Description

The present invention relates to a breather pipe protection structure for a vehicle in which a breather pipe that communicates between a fuel tank and the vicinity of a fuel filler opening of the fuel pipe extends in the vertical direction of the vehicle.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, some automobiles, such as vehicles, are provided with a breather pipe that communicates between a fuel tank and the vicinity of a fuel filler opening of the fuel pipe in order to prevent blowing out during refueling. In some passenger cars and the like that are provided with a fuel tank on the rear side of the vehicle, a fuel pipe that connects the fuel filler opening and the fuel tank is passed through the rear wheel house. In that case, the breather pipe also follows the fuel pipe and is similarly disposed in the rear wheel house.

On the other hand, the body is deformed by a collision (rear collision) from the rear with respect to the vehicle. Accordingly, when the rear wheel house is deformed, the deformed portion of the rear wheel house may collide with the breather pipe branched from the vicinity of the fuel filler opening of the fuel pipe. The rear wheel house is formed by a vehicle interior side plate and a vehicle exterior side plate. For example, the vehicle interior side plate is formed in a concave shape facing the vehicle outer side plate, and a breather pipe is installed together with a fuel pipe in the recess. By receiving, the deformation of the body is allowed by the gap between the inner surface of the recessed portion and the breather pipe, and the breather pipe can be protected against the rearward deformation. However, since the breather pipe having a smaller diameter than the fuel pipe is easily deformed, it is desirable to prevent the breather pipe from being further affected by the deformation of the rear wheel house.

In addition, in a vehicle in which a rear wheel is driven via a chain in a power transport vehicle, a breather pipe is erected on the chain case in order to provide a breather pipe in the chain case, and an object such as a stone such as a stone jump There is one in which a chain case protects a collision with a breather pipe (for example, see Patent Document 1).

Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 63-3300

However, the structure for protecting against the above-mentioned stone jumping and the like is a protection structure against body deformation at the time of a rear collision in a case where a breather pipe communicating with a fuel tank and the vicinity of a fuel filler opening of the fuel pipe is received in the rear wheel house. It is difficult to use as it is.

Also, in order to prevent the breather pipe from being affected even if the rear wheel house is greatly deformed, the rear wheel house may be formed to have a large space with the breather pipe in the rear wheel house. In this case, there is a problem that other space is sacrificed.

In order to solve such a problem and to protect the breather pipe received in the rear wheel house from the deformation of the rear wheel house at the time of rear-end collision and to realize a compact structure, in the present invention, A breather pipe protection structure for a vehicle in which a breather pipe (4) that communicates between a tank (2) and the vicinity of a fuel filler port (3a) of a fuel pipe (3) extends in the vertical direction of the vehicle. The rear wheel house (7) is formed by a vehicle compartment side plate (6) that forms the vehicle compartment side portion and a vehicle exterior side plate (1) that forms the vehicle exterior portion, and the vehicle compartment side plate (6) In order to receive the breather pipe (4), a recessed pipe receiving portion (6a) facing the vehicle outer side plate (1) is formed, and a reinforcing member along the recessed shape of the pipe receiving portion (6a) ( 8 10) is integrally fixed to the passenger compartment side plate (6), and is closed between the reinforcing member (8, 10) and the corresponding portion of the passenger compartment side plate (6) as seen from the front-rear direction of the vehicle. It is assumed that a cross section is formed and that the cross-sectional area of the closed cross section is smaller on the vehicle front side than on the vehicle rear side. In particular, the breather pipe (4) is preferably supported by the reinforcing member (8) via a support member (9).

Thus, according to the present invention, the recessed pipe receiving portion for receiving the breather pipe extending in the vehicle vertical direction is formed by the vehicle compartment side plate of the rear wheel house, and the reinforcing member along the recessed shape is provided. Since it is integrally fixed to the passenger compartment side plate, the rigidity against deformation of the rear wheel house can be increased. And by forming the closed cross section seen from the vehicle front-back direction with the reinforcing member and the vehicle compartment side plate, the buckling strength against the rear impact is increased and the cross sectional area of the closed cross section becomes smaller as it reaches the vehicle front side. Therefore, the space on the front side of the vehicle in the reinforcing member becomes small while ensuring the rigidity on the vehicle rear side with respect to the rear collision, so that the expansion of the necessary space due to the provision of the reinforcing member can be minimized and compact. Can be promoted.

In particular, when the breather pipe is supported by the reinforcing member via the support member, even when the passenger side plate is deformed and the reinforcing member moves, the breather pipe also moves together with the reinforcing member. And the breather pipe are moved while the relative positional relationship is maintained, and interference between the two can be avoided.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a partial side view showing a rear part of a body of an automobile as a vehicle to which the present invention is applied. In the drawing, the shape of the vehicle exterior plate 1 that forms the appearance of the body is shown.

In FIG. 1, a fuel tank 2 is arranged at the lower part of the rear part of the body, and a fuel supply port 3 a, which is the other end of a fuel pipe 3 connected to the fuel tank 2 at one end, opens at a suitable position on the vehicle outer plate 1. It is provided to do. When refueling, the nozzle of the refueling gun is inserted into the fuel refueling port 3a, and the fuel is fed into the fuel tank 2 through the fuel pipe 3. The other end of the breather pipe 4 whose one end is connected to the upper part of the fuel tank 1 is connected in the vicinity of the fuel filler port 3a in order to prevent spraying back from the fuel tank 2 toward the fuel filler port 3a during the fueling. .

