カラー画像形成装置としては、Acolor935(富士ゼロックス社製)を用いた。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electrophotographic transfer sheet used in a color image forming apparatus such as a color copying machine, a color printer, or a color facsimile to which an electrophotographic method is applied, and a color image forming apparatus using the same. Reduces the level difference of the image transferred onto the electrophotographic transfer sheet to improve the image quality, and prevents the end of the image receiving layer made of thermoplastic resin from protruding when the electrophotographic transfer sheet is fixed. The present invention relates to an electrophotographic transfer sheet that makes it possible, and a color image forming apparatus using the same.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as a color image forming apparatus such as a color copying machine or a color printer to which the electrophotographic method is applied, only one photosensitive drum is provided, and yellow (Y), magenta (M), magenta (M), Yellow (Y), magenta (M), cyan (C), black (BK), and the like are sequentially formed on the photosensitive drum by sequentially forming toner images of each color such as cyan (C) and black (BK). The toner images of the respective colors are transferred onto a transfer medium in a multiple manner, and then the toner images are heated and fixed on the transfer medium to form a color image. Further, as the color image forming apparatus, toner images of each color such as yellow (Y), magenta (M), cyan (C), black (BK), etc., which are sequentially formed on the photosensitive drum, are temporarily transferred to the intermediate transfer member. After multiple primary transfer onto the intermediate transfer member, the color toner images transferred onto the intermediate transfer body are secondarily transferred onto the transfer medium at once, and these toner images are heated onto the transfer medium. Some are configured to form a color image by fixing.
[0003]
Further, the color image forming apparatus includes a plurality of image forming units corresponding to respective colors such as yellow (Y), magenta (M), cyan (C), black (BK), and the like, and a photoreceptor of each image forming unit. The toner images of each color such as yellow (Y), magenta (M), cyan (C), black (BK), etc., which are sequentially formed on the drum, are transferred onto the transfer medium in multiple layers or once on the intermediate transfer member. After the multiple primary transfer, the toner images of each color transferred multiple times on the intermediate transfer member are collectively transferred onto the transfer medium, and then the toner images are heated to be transferred onto the transfer medium. Some are configured to form a color image by fixing.
[0004]
By the way, the color toner transferred / fixed on the transfer medium is usually constituted by dispersing or melt-mixing a colorant such as a pigment or dye in a binder resin, and the particle size is several μm to several tens μm. Set to Such color toner is transferred in a state where a plurality of layers are superimposed on coated paper such as plain paper or general printing paper, and these color toners are heated and melted in plain paper or general printing paper. A color image is formed on the coated paper. At that time, unevenness of about 10 to 100 μm, for example, is formed on the surface of the color image due to the height of the toner layer, and uneven gloss occurs. As a result, a color image formed on coated paper such as plain paper or general printing paper reflects the incident illumination light irregularly and appears to be inferior in gloss when observed with the naked eye.
[0005]
Therefore, in the method of forming a color image by interposing a transparent resin layer on the surface of the transfer body and fixing the color toner on this transparent resin layer, it has abundant color tone, excellent color reproducibility, high resolution, and gloss. Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 5-216322 discloses that a color image forming method capable of obtaining an excellent color image is obtained.
