Description
The present invention relates to a plate glass processing method, and more particularly to a method of processing an edge portion of a plate glass using a chamfering wheel.
A plate glass for a door of a vehicle or the like is subjected to a polishing process on an edge portion. The polishing process includes a C surface process or R surface process (primary process) using a diamond wheel, and a finishing process (secondary process) using a chamfering wheel (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
The above polishing and electrode adhesion are both processing on the edge of the plate glass, but since the types of processing are completely different, there is a problem that they must be provided by different apparatuses and processes.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to realize a plate glass processing method in which edge edge polishing and electrode adhesion are simultaneously performed by the same apparatus.

According to the invention of claim 3 , the chamfering wheel has a hollow portion filled with a conductive substance and a hole communicating from the hollow portion to the sliding contact portion. It is easy to attach a conductive substance.
The best mode for carrying out the invention will be described below in detail with reference to the drawings. The present invention is not limited to the best mode for carrying out the invention. FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 conceptually show a sheet glass processing step according to an example method of the best mode for carrying out the present invention. 1 and 2 are process diagrams represented by a front view and a sectional view, respectively. The cross section is the AA cross section in FIG. The process proceeds in the order of (a), (b), (c), (d), (e).
The
By the primary processing, the edge portion of the
In the step (d), secondary processing of the edge portion of the
As the
As shown in an enlarged view in part (b) of FIG. 3, the
Since the
This state is schematically shown in FIG. That is, at the time of polishing in the step (d), the
Thus, since the conductive material for electrodes adheres to the edge part of the
FIG. 5 shows another example of the
The conductive material 232 is, for example, a conductive paint. Note that the conductive substance 232 is not limited to a conductive paint, and may be a metal powder, a liquid containing a metal powder, a metal paste, or a ceramic paste mainly composed of silver or the like. Further, the through hole 222 is not limited to a slit-like hole, and may be a hole having an appropriate shape such as a square hole 223 or a round hole 224 as shown in FIGS.
Since the
This state is schematically shown in FIG. That is, at the time of polishing in the step (d), the conductive material 232 discharged from the through hole 222 of the
