本発明は、劇場・ホール・スタジアム等の多人数の観客を収容する場所に設置して、座部をほぼ水平状態で使用し、ほぼ垂直状態で収納する椅子に関する。

本発明によると、上記課題は次のようにして解決される。
(1) ほぼ垂直に起立する背もたれ部と、ほぼ水平の使用状態とほぼ垂直の収納状態との間を回動可能とした座部とを有し、座部が常時収納状態の方向に付勢されている椅子において、座部を収納状態としたとき、座部と背もたれ部との対向部を、少なくとも上縁部と、両側縁部とで当接させるようにするとともに、座部と背もたれ部との当接する縁部の一方に、前記上縁部と両側縁部に連続する凹条を設け、同じく他方に、当接の際に、前記上縁部と両側縁部に設けた凹条に噛み合うようにした凸条を設ける。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の椅子の実施形態を、添付図面を参照しながら説明する。
