ここで、Vdは液晶に印加される電圧、VdcはDC−DCコンバータ40より出力される電圧、Rsは直列抵抗、RESDは静電気防止回路がオンとなったときの非線形抵抗を示す。

Claims (16)
- 複数のスキャンラインと複数のデータラインとが交差する領域に形成され、画素電極と共通電極との間に形成されたOCBモード液晶キャパシタを含む画素回路と、
前記データラインに接続され、前記画素回路に静電気が発生することを防止する静電気防止回路と、
前記OCBモード液晶キャパシタの初期ベンド転移のための電圧を出力するDC−DCコンバータと、
前記DC−DCコンバータの電圧が印加され、前記共通電極に高電圧を伝達するための高電圧印加回路と、
を備えることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記高電圧印加回路は、前記DC−DCコンバータから出力された電圧によって電荷を充電するためのキャパシタと、
前記キャパシタの充電電圧に応じて出力電流の値が変化するトランジスタと、を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記高電圧印加回路は、前記DC−DCコンバータと前記キャパシタとの間に接続された抵抗を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記トランジスタは、ソース端子が前記DC−DCコンバータに接続され、ゲート端子が前記キャパシタに接続され、ドレイン端子が前記静電気防止回路に接続されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記トランジスタは、前記キャパシタの電圧が充電される間、前記出力電流を遮断することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記トランジスタは、前記キャパシタの充電完了後には、前記キャパシタに充電された電圧を前記静電気防止回路に伝達することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記高電圧印加回路は、前記DC−DCコンバータのベンド転移電圧が出力された後の経過時間に応じて、前記画素回路に印加される電流の量が変化することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記高電圧印加回路は、前記DC−DCコンバータのベンド転移電圧が出力される初期には高抵抗であり、時間が経過するに連れて抵抗値が減少することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記静電気防止回路は、ゲートとドレインとが接続されたトランジスタであり、前記ゲートに印加される一定の電圧以上でオンとなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記静電気防止回路は、前記ゲートに印加される一定の電圧以上で前記一定電圧が増加するに連れて抵抗値が減少することを特徴とする請求項10に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記一定の電圧は、10Vであることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記DC−DCコンバータは、15V〜30Vの電圧を出力することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記データラインは、前記DC−DCコンバータからベンド転移電圧が出力される間、グランドに接続されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記液晶キャパシタは、前記静電気防止回路と並列で接続されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記画素回路は、前記スキャンラインの選択電圧に応答して、前記データラインを介して伝達されるデータ電圧を前記画素電極に伝達するスイッチングトランジスタと、前記データ電圧を蓄積する蓄積キャパシタと、をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
