【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、壁体に取付ける、機能部が露出した露出型混合水栓(以下、特に露出形と明示する必要や後述の2穴式と1穴式を区別する必要がある場合を除き、略称して混合水栓と呼ぶ)の取付構造に関するものである。なお、ここにいう壁体とは、壁、カウンター、浴槽等、混合水栓を取付けるための面を有するもの全般を指し、混合水栓を取付ける面が、鉛直面、水平面、斜面の何れであるかは問わないし、混合水栓は、壁体裏面側の配管と壁体表面側の混合水栓とを連結する貫通継手(以下、請求項を引用したり、水側と湯側を区別する必要がある場合を除き、略称して継手と呼ぶ)が貫通する壁開口を、水側及び湯側に別々に設ける2穴式であるか、一つの壁開口で共用する1穴式であるかも問わない。

【従来の技術】
A)従来から、壁体に単水栓や2穴式露出型混合水栓を取付固定するために壁体に設ける継手の取付構造は、特開昭63−142134「ユニットバス用水栓取付ボックスの仮固定構造」、特開平9−152058「継手収納ボックス内への継手の固定構造」、特開平10−72852「壁用水栓取付け装置」、特開平3−69734「流体配管用の中継接続具」等、数多く提案されているが、何れも、水栓は継手を介して壁体に取付固定するため、継手も、壁体や壁体の支持材類に強固に取付固定するようになっている。

B)一方、壁体等に取付固定された水側と湯側の一対の継手に混合水栓本体を取付固定するためには、継手の芯間と混合水栓本体入口側の芯間を合せるため、通常は、図9に示す、JIS B2061「給水栓」の「付属書8(参考) 給水栓の形状」の「壁付きサーモスタット湯水混合水栓」等のように、一対の、クランク状に曲がった連結部品900を介して、継手と混合水栓本体800とを連結する。

C)又、クランク状部品をなくすため、特開平9−3993「水栓取付具」のように、正確な間隔を得るために、継手をフランジで連結したものや、特開平8−184082「湯水混合水栓用水栓エルボの固定構造及び取付脚の接続構造」のように、継手の間隔を調節可能に成す保持部を有するものがある。
D)更に、1穴式の混合水栓にあっては、特開平1−299927「混合水栓への湯水供給装置」や特開平11−36392「湯水混合水栓の接続構造」のように、水側と湯側が一体となった継手と混合水栓本体とを接続するものがある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
A)の継手の取付構造では、継手を、壁体や壁体の支持材類に強固に取付固定するため、一対の継手の間隔は完全に固定され、しかも、継手の取付固定作業も施工現場での作業となるため、精度が出にくいので、混合水栓本体入口側の間隔と一致せず、混合水栓本体を取付固定できないという不具合が発生する可能性が大きい。

このため、B)のように、クランク状に曲がった連結部品900を介して、継手と混合水栓本体800とを連結することが行われるが、その調整作業にはかなりの熟練を要するばかりか、漏水の可能性も大きく、又、壁体と混合水栓本体800との間に一対の連結部品900があり、しかも形状が複雑なため、コスト、意匠、清掃性の面で問題がある。

この問題を解決するために、C)が提案されているが、前者では、継手の間隔及び混合水栓本体入口側の間隔の双方に、高度な寸法精度を要求するため、製造コストの上昇を招くという問題がある。又、後者では、一般的なA)より、継手の間隔調整がやり易い分、施工性が向上しているが、壁体施工後に壁体前面側から調整することはできないため、継手の間隔を予め混合水栓本体入口側の間隔に正確に合せておく必要があり、これを忘れたり、疎かにすると、壁体裏面側に回れない場合は、手の施しようがなくなる可能性もある。

D)では、水側と湯側の継手が一体のため、混合水栓本体入口側との取合において、寸法的な遊びが取り難く、高度な寸法精度が要求され、製造及び取付施工の困難さと、それに伴うコストの上昇を招き、かつ、製造及び施工精度不良に伴う漏水の可能性が大きいという問題がある。

なお、上記何れの従来技術でも、継手は回動不能に取付固定されているため、配管取出方向の自由度が制限されるとともに、配管の曲がりや捩じれ等による反発力等のために、継手を所定の向きに取付固定する作業が困難で、施工コストの上昇を招くという問題もある。

本発明は、上記課題を解決するためになされたもので、本発明の目的は、1穴式、2穴式に拘わらず、製造や施工が容易で、意匠性、清掃性が良く、漏水の可能性が小さく、安価な混合水栓の取付構造を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の各請求項記載の混合水栓の取付構造について、上記課題を解決するために施した手段は、以下の通りである。

