BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention includes a plurality of groups of variable voltage variable frequency inverters (hereinafter referred to as “VVVF inverters”) for a main power source and a group of constant voltage constant frequency inverters (hereinafter referred to as “CVCF inverters”) for an auxiliary power source. It is related with the power converter device made into the same system.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, for the purpose of improving the redundancy of a railway vehicle system, a plurality of VVVF inverters and one CVCF inverter are combined into one system, and when a CVCF inverter fails, the CVCF inverter is stopped and disconnected. There has been proposed a system in which one of a plurality of VVVF inverters is switched to a CVCF inverter for operation. FIG. 8 shows a circuit configuration of a conventional example of a power conversion device in such a railway vehicle system.

[0007]
This conventional example has been described with two VVVF inverters and one CVCF inverter having the smallest number of conversion circuits. However, practically, it is composed of four VVVF inverters and one CVCF inverter according to the vehicle system. There are systems, systems consisting of 8 VVVF inverters and 1 CVCF inverter.
[0008]
For example, when a system capable of switching from a VVVF inverter to a CVCF inverter is adopted for the locomotive system, a system configuration is made up of a plurality of VVVF inverters and one CVCF inverter in accordance with the number of axes of the locomotive. However, in a power-intensive system such as a locomotive, the capacity of the main motor is large, and a forced ventilation system using an electric blower is usually used to handle heat loss generated by the power conversion circuit that controls the main motor. .

FIG. 9 shows a conventional power converter in a locomotive system. In this conventional power conversion device, the arrangement of the

