[0008]
An object of this invention is to provide the power supply device which can perform arc re-firing reliably at the time of transfer from the positive polarity of the welding of a small electric current area | region to negative polarity.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The power supply device according to the present invention has a DC power supply. As this DC power source, for example, a commercial AC power source obtained by rectification and smoothing is used. A positive polarity voltage for flowing current from the base metal side to the torch side of a welding load consisting of a torch and a base material, and a first negative polarity voltage for flowing current from the torch side to the base material side alternately. A DC-AC converter converts a DC voltage of the DC power source into a changing AC voltage, and supplies the converted voltage to the welding load. The peak value of the first negative voltage over a period shorter than the period of the first negative voltage from the time when the AC voltage of the DC-AC converter shifts from the positive voltage to the first negative voltage. The superimposed negative power source generates a second negative voltage that changes sharply from a peak value larger than the peak value based on the AC power source or the DC power source, and supplies it to the welding load. Superimposed power supply and an auxiliary power source than the first negative voltage to generate a DC voltage having a large peak value of the peak value, and a switching means for conducting over a shorter period of time than the first negative voltage, Between the auxiliary power supply and the welding load, a current limiting resistor connected in series with the switching means and a differential circuit connected in parallel with the current limiting resistor and having a resistor are provided. The resistor of the differentiation circuit is selected to have a resistance value smaller than that of the current limiting resistor.
[0010]
In this power source device constructed in this way, the second negative voltage that changes sharply from a first negative voltage peak value is also greater than the peak value of the superimposed power is supplied to the welding load, the arc Ensure re-ignition of. Therefore, when the switching means is turned on, a current flows through a differentiation circuit including a resistor having a resistance value smaller than that of the current limiting resistor, and a large voltage is supplied to the welding load. If a differentiating circuit is not provided, the current flows through the current limiting resistor, so that a large voltage cannot be supplied to the welding load. Therefore, even if the voltage of the DC power supply or the AC power supply fluctuates and the voltage of the auxiliary power supply of the superimposed power supply decreases, it is possible to supply a larger voltage to the welding load than when only the current limiting resistor is provided. The arc can be re-ignited more reliably.
[0011]
The auxiliary power supply has a smoothing capacitor on its output side . When an auxiliary power supply with a smoothing capacitor is used and no differentiation circuit is provided, an integrating circuit is formed by the smoothing capacitor and the current limiting resistor, and the voltage to the welding load increases only slowly. In the invention, since the differentiation circuit is provided, the electric charge from the smoothing capacitor is supplied to the welding load via the differentiation circuit, so that the voltage of the welding load rises rapidly.
[0012]
The DC power supply can be an AC-DC converter that receives an AC voltage and converts the AC voltage into a DC voltage. In this case, the auxiliary power supply converts the AC voltage into a DC voltage having a peak value larger than the first negative voltage . The auxiliary power supply can also be a booster that boosts the DC voltage from the DC power supply.