請求項1記載の混合水栓の取付構造では、壁体に壁開口を開設し、前記壁体の裏面側に敷設された水側及び湯側配管を、前記壁開口を貫通する一対の貫通継手へ接続し、前記貫通継手に混合水栓を接続する混合水栓の取付構造において、前記壁体の裏面側で、変形により前記貫通継手の出口側を挿入、係止する壁裏当て材にて前記継手出口側を保持すると共に、前記壁体の表面側には、前記継手出口側を収納する水栓取付座を位置させ前記壁裏当て材に連結固定し、さらに前記貫通継手の前記壁体の裏面側への移動を規制する後方移動規制部材を設け、前記継手出口側と前記混合水栓の本体入口を水栓連結管にて連結し、前記混合水栓本体を前記水栓取付座に取付固定したことを特徴とすることとした。
また、請求項2記載の混合水栓の取付構造では、前記壁裏当て材が、ともに開口を有する壁裏保持材と壁裏当て材本体からなり、前記壁裏保持材の変形により前記継手出口側を前記壁裏保持材の開口に挿入、係止すると共に、前記壁裏保持材を前記壁裏当て材本体の開口に挿入、係止し、前記水栓取付座は前記壁裏当て材本体と連結固定することを特徴とすることとした。
また、請求項3記載の混合水栓の取付構造では、前記後方移動規制部材が、前記壁体の表面側に当接する継手プレートと止め輪からなり、前記継手プレートに設けた継手挿通口に前記継手出口側を嵌め合わせ、前記継手出口側の外周に形成した凹溝を継手プレートの前方即ち前記壁体の表面側方向に露出させ、前記凹溝に前記止め輪を挿入、係止することにより、前記継手出口側をその軸回りに回動可能で、前記壁体の裏面側へ移動不能に保持することを特徴とすることとした。
また、請求項4記載の混合水栓の取付構造では、前記水栓取付座が、前記継手出口側を挿入可能な継手保持穴を有する水栓取付座本体と、前記継手保持穴の前方にあって前記継手出口側の挿通が不能で、かつ前記水栓連結管の挿通が可能な連結管挿通穴を有する抜け止めと、前記水栓取付座本体の外周にあって壁体表面側に当接するフランジからなり、前記継手保持穴に前記継手出口側を巌め合わせて収納することにより、前記継手出口側を、その軸回りに回動可能で、後方以外の方向に略移動不能に保持することを特徴とすることとした。
また、請求項5記載の混合水栓の取付構造では、前記水栓取付座を、前記壁開口を通して前記壁裏当て材に連結固定することを特徴とすることとした。
また、請求項6記載の混合水栓の取付構造では、前記継手出口側及び前記水栓取付座の前後位置を、前記壁体の表面側を基準に位置決めすることを特微とすることとした。
また、請求項7記載の混合水栓の取付構造では、水側及び湯側の貫通継手の出口側間の間隔と、前記混合水栓本体の水側及び湯側の入口間の間隔との寸法誤差を吸収する、芯間調整手段を設けたことを特徴とすることとした。
さらに、請求項8記載の混合水栓の取付構造では、前記芯間調整手段が、前記水栓連結管と前記混合水栓本体入口側を固定する連結管固定材と、前記水栓連結管との間、及び/又は、前記継手保持穴と前記継手出口側との間に、所定の遊びを設けたものであることを特徴とすることとした。

【発明の実施の形態】
体に開設した壁開口と、この壁開口を貫通する貫通継手と、継手出口側に接続する混合水栓本体を有する混合水栓の取付構造では、継手が一体の時には、継手出口側と混合水栓入口側との取合において、寸法的な遊びが取り難く、高度な寸法精度が要求され、製造及び取付施工の困難さと、それに伴うコストの上昇を招き、かつ、製造及び施工精度不良に伴う漏水事故の可能性が大きいという問題があるが、これを解決するために、水側及び湯側の貫通継手を互いに分離独立した別体品とした。更に、分離独立した一対の継手出口側を壁開口から同時に引き出せるように、又、配管に取付けた継手が自立し所定の位置に留まり易いようにして施工を容易にし、施工コストの低減を図るため、壁体裏面側に壁裏当て材を設けて、一対の継手出口側を略所定の間隔に保持して緩やかに一体化した。なお、略所定の間隔に保持するとは、所定の間隔に動かないように固定するのではなく、所定の間隔よりやや広くも、やや狭くも動かせる状態に、更に、必要に応じてその軸回りに回動可能な状態に支持することを意味する。

次に、壁開口から引き出した一対の継手出口側が後方即ち壁体面側方向に逃げないようにするため、壁体表面側に後方移動規制部材を設けて、継手出口側の後方への移動を規制した。なお、これにより、壁裏当て材への保持と合せて前後2箇所で保持することになり、一対の継手出口側の平行度と壁体表面に対する垂直度が向上し、次に述べる水栓取付座の着脱が容易になるという効果もある。

