BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an automatic faucet in which a sensor detects the presence of a hand or the like and automatically spouts water from a spout, and more particularly to an automatic faucet characterized by technical means for improving usability.
[0002]
[Prior art and problems to be solved by the invention]
Conventionally, a sensor that detects a detection target, a water supply valve, and a control unit that performs water discharge from the water outlet and stops water discharge by controlling the water supply valve based on detection / non-detection by the sensor. An automatic faucet that automatically discharges water when a detection object such as a hand is presented in the area and automatically stops discharging water when a hand or the like is drawn from the detection area is widely used in public toilets and the like.
[0003]
There are various types and forms of such automatic faucets. For example, Patent Document 1 below discloses a retrofit automatic faucet attached to a water discharge pipe of an existing faucet device.
[0004]
This type of automatic water faucet automatically stops water discharge even when the sensor detects a hand or the like when the time limit for continuous water discharge from the start of normal water discharge expires.
The time limit is usually set to about 1 minute, for example. This is because one minute is sufficient for the time required for hand washing.
[0005]
By the way, when such an automatic faucet is installed at home, the usage of the automatic faucet varies.
For example, it can be used in such a way that water from the water outlet is received in the container and water is stored, or washing is performed by water discharged from the water outlet.
[0006]
At this time, for example, if water discharge from the water outlet stops in about 1 minute from the start of water discharge, the hand or container is once removed from the detection area, and then the hand or container is again inserted into the detection area to discharge water. Must be resumed.
Such usage is cumbersome and troublesome, and in this sense, the conventional automatic faucet still has room for improvement in terms of usability.
[0007]
Some automatic water faucets have a push button switch for manual operation, but this push button switch is used for water discharge operation and water stop operation. It is not something that will be done for a long time.
Specifically, water discharge is started by pressing a pushbutton switch, and then water discharge is stopped by pressing a pushbutton switch. The water discharge was stopped.
[0008]
[Patent Document 1]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 5-295572
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The automatic faucet of the present invention has been devised to solve such problems.
Thus, according to the first aspect of the present invention, (a) a sensor for detecting a detection target, (b) a water supply valve, and (c) controlling the operation of the water supply valve based on detection / non-detection by the sensor. Expiration of the limit time in an automatic faucet equipped with a control unit that causes water discharge from the water discharge port and water discharge stop, and that stops water discharge when the continuous water discharge time from the start of water discharge expires. the water discharge Ri Oh the reset operation section for resetting a timer means to stop providing, by the operation of the reset operating section, while subsequently continued spouting from the spouting port, the timer means again the continuous spouting time It is characterized by starting to count from zero .
[0010]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect of the present invention, a display unit for notifying the user of water discharge stoppage due to expiration of the limit time is provided.
[0011]
[Operation and effect of the invention]
As described above, according to the first aspect of the present invention, the automatic faucet is provided with a reset operation unit that resets the timer means for stopping water discharge when the limit time expires.
In this way, even if the detection area is not taken in and out to continue water discharge, the reset operation unit is simply operated and the water discharge is continued regardless of the expiration of the limit time. Can be made like that.
[0012]
This reset operation unit can be used in combination with a push button switch for manual discharge / water stop operation provided in the automatic faucet.
In this case, it is possible to reset the push button switch when the push button switch is pushed in a manner different from that when the water stops.
[0013]
Next , the automatic faucet is provided with a display unit for notifying the user of the stoppage of water discharge due to the expiration of the set time limit.
In this way, the user does not feel that the water has suddenly stopped while using the automatic faucet, and can know in advance that the water discharge will soon stop.
[0014]
Thus the user is allowed also be made to continue to continue the water discharge by manipulate Oh Brighter setting operation unit provided in the own Dosui plug based on the notice.
[0015]
Also, notice that the time limit has expired for the first time after the water discharge suddenly stops, and there is a period between the time when the water discharge is stopped and the time when the water discharge is resumed, such as when the detection object such as a hand or a container is put in and out of the detection area again. By knowing this before the time limit expires, it is possible to perform operations such as putting hands in and out of the detection area at the same time as water discharge stops and continuing water discharge. Thus, the usability of the automatic faucet is improved.
[0016]
Here the display section Ru can leave without the optical display unit.
It is Ru can keep without further an LED or a liquid crystal display unit of the display unit in this case.
Here the display section Ru can be provided in the vicinity of opening the water discharge.
[0017]
Also upon foretell the user of the water discharge stop by the display unit, the display unit, Ru can leave without shall be recognized by the user of the time to expiration of the limit time.
In this case, the display unit may display the remaining time until the limit time expires in numbers, or may display the elapsed time from the start of water discharge until now (the liquid crystal display unit If).
Further, when the display unit is an LED, it can be blinked, and in the initial stage, the blinking can be slow and the blinking can be gradually accelerated .
