【0148】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is a still camera. And still camera control method For example, the present invention is suitable for application to a digital still camera (hereinafter referred to as a digital still camera with a strobe) provided with a strobe that instantaneously illuminates a subject to be photographed.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a conventional digital still camera with a strobe, an operation current and a charging current are supplied to a camera circuit such as an LCD backlight circuit or an imaging circuit for driving a liquid crystal display (LCD) and a strobe charging circuit. The power supply is shared, and supply of operating current from the power supply unit to the camera circuit is stopped while the strobe charging circuit is being charged (that is, charging current is being supplied from the power supply unit to the strobe charging circuit). (For example, refer to Patent Document 1).
[0003]
[Patent Document 1]
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2001-5069 (first page, FIG. 1, FIG. 6, FIG. 7)
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in a digital still camera with a strobe having such a configuration, a digital photographic image obtained by photographing a subject to be photographed, for example, when a strobe charging circuit is activated, for example, when a digital still camera with a strobe is activated or immediately after a strobe is fired. Charging is performed at various timings such as when the playback mode is changed to the shooting mode for shooting a new shooting target.
[0005]
As a result, in such a digital still camera with a strobe, the strobe charging circuit can be recharged at any time by charging the strobe charging circuit, and if the imaging circuit is insufficiently exposed when taking a picture in this state, In addition, the subject is photographed with an appropriate exposure by illuminating the subject by flashing light instantaneously.
[0006]
In addition, in the digital still camera with a strobe, every time the strobe charging circuit is charged at such various timings, the supply of the operating current to the camera circuit with relatively large power consumption is stopped, so that the digital still camera with a strobe is Power consumption is reduced.
[0007]
However, in such a digital still camera with a strobe, every time the strobe charging circuit is charged, the supply of the operating current to the camera circuit is stopped, so that various operations unintended by the photographer during the start-up of the digital still camera with a strobe are performed. There was a problem that the liquid crystal display suddenly turned off at the timing, making it difficult to use.
[0008]
The present invention has been made in consideration of the above points, and a still camera capable of reducing power consumption by minimizing deterioration in usability as much as possible. And still camera control method Is to try to propose.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve this problem, in the present invention, , Shooting Multiple shooting operation means that perform different shooting operations when shooting shadow objects Selected to execute a shooting operation in response to an arbitrary selection of an operation type for determining whether to perform a shooting operation or a standby operation with a limited execution function of the shooting operation. For operating means for shooting Supply current for shooting operation to execute shooting operation And controlling the constant voltage type current supply means so that the photographing operation means selected to execute the standby operation is caused to execute the standby operation at a standby operation current lower than the photographing operation current. Control Charging period before shooting prior to shooting of the shooting target with a strobe that illuminates and illuminates the shooting target according to the shooting of the shooting target Control the current supply means to supply the charging current for light emission, Charging period immediately after the flash fires immediately after the flash fires when shooting In the strobe Supply charging current And controlling the current supply means so as to stop the supply of the standby operation current to the photographing operation means that had been executing the standby operation immediately before the charging period immediately after the light emission, and immediately before the charging period immediately after the light emission. Execute the standby operation for the shooting operation means that was performing the shooting operation. I tried to control it.
[0010]
Therefore, in the charging period immediately after the light emission, the photographing operation means is prevented from suddenly stopping the photographing operation at a timing not intended by the photographer during startup, and the photographer achieves the purpose of photographing the photographing object. Only the operation means for such shooting Depending on the operating state of Stop supplying the current for shooting operation, Also Execute standby operation The Power consumption can be reduced.
[0011]
In the present invention, , Shooting Multiple shooting operation means that perform different shooting operations when shooting shadow objects The shooting operation is executed in response to the arbitrary selection of the operation type of whether to execute the shooting operation or the low power consumption operation that consumes less power than the shooting operation. On the selected shooting operation means Apply voltage for shooting operation to execute shooting operation Let Supply current for shooting operation And a low power consumption operation voltage lower than the photographing operation voltage is applied to the photographing operation means selected to execute the low power consumption operation for a low power consumption operation lower than the photographing operation current. To supply current, Charging period before shooting prior to shooting of the shooting target with a strobe that illuminates and illuminates the shooting target according to the shooting of the shooting target Controlling the variable voltage type current supply means to supply a charging current by applying a charging voltage for light emission to Charging period immediately after the flash fires immediately after the flash fires when shooting In the strobe Apply charging voltage Let To supply charging current In addition, the low power consumption operation voltage is supplied to the photographing operation means that has performed the photographing operation immediately before the charging period immediately after light emission to supply the low power consumption operation current, and immediately before the charging period immediately after light emission. The supply of the low power consumption operation current is stopped by stopping the application of the low power consumption operation voltage to the photographing operation means that has been performing the low power consumption operation. The current supply means was controlled so that
[0012]
Therefore, in the charging period immediately after the light emission, the photographing operation means is prevented from suddenly stopping the photographing operation at a timing not intended by the photographer during startup, and the photographer achieves the purpose of photographing the photographing object. Only the operation means for such shooting Depending on the operating state of Stop supplying the current for shooting operation. ,Also The power consumption can be reduced by supplying a low power consumption operation current.
