Description
[電極板]
本発明の電極板は、リチウムイオン電池用電極板、電気二重層キャパシタ用電極板、燃料電池用電極板等に適用され、いずれにしても巻き芯に長尺の電極板テープが巻き取られた形態を有する。以下にリチウムイオン電池用電極に関して詳しく述べるが、それに限らず、電気二重層キャパシタの場合は、そのキャパシタが集電体上に活物質層を設けた電極板を、複数枚の条件で積層させた構造であり、その電極板に適用できる。さらに、燃料電池の場合は、集電体に電極反応に必要な触媒、電極活物質等を含む電極触媒層を設けた電極板を使用して構成した構造であり、その電極板に適用できる。このように、長尺状(連続状)の集電体(電極基材)に活物質層が設けられた電極板で、巻上げ用コアに連続的に巻き取られたものであれば、特に限定されない。
[クッション材]
クッション材4としては、一般にスポンジ,発泡ウレタン,ガラスウールや発泡ゴム等が使用できる。クッション材は、電極板テープロールとフランジが直接に接することなく、電極板テープロールの側面が摩擦や、衝撃等で損傷しなように保護するものである。また、取り扱いや電極板テープロールと共に梱包された状態で、クッション材から粉等が落下しないようなものを、上記の材料の中から選定することが好ましい。粉等の異物が電極板に付着すると、電極板の性能の劣化につながるからである。
[フランジ]
フランジ5としては、強靭性、軽量性等の点で、ポリエチレンやポリプロピレン等の成形用樹脂により、加工したものが使用できる。特に、平行に配置された一対の熱可塑性樹脂製の薄板の間に複数のリブを介在させたような、住化プラスチック(株)製の商品名サンプライのようなポリプロピレン樹脂の軽量、高剛性である材料を使用することが好ましい。このように樹脂自体が強靭性を有し、かつリブを介して空間(空隙)を設け、さらに使用する熱可塑性樹脂が発泡していることが好ましく、これによりフランジの軽量化をより進めることができる。
[コアキャップ]
コアキャップ6としては、強靭性、軽量性等の点で、ポリエチレンやポリプロピレン等の成形用樹脂により、加工したものが使用できる。
[包装袋]
本発明の電極板テープロール梱包体では、少なくとも電極板テープロールがガスを封入して包装されたものである。その包装で用いられる材料は袋状で、使用する時には、予め所定の大きさで一方の辺は開口にして、残りの三方がシールされた袋を使用することが望ましい。但し、包装袋は三方シール方式に限らず、ピロー方式、ガゼット方式、テトラパック方式、スタンドパウチ方式等を採用することも可能である。
(電極板テープの作製)
電極板塗工液の材料として、活性炭粉末を85質量部、導電材を7質量部、SBR(スチレン−ブタジエンゴム)樹脂を5質量部、CMC(カルボキシメチルセルロース)を3質量部、分散媒体として水を300質量部の配合比で用い、プラネタリーミキサー((株)小平製作所製)にて30分間撹拌混合することにより、スラリー状の活物質を含む塗工液を得た。
正極塗工液の材料としては、1〜100μmの粒径を持つ平均粒径10μmのLiCoO2粉末を90質量部、導電材としてグラファイト粉末を5.0質量部、結着剤としてポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂(ネオフロンVDF、VP−850ダイキン工業(株)製)を5質量部、N−メチルピロリドン50質量部の配合比で用いた。これらの材料のうち、ポリフッ化ビニリデンをN−メチルピロリドンにて溶解して、予めワニスを作製し、得られたワニスに他の粉末材料を入れた後、プラネタリーミキサー((株)小平製作所製)にて30分間撹拌混合することにより、スラリー状の正極活物質を含む正極塗工液を得た。
(負極電極板テープの作製)
負極塗工液の材料として、グラファイト粉末を90質量部、ポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂(ネオフロンVDF、VP−850 ダイキン工業(株)製)を10質量部、分散媒体としてN−メチルピロリドンを80質量部の配合比で用い、正極塗工液を作製した場合と同様の分散機及び分散方法を用いて粉体を分散させ、スラリー状の負極塗工液を得た。

Claims (1)
- 巻き芯と、該巻き芯に巻き取られた長尺の電極板テープからなる電極板テープロールの両側面に、巻き芯の内周孔と、クッション材の孔と、フランジの孔の位置が合うように、クッション材を介してフランジを取り付け、各孔に嵌合する円筒部と鍔部からなるコアキャップをフランジ側の孔から円筒部を嵌め込み、
さらに少なくとも電極板テープロールがガスを封入して包装され、
かつ電極板テープロールが接地しないように、1対のフランジの外形を両方とも電極板テープロールの外形よりも大きくすることで、該一対のフランジが接地して電極板テープロールを懸架して、支持し、
前記コアキャップにはコアキャップの中心軸に平行方向のリブと垂直方向のリブとからなる部分的な突起形状が円筒部の外周面に形成され、該平行方向のリブにはテーパ形状が円筒部の先端部に形成され、該垂直方向のリブの高さは該平行方向のリブの高さよりも低いことを特徴とする電極板テープロールの梱包体。
