【発明が解決しようとする課題】
最下段の棚板の下方に収納空間を形成する場合、従来は、例えば側面視Ｌ字形をなす左右１対の支柱の下端の前方を向くベース脚の上下寸法を大として、両ベース脚の上面に棚板を取付け、それと左右のベース脚とにより囲まれた空間を収納空間としている。

上記目的を達成するために、本発明の商品陳列棚は、前面の凹溝内に複数の係止孔が上下方向に沿って列設したコ字状の取付金具を嵌着固定した支柱本体と、該支柱本体の凹溝内下端で凹凸嵌合し前方を向くベース脚とを有する側面視Ｌ字形をなす左右１対の支柱同士を、左右方向を向く連結杆により連結してなる商品陳列棚において、
前記左右のベース脚の上面に、該ベース脚の板厚と略同寸法の板厚を有する側面板を当接させ、ベース脚と側面板との当接面に形成された突部と凹部の嵌合により側面板の左右方向への移動を阻止するとともに、側面板の後端に突設した係合爪を前記支柱本体の係止孔に係合させ、該両側面板の上面に棚板を取付けることにより、その下方に収納空間を形成したことを特徴としている。
上記構成の本発明によれば、左右のベース脚の上面に、側面板を、前後左右方向に移動するのを阻止して取付け得るので、上下寸法の小さいベース脚を有する通常の支柱を用いても、両側面板上に取付けた棚板の下方に、簡単に収納空間を形成することができる。そしてベース脚と側面板との当接面に形成した突部と凹部とを上方より嵌合するだけで、ベース脚に対し側面板が左右方向に移動するのを簡単に防止することができる。また、支柱本体を木製としても、その前面の凹溝内にコ字形の取付金具を嵌着してあるため、支柱本体が補強され、曲げ強度が高まる。