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the above conventional example, the switching operation of the VVVF inverter to the CVCF inverter due to the failure of the CVCF inverter has been described. However, in the forced ventilation method, it is necessary to consider the redundancy considering the failure of the electric blower. In other words, the electric blower has a rotating mechanism and is a part that requires maintenance, such as bearing wear and the need for lubrication. In order to ensure maximum redundancy as a locomotive system, A system that does not stop the locomotive in the event of a breakdown is required.
[0011]
However, the conventional power conversion device is a system having redundancy as described above for the failure of the inverter. On the other hand, when the electric blower fails, not only the CVCF inverter but also the VVVF inverter cannot be cooled, and the switching function is provided. Despite having this system, there was a problem that the entire locomotive system had to be stopped.
[0012]
The present invention has been made in view of such conventional problems, and provides a power conversion device that can ensure the redundancy of the entire system not only for an inverter failure but also for an electric blower failure. The purpose is to provide.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention of claim 1 comprises a plurality of groups of variable voltage variable frequency inverters used for a main power source during normal operation and a group of constant voltage constant frequency inverters used for an auxiliary power source, the constant voltage constant frequency In a power conversion device that disconnects an inverter when an abnormality occurs and switches one group of the variable voltage variable frequency inverters to a constant voltage constant frequency inverter and operates as an auxiliary power source, the power converter is shared by a plurality of electric blowers. The circuit elements constituting the inverters in the group are forcibly ventilated to separate the constant voltage constant frequency inverter used for auxiliary power during normal operation and the variable voltage variable frequency inverter used for auxiliary power during switching operation. It is the arrangement which cooled by the electric blower.
[0014]
In the power conversion device according to the first aspect of the invention, the circuit element of the inverter conversion unit cannot be cooled in the event of a failure of the electric blower forced to the CVCF inverter. The CVCF inverter and several VVVF inverters need to be disconnected from the system, and one group of the VVVF inverters is switched to the CVCF inverter for operation. Since forced ventilation is performed from the blower, redundancy for failure of the electric blower is ensured.
[0015]
The invention of claim 2 comprises a plurality of groups of variable voltage variable frequency inverters used for main power supply during normal operation and a group of constant voltage constant frequency inverters used for auxiliary power supply, wherein the constant voltage constant frequency In a power conversion device that disconnects an inverter when an abnormality occurs and switches one group of the variable voltage variable frequency inverters to a constant voltage constant frequency inverter and operates for an auxiliary power source, a plurality of groups are shared by a plurality of electric blowers The circuit elements constituting the inverter are forcibly ventilated, each of the electric blowers is forcibly ventilated to the same number of the variable voltage variable frequency inverters, and one of the electric fans is the constant voltage constant frequency Forced ventilation is also applied to the inverter, and a variable voltage variable frequency inverter cooled by an electric fan different from the electric fan is compensated for during switching operation. It is characterized in that a power source was arranged to switch to the constant-voltage constant-frequency inverters.
[0016]
In the power converter of the invention of claim 2, in the event of a failure of the electric blower forced through the CVCF inverter, the CVCF inverter cooled by the electric blower and a group of VVVF inverters are separated from the system, Since one group of VVVF inverters cooled by another electric blower is switched to the CVCF inverter and operated, redundancy for failure of the electric blower is ensured. In addition, by forcibly ventilating the same number of VVVF inverters with each electric blower, the number of types of electric blowers with the same performance can be prevented from increasing. Strictly speaking, the amount of cooling air required for the CVCF inverter for forced ventilation is large, but considering the air to be cooled and the locomotive equipment room, etc. It can be used individually.
[0017]
The invention of claim 3 comprises a plurality of groups of variable voltage variable frequency inverters used for main power supply during normal operation and a group of constant voltage constant frequency inverters used for auxiliary power supply, wherein the constant voltage constant frequency In a power conversion device that disconnects an inverter when an abnormality occurs and switches one group of the variable voltage variable frequency inverters to a constant voltage constant frequency inverter and operates for an auxiliary power source, a plurality of groups are shared by a plurality of electric blowers The circuit elements constituting the inverter are forcibly ventilated and each of the electric blowers forcibly ventilates the same number of the variable voltage variable frequency inverters, and the constant current is supplied in parallel from two of the electric blowers. The arrangement is such that forced ventilation is provided to the voltage constant frequency inverter.
[0018]
In the power conversion device according to the third aspect of the invention, a plurality of electric blowers are standardized in the same manner as the power conversion device according to the second aspect of the invention. Is shared by two electric blowers, it is easier to share with other electric blowers. Note that the airflow is halved by the failure of one of the two electric blowers that forcibly ventilate the CVCF inverter, but since the electric blower is operated with the output of the CVCF inverter, the load itself is reduced, and the CVCF Since the heat loss generated from the inverter is also reduced, the switching operation itself due to the failure of the electric blower becomes unnecessary.
[0019]
The invention of claim 4 comprises a plurality of groups of variable voltage variable frequency inverters used for main power supply during normal operation and a group of constant voltage constant frequency inverters used for auxiliary power supply, wherein the constant voltage constant frequency In a power conversion device that disconnects an inverter when an abnormality occurs and switches one group of the variable voltage variable frequency inverters to a constant voltage constant frequency inverter and operates for an auxiliary power source, a plurality of groups are shared by a plurality of electric blowers The circuit elements constituting the inverter are forcibly ventilated and each of the electric blowers forcibly ventilates the same number of the variable voltage variable frequency inverters, and the output of the inverter conversion unit in the constant voltage constant frequency inverter For a scroll such as a reactor or a transformer connected between the motor and an external load circuit, it is forced in parallel from two of the electric blowers. And wind, the cooling of the semiconductor element of the inverter conversion unit of the constant-voltage constant-frequency inverter is characterized in that the arrangement for forced draft from one of said electric blower.
[0020]
In the power conversion device according to the fourth aspect of the invention, in the event of a failure of the electric blower that performs forced ventilation to cool the circuit elements of the inverter conversion unit of the CVCF inverter, the forced ventilation is performed with the electric blower that is operating soundly. The group of VVVF inverters in which the operation is performed are switched to CVCF inverters, and the redundancy with respect to the failure of the electric blower is ensured in the same manner as the power converter of the invention of claim 1 or 2. In consideration of the cooling of the reactor, transformer, and other scrolls constituting the circuit elements of the CVCF inverter, the cooling air to these scrolls is halved due to the failure of the electric blower. However, as in the power converter of the invention of claim 3 In addition, the scroll itself can be cooled by reducing the load itself. In addition, the scroll has a high thermal time constant, and it takes time for half the air volume to appear as a difference in temperature rise. Considering that it is determined from the insulation life instead of being destroyed rapidly at that temperature as in the case of the semiconductor element, there is no problem in the switching operation during the period until replacement of the failed electric blower.
[0021]
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, there is provided the power converter according to any one of the first to fourth aspects, wherein a scroll such as a reactor or a transformer connected between an output of the inverter conversion unit of the constant voltage constant frequency inverter and an external load circuit is provided. In addition, the forced ventilation by the electric blower is not used, and the natural ventilation is arranged, and the redundancy for the failure of the electric blower only needs to consider the cooling of the semiconductor element of the inverter conversion unit, Similarly to the power conversion device according to the first to fourth aspects of the invention, redundancy can be ensured by switching operation of the VVVF inverter to the CVCF inverter.
[0022]
According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, in the power conversion device according to any one of the first to fifth aspects, the inverter is installed in an equipment room on a floor of a locomotive, and the electric blower is connected to a main drive for a vehicle to which an output of each inverter is connected. The locomotive system is characterized in that it is also used as an electric blower that cools the electric motor, and it is an electric blower that cools the large-capacity main motor of the locomotive. Overall, the required quantity of electric blowers can be optimized.
[0023]
The invention according to
[0024]
The invention according to claim 8 is the power conversion device according to claim 3 or 4, wherein the inverter is installed in an equipment room on the floor of a locomotive, and the electric blower is connected to the output of each inverter. In addition to being used as an electric blower for cooling the electric motor, the scroll such as the constant voltage constant frequency inverter, the reactor, or the transformer is arranged at substantially the center of the two electric blowers for cooling the electric fan. In order to take in the same amount of cooling air from each electric blower in parallel, it is necessary to avoid mutual influence at the portion where the cooling air merges. By using the portion where the cooling air is merged, the shape of the cooling wind tunnel from the electric blower to this merge portion can be matched, and air volume adjustment becomes easy.