次に、一対の継手の平行度と壁体表面に対する垂直度を更に向上させることにより、次に述べる継手出口側と水栓連結管との連結をより容易にすると共に、混合水栓本体を簡便かつ強固に取付固定するため、継手出口側を収納、保持する水栓取付座を設けて、壁体表面側に取付固定した。

合水栓本体を、水密的にも機械的にも簡便かつ確実、強固に取付固定するため、継手出口側と混合水栓の水栓本体入口側とを水密的に連結する水栓連結管と、混合水栓本体を機械的に取付固定する水栓固定部材を設けた。なお、故障時の対応、及び機能や意匠等の向上のための混合水栓本体の交換を容易ならしめるため、混合水栓本体は着脱自在とした。

また、簡単な構造にして、製造及び施工を容易にすることにより、安価に、継手出口側の後方への移動を規制する手段を得るため、後方移動規制部材を、壁体表面側に当接し得る外形と継手出口側を挿通可能な継手挿通口とを有する継手プレートと、止め輪とから構成し、継手挿通口を継手出口側に嵌め合わせて、略円筒状の継手出口側の後方に形成した円周方向の凹溝を継手プレートの前方即ち壁体表面側方向に露出せしめ、この凹溝に止め輪を挿入係止することにより、継手出口側を、その軸回りに回動可能で、かつ、後方に移動不能に保持した。なお、回動可能に保持するのは、配管取出方向の自由度を確保するとともに、発明の実施の形態で詳しく述べる通り、配管の反発力を緩和して、施工性の向上を図るためである。又、壁体表面に当接し得るとは、壁体表面に直接当接するものは勿論、他の部材等を挟んで、壁体表面に間接的に当接するものをも含み、略円筒状とは、断面が均一径の円筒は勿論、例えば、円筒の内面及び/又は外面に任意方向の凹凸や前後方向のテーパを設けたもの等をも含むことを意味する。

また、容易に施工できるようにして施工コストの低減を図るため、水栓取付座を、継手出口側を挿入可能な継手保持穴を有する水栓取付座本体と、継手保持穴の前方にあって継手出口側の挿通が不能でかつ水栓連結管の挿通が可能な連結管挿通穴を有する抜け止めと、水栓取付座本体の後方外周にあって壁体表面側に当接し得るフランジとから構成して、継手保持穴を継手出口側に嵌め合わせてから、水栓取付座を壁体に固定することにより、継手出口側を、その軸回りに回動可能で、かつ、後方以外の方向に略移動不能に保持した。なお、略移動不能とは、想定する各種の寸法誤差等を吸収するための多少の遊びを許容することを意味する。

また、混合水栓本体を取付固定する水栓取付座の取付強度を確保し、かつ、水栓取付座の小型化と、それに伴うコスト低減、意匠性の向上を図り、メンテナンスをも容易とするため、水栓取付座を、壁体表面側から、壁開口を通し壁体を挟んで、壁体裏面側に設けた(継手出口側の保持のみならず、荷重分散を図る役目をも担う)壁裏当て材に連結固定した。なお、壁開口を通して連結固定するとは、壁開口の内、貫通継手が占有する領域を除いた部分を利用して、ねじ等を使ってお互いをつなぎ合わせて固定する、という意味であり、これによって、壁開口を拡大したり、連結固定するための穴を新たに開けたりする必要がなく、壁開口の外側で壁体に取付固定する場合に比べて、大幅な小型化が可能となる訳である。

また、継手出口側、水栓取付座、混合水栓本体相互の取合に、壁パネルの厚さ種類やその誤差の吸収を考慮する必要をなくして、構造の単純化と小型化を可能ならしめ、製品コストの低減を図るため、継手出口側及び水栓取付座の前後位置を、壁体表面側を基準に位置決めするようにした。混合水栓本体は水栓取付座に取付固定するため、継手出口側及び水栓取付座の前後位置を、壁体表面側を基準に位置決めすれば、混合水栓本体も同じ基準で位置決めすることになるので、継手出口側、水栓取付座、混合水栓本体の三者の前後の位置関係が常に一定になる訳である。

また、製品に要求される寸法精度を低く抑えながら、施工を容易なものとして、漏水の可能性と、製品コスト及び施工コストの低減を図るため、一対の継手出口側の間隔と、水栓本体入口側の水側及び湯側の間隔との寸法誤差を吸収する、芯間調整手段を設けた。

