[Prior art]
In a developing device equipped in an image forming unit using an electrophotographic system, a two-component developer composed of toner and a magnetic carrier is supported on a developer carrier, and a magnetic brush is formed by a fixed magnetic pole inside the developer carrier. There is known a developing device that performs development. In this developing device, after the developer layer thickness is regulated by a developer regulating member such as a doctor blade, the developer carried on the developer carrying member is moved to the latent image carrying member by moving the surface of the developer carrying member. Transport to opposite development area. At that time, the developer is affected by centrifugal force or airflow in the developing device, and causes scattering of the carrier or toner (hereinafter referred to as “developing of the developer”). As a countermeasure against these problems, a developer scattering prevention member is generally attached so as to cover the developer layer after passing the restriction position of the developer restriction member. Examples of such a developing device include those disclosed in Patent Document 1 and
