【0001】

[0003]
Then, along with the rotation of the photosensitive drum, the surface of the photosensitive drum is uniformly charged by a charger, and then a laser beam based on predetermined image data is scanned at high speed on the charged surface from the scanner device. An electrostatic latent image is formed, and then the toner carried on the developing roller is supplied to the electrostatic latent image, whereby the electrostatic latent image is developed to form a visible image. Thereafter, the visible image carried on the photosensitive drum is transferred to the sheet while the sheet passes between the photosensitive drum and the transfer roller, whereby a predetermined image is formed on the sheet.

Further, in such an image forming apparatus, a discharge lamp is disposed opposite to the photosensitive drum on the downstream side of the position facing the transfer roller in the rotation direction of the photosensitive drum, and the discharge lamp is disposed on the surface of the photosensitive drum. By irradiating light, the surface potential of the photosensitive drum after transfer is made uniform, and for example, the subsequent capture of paper dust and the recovery of residual toner are ensured.
[0005]
On the other hand, in recent years, a photosensitive drum using a positively charge-dispersed single-layer photoreceptor in which a charge generating material is dispersed in a charge transport layer has been used as a positively chargeable photosensitive drum.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in a photosensitive drum in which such a positively charge-dispersed single-layer photoconductor is used, charge remains in the charge generation material dispersed in the charge transport layer due to light irradiation by the static elimination lamp, There is a case where the potential of the photosensitive drum becomes unstable. In particular, during the endurance, there is a problem that the amount of the remaining charge increases and the initial potential of the photosensitive drum is difficult to increase.
[0007]
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems. The object of the present invention is to provide a surface of a photosensitive drum after transfer even if it is a photosensitive drum using a positively charge-dispersed single-layer photosensitive member. The potential of the photosensitive drum can be stabilized while the potential of the photosensitive drum can be made uniform, and a stable image can be obtained by ensuring a good rise in the initial potential of the photosensitive drum even during durability. An object of the present invention is to provide an image forming apparatus that can be formed.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the invention described in
[0009]
According to such a configuration, the developer remaining on the photosensitive member after being transferred to the recording medium by the transfer means is recovered in a so-called cleaner-less manner by the developer carrier when facing the developer carrier. The If the developer remaining on the photosensitive member is collected by such a cleaner-less method, there is no need to provide a cleaning device such as a blade or a storage unit for waste toner. Reduction can be achieved.
Further, since a voltage can be applied to the conductive sheet from the charging means, it is not necessary to provide a means for applying a voltage to the conductive sheet, and the apparatus configuration can be further simplified.
In particular, in the image forming apparatus of the present invention, the surface of the photoconductor after transfer is first contacted with a conductive sheet to which a predetermined voltage is applied, and the electric potential of the surface of the photoconductor is made uniform, and Before facing the electrostatic latent image forming means, a conductive brush to which a voltage higher in absolute value than that of the conductive sheet comes into contact comes in contact with the paper powder adhering to the surface of the photoconductor. Therefore, the conductive brush can always capture paper dust by contact in a state where the surface potential of the photosensitive member is stable, so that stable paper powder can be captured. Since the developer can be recovered while the surface potential of the photoreceptor is always stable, the developer can be recovered stably.
In addition, when light is irradiated by a static elimination lamp as in the prior art, the potential of the photoconductor constituted by a positively charge-dispersed single-layer photoconductor becomes unstable. While making the surface potential of the photoconductor uniform after transfer, it is possible to stabilize the potential of the photoconductor, ensuring a good rise in the initial potential of the photoconductor even during durability, A stable image can be formed.
[0010]
The invention described in
[0011]
According to such a configuration, since the friction coefficient of the conductive sheet is equal to or smaller than the friction coefficient of the surface of the photosensitive member, after the visible image is transferred to the recording medium by the transfer unit, the photosensitive member The toner remaining on the surface can be made difficult to adhere to the conductive sheet in contact with the surface.
[0012]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the first or second aspect of the present invention, the conductive sheet is in contact with the surface of the photoconductor in a state where substantially no pressing force is applied. It is said.
[0013]
According to such a configuration, since the conductive sheet is in contact with the surface of the photoconductor in a state where substantially no pressing force is applied, the photoconductor after the visible image is transferred to the recording medium by the transfer unit. It is possible to prevent paper dust or the like adhering to the surface of the ink from adhering to the conductive sheet.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the first aspect of the present invention, the developer can be recovered satisfactorily without providing a cleaner device such as a blade or a waste toner storage unit by the so-called cleaner-less recovery. It is possible to simplify the device configuration, reduce the size, and reduce the cost.
Further, since the voltage can be applied from the charging means to the conductive sheet without providing a means for applying a voltage to the conductive sheet, the apparatus configuration can be further simplified.
In particular, in the image forming apparatus of the present invention, the conductive brush can contact and capture paper dust in a state where the potential of the surface of the photoreceptor is always stable. In addition, since the developer carrying member can always collect the developer in a state where the surface potential of the photoreceptor is stable, the developer can be collected stably.
Moreover, even for a photoconductor composed of a positively charge-dispersed single-layer photoconductor, the surface potential of the photoconductor after transfer can be made uniform and the potential of the photoconductor can be stabilized. It is possible to ensure a good rise in the initial potential of the photoreceptor and to form a stable image even during durability.
[0057]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, after the visible image is transferred to the recording medium by the transfer means, the toner remaining on the surface of the photoreceptor adheres to the conductive sheet in contact with the surface. Can be difficult. For this reason, it is possible to effectively prevent the remaining of the toner or the like from being accumulated on the conductive sheet, thereby inhibiting the uniformity of the surface potential of the photosensitive member by the conductive sheet.
[0058]
According to the invention described in claim 3, after the visible image is transferred to the recording medium by the transfer means, paper dust or the like attached to the surface of the photoreceptor is prevented from attaching to the conductive sheet. Can do. For this reason, it is possible to effectively prevent the paper sheet and the like from being accumulated on the conductive sheet from inhibiting the uniformity of the surface potential of the photoreceptor by the conductive sheet.
