2と、このディスク2を収納する偏平方形状のケース3と、このケース3に装着されたシャッタ4とから主に構成されている。

ディスク2は、両面が記録・再生面として構成された両面ディスクであり、通常は表面(A面)を下にしてケース3に収納される。

ケース3は下側ケース部材(特に符号を付さず)と上側ケース部材(特に符号を付さず)とが互いの接合面で突合わされた状態で接合され、ケース3の表面3aと裏面3bとには開口部5がそれぞれ開口されている。この開口部5は、ディスク2にアクセスして情報を記録・再生するヘッド(ピックアップ)が挿入されるヘッド用開口部分と、ディスク2を回転駆動する駆動軸(ターンテーブル)が挿入される駆動用開口部分とから成る。このケース3の表面3aと裏面3bとは、表裏面を表す識別マーク(図示せず)等を除いて同形状に設けられており、表面3aと裏面3bの両面から使用できるように構成されている。

シャッタ4は、ケース3の表面3aに当接する上面部(特に符号を付さず)と、ケース3の裏面3bに当接する下面部(特に符号を付さず)と、これらを連結し、ケース3の前面3cに略当接する前面部(特に符号を付さず)とから構成されており、開口部5を塞ぐ閉位置(図1の位置)と開口部5を解放する開位置との間で両方向にスライド自在に設けられている。シャッタ4の両側には、一対のバネ(図示せず)が掛止され、この一対のバネによって閉位置側に付勢されている。

又、ディスクカートリッジ1には誤消去防止切換機構10が備えられている。この誤消去防止切換機構10は、図2〜図4に示すように、ケース3の表面3aと裏面3bとにそれぞれ開口する検出孔11,12を有する。ケース3の表面3aの検出孔11はディスク2の裏面(B面)用であり、ケース3の裏面3bの検出孔12はディスク2の表面(A面)用である。そして、検出孔12は表面側開閉部材13によって開閉され、検出孔11は裏面側開閉部材14とによって開閉されている。また、表面側開閉部材13と裏面側開閉部材14は、ケース3の背面壁15とこの背面壁15に近接して平行に配置された内側壁部16との間のスライドスペースで左右方向にスライド自在に配置されている。表面側開閉部材13はその一端側にスライドスペースと略同一寸法の厚みの閉塞部13aを有し、この閉塞部13aの箇所以外はスライドスペースの略半分の厚みで上方位置に配置されている。裏面側開閉部材14はその一端側にスライドスペースと略同一寸法の厚みの閉塞部14aを有し、この閉塞部14aの箇所以外はスライドスペースの略半分の厚みで下方位置に配置されている。

次に、上記ディスクカートリッジ1の誤消去防止切換機構10の作用を説明する。図2の記録・消去可能位置にあって、操作者が双方の操作部13d,14dを共に例えば指で図2(A),(B)の矢印N方向に押圧すると、表面側開閉部材13と裏面側開閉部材14が共にスライドして、各貫通孔17,18が検出孔12,11の位置に一致する記録・消去禁止位置(図3(A),(B)の位置)に移動する。反対に、図3の記録・消去禁止位置にあって、操作者が双方の操作部13d,14dを共に例えば指で図3(A),(B)の矢印M方向に押圧すると、表面側開閉部材13と裏面側開閉部材14が共にスライドして、各閉塞部13a,14aが各検出孔12,11を塞ぐ記録・消去可能位置(図2(A),(B)の位置)に移動する。

又、図2の記録・消去可能位置にあって、操作者が下方の操作部14dのみを例えば指で図2(A),(B)の矢印N方向に押圧すると、裏面側開閉部材14のみがスライドして貫通孔18が検出孔11の位置に一致する記録・消去禁止位置に移動し、図4に示すディスクA面で記録・消去可能、ディスクB面で記録・消去禁止位置となる。反対に、図3の記録・消去禁止位置にあって、操作者が上方の操作部13dのみを例えば指で図3(A),(B)の矢印M方向に押圧すると、表面側開閉部材13のみがスライドして閉塞部13aが検出孔12を塞ぐ記録・消去可能位置に移動し、図4に示すディスクA面で記録・消去可能、ディスクB面で記録・消去禁止位置となる。又、ディスクA面で記録・消去禁止、ディスクB面で記録・消去可能位置とする場合には上記と逆の操作を行えば良い。

以上より、表面側開閉部材13及び裏面側開閉部材14は、双方の操作部13d,14dを同時に操作できるため、両面を同じ記録・消去禁止状態又は記録・消去可能状態に一操作で同時に切り換え操作でき、又、各操作部13d,14dを別々に操作できるため、片面ずつ別々に記録・消去禁止状態又は記録・消去可能状態に切り換え操作できる。従って、第1としてディスク両面に跨がって長時間(大量)の情報を記録した場合には、両面の検出孔11,12を一操作で同時に記録・消去禁止に切り換えできること、第2としてディスク両面に同時記録するシステムに使用する場合には、両面の検出孔11,12を一操作で同時に記録・消去禁止に切り換えできること、第3として安全を期するため、記録・消去禁止に切り換えるときには、両面の検出孔11,12を一操作で同時に切り換え、記録済みの情報を消去したり書き換えたりするときには、記録・消去可能状態に片面ずつ確かめながら切り換えできること、第4として、片面ずつ別々に記録・消去禁止状態と記録・消去可能状態とに切り換えできることの4つの要求全てに対応できる。

以上説明したように、請求項1の発明によれば、両面に記録できるディスクが内部に回転自在に収納され、表裏両面から前記ディスクへの記録又は消去が可能なケースと、このケースの表面と裏面のそれぞれに開口する検出孔を有し、この両面の検出孔をそれぞれ開閉するべく表面側開閉部材及び裏面側開閉部材を記録・消去可能位置と記録・消去禁止位置との間で移動自在に設けた誤消去防止切換機構とを備えたディスクカートリッジにおいて、前記表面側開閉部材及び前記裏面側開閉部材はそれぞれ操作部を有し、この双方の操作部は上下に並んだ位置で前記ケースの背面に開口された操作用開口部より外部に共に露出され、前記双方の操作部における記録・消去可能位置と記録・消去禁止位置とになる操作位置が左右方向で同じ位置に設定されたので、双方の操作部を同時に操作できるため、両面を同じ記録・消去禁止状態又は記録・消去可能状態に一操作で同時に切り換え操作でき、又、各操作部を別々に操作できるため、片面ずつ別々に記録・消去禁止状態又は記録・消去可能状態に切り換え操作できる。従って、第1としてディスク両面に跨がって長時間(大量)の情報を記録した場合には、両面の検出孔を一操作で同時に記録・消去禁止に切り換えできること、第2としてディスク両面に同時記録するシステムに使用する場合には、両面の検出孔を一操作で同時に記録・消去禁止に切り換えできること、第3として安全を期するため、記録・消去禁止に切り換えるときには、両面の検出孔を一操作で同時に切り換え、記録済みの情報を消去したり書き換えたりするときには、記録・消去可能状態に片面ずつ確かめながら切り換えできること、第4として、片面ずつ別々に記録・消去禁止状態と記録・消去可能状態とに切り換えできることの4つの要求全てに対応できる。