A rear wheel house 7 is formed at the rear portion of the body by a vehicle outer side plate 1 and a vehicle compartment side plate 6 provided inside the body. The fuel pipe 3 and the breather pipe 4 described above extend substantially in the vertical direction of the vehicle (the body in the figure), and as shown in FIG. It is arranged to be received. The lower part of the fuel pipe 3 and the breather pipe 4 is fixed to the vehicle compartment side plate 6 by a band 5.

As shown in FIG. 3A, the vehicle compartment side plate 6 forming the vehicle inner side portion of the rear wheel house 7 includes a tire receiving portion 6a for receiving an upper portion of a tire (not shown), and an upper portion thereof. And a pipe receiving portion 6b for receiving the fuel pipe 3 and the breather pipe 4. The tire receiving portion 6a has a concave shape with respect to the vehicle outer side plate 1, and the pipe receiving portion 6b is also recessed with respect to the vehicle outer side plate 1. Both the receiving portions 6a and 6b communicate with each other. The fuel pipe 3 and the breather pipe 4 are disposed along the inner surface of the vehicle compartment side plate 6 from the lower end of the tire receiving portion 6a to the vicinity of the upper portion of the pipe receiving portion 6b.

A concave reinforcing member 8 that matches the concave shape is fixed to the inner surface of the pipe receiving portion 6b. As shown in FIG. 3B, the cross-sectional shape of the reinforcing member 8 is formed so as to form a trapezoidal U-shape in which a plate material is opened toward the vehicle interior side plate 6. Each end of the expanded leg portions of the reinforcing member 8 extends to the outside in a direction opposite to each other by a predetermined amount. Spot welded. The fixing of the reinforcing member 8 to the passenger compartment side plate 6 is not limited to the spot welding.

A closed section is formed by the reinforcing member 8 and the corresponding part of the passenger compartment side plate 6 integrated as described above, as shown in FIG. In the portion along the vehicle front-rear direction of the reinforcing member 8 provided along the surface of the pipe receiving portion 6 b that is recessed toward the vehicle outer side plate 1, the closed cross section is substantially orthogonal to the vehicle front-rear direction. Formed on the surface.

Therefore, in addition to the increase in strength due to the provision of the reinforcing member 8, in the closed cross-sectional structure of the portion along the vehicle front-rear direction, the pipe receiving portion The strength is further increased against the rear collision as shown by the arrow A in FIG. Thereby, since the deformation amount of the rear wheel house 7 with respect to the rear collision can be reduced, the inner surface of the pipe receiving portion 6b of the passenger compartment side plate 6 strikes the breather pipe 4 and damages the breather pipe 4. Can be avoided.

Further, the size of the closed cross section is set so that the cross sectional area on the vehicle rear side (FIG. 3B) is larger than the cross sectional area on the vehicle front side (FIG. 3C). Compared to the rear side of the vehicle, the rear side of the vehicle that starts deformation at the time of rear-end collision secures high strength by a large cross-sectional area, and the rear side of the vehicle that is deformed later also reduces impact force. Thus, the cross-sectional area can be reduced. Thereby, since it is not necessary to use the space for providing the reinforcing member 8 unnecessarily large, it is possible to promote compactness in the reinforcing structure provided with the reinforcing member 8.

Further, since the reinforcing member 8 is formed in a trapezoidal substantially U shape as described above, both end portions 8a and 8b of the reinforcing member 8 are also formed on the wall portion of the pipe receiving portion 6b in the vehicle front-rear direction. The portion that is most likely to hit the breather pipe 4 at the time of rear-end collision is reinforced. Therefore, the strength of the portion of the inner panel 6 facing the breather pipe 4 in the vehicle front-rear direction is increased, and the deformation of the pipe receiving portion 6b with respect to the rear collision can be more suitably suppressed.

In the present invention, the reinforcing member 8 is not limited to being provided inside the rear wheel house 7 in the illustrated example, but may be provided outside the rear wheel house 7 as shown in FIG. In that case, a trapezoidal substantially U-shaped reinforcing member 10 is provided on the outer surface (inside the vehicle compartment) of the inner panel 6 so as to cover the pipe receiving portion 6b from the outside. Even if it does in this way, there can exist an effect similar to the said example of illustration.

The upper portions of the fuel pipe 3 and the breather pipe 4 are supported by a support member 9 having one end coupled to the reinforcing member 8. Accordingly, for example, when the reinforcing member 8 moves due to a rear collision, the breather pipe 4 can also move along with the movement, so that the end portion 8b of the reinforcing member 8 on the vehicle rear side hits the breather pipe 4. Can be avoided. In addition, in the movement of the upper part of the breather pipe 4, the breather pipe 4 is bent and deformed. However, since the change in the curvature of the bending deformation with respect to the amount of movement is small, the breather pipe 4 does not reach breakage.

The vehicle breather pipe protecting structure according to the present invention has an effect of protecting the breather pipe against the rear impact of the vehicle and making it compact, and is not limited to the breather pipe of the fuel tank, but in a vehicle provided with various breather pipes. It can also be applied to uses such as a protection structure against a collision thereafter.