また、簡単な構造にして、製造及び施工を容易にすることにより、安価に、芯間調整機能を得るため、芯間調整手段を、水栓連結管と水栓本体入口側とを固定する連結管固定材と水栓連結管との間、及び/又は、水栓取付座の継手保持穴と継手出口側との間に、所定の遊びを設けた。なお、連結管固定材とは、袋ナットや押え板等のことであり、所定の遊びとは、一対の継手出口側の間隔と、水栓本体入口側の水側及び湯側の間隔との、想定する各種寸法誤差等を吸収するに必要十分な逃げ寸法のことを指す。

本実施例では、壁裏保持材32は半硬質樹脂製である上、爪323の前方先端は斜面、その後方は鉤状になっているため、壁裏当て材開口311への挿入係止は容易であるが、更に壁裏保持材32には把持部324を形成しているので、この部分を把持することにより、爪323を内側に撓ませると、更に容易に挿入係止できる。この簡単な作業で、一対の継手出口側22は、壁裏当て材3にて、略所定の間隔に保持され緩やかに一体化される。又、継手出口側22はその軸回りに回動可能に保持される、即ち、継手入口側21がどの方向を向いていても保持が可能であるので、配管1の曲げ癖や捩じれがあっても、従来のように、配管1の反発力に逆らいつつ継手入口側21を所定の向きに合せて固定するために苦労する必要はなく、本工程での継手出口側22の保持作業はきわめて容易である。

前記工程▲3▼で一対の継手出口側22は緩やかに一体化されているためバラバラになることはなく、又、一対の配管1で支持されるため、お互いに強度を補い合い、曲がりを矯正し合うので、一対の継手2を各1本の配管1で支持する場合に比べて、自立し易く、かつ所定の位置に留まり易いため、位置合わせがやり易い。更に、壁開口41全体を継手出口側22が占めるわけではなく適当な空間ができるため、手指を挿入して継手出口側22を手前側に引き出すのは容易である。本実施例では、継手出口側22はその軸回りに回動可能に保持されており、しかも配管1が可撓性樹脂配管であるため、配管1をやや長目に調整しておけば、継手出口側22がその軸回りに回動することにより配管1が容易に撓み、継手出口側22を壁開口41の位置に合わせて引込むことは容易である。なお、壁裏当て材本体31に形成された3個の壁裏当て材突起312の外接円は、壁開口41の内径よりやや小さくしてあるので、各種の誤差があっても確実に壁開口41内に嵌合でき、混合水栓本体8を所定の位置に正確に取り付けることに寄与する。

本実施例では、止め環52は、金属や樹脂等の弾性素材で形成されたワンタッチ取付式のスナップリングとなっているため、凹溝23への挿入係止は容易である。又、凹溝23の前後幅が十分に大きいので、壁パネル4の厚さ種類への対応範囲が広く、又、止め環52を凹溝23に挿入係止するに十分なだけ継手出口側22を引き出せる。この簡単な作業で、一対の継手出口側22は、止め環52及び継手プレート51、即ち後方移動規制部材5を介して壁パネル4に押し当てられて、後方への移動を規制されるので、下記工程▲6▼▲7▼▲9▼で、継手2が後方へ逃げるおそれがなくなる。又、継手出口側22は、上記工程▲3▼と同様、継手入口側21がどの方向を向いていても保持が可能であるので、上記工程▲4▼で配管1を撓ませることが可能となり、配管1はやや長目になるように大まかに調整すれば良いので、配管1の長さ調整作業と継手出口側22の保持作業はきわめて容易である。又、本工程で、一対の継手出口側22の平行度と壁パネル4表面に対する垂直度が増すので、下記工程▲6▼の作業が容易となる。更に、一対の継手出口側22は、互いに略必要最小限の間隔で配置されるため、混合水栓の小型化に寄与する。

この作業により、一対の継手出口側22は、抜け止め65によって前方への移動を、継手保持穴62によって前方及び後方以外の方向への移動を規制されると共に、平行度と壁パネル4表面に対する垂直度を更に増して、下記工程▲7▼▲9▼での水栓連結管71の挿入が容易になる。本実施例では、上記工程▲3▼▲5▼と同様、継手出口側22はその軸回りに回動可能であるので、継手入口側21の向きに関係なく、本工程での保持作業もきわめて容易である。又、水栓取付座6と壁裏当て材本体31とは、壁開口41の内、継手出口側22が占有する領域を除いた部分を利用してねじ固定されるので、壁開口41の外側で壁パネル4に取付固定する場合に比べて、大幅な小型化が可能となり、意匠の向上と製品コストの低減ができる。更に、継手プレート51に形成された3個の継手プレート突起512の外接円は、壁裏当て材突起312と同様、壁開口41の内径よりやや小さくしてあるので、各種の誤差があっても確実に壁開口41内に嵌合でき、混合水栓本体8を所定の位置に正確に取り付けることに寄与する。又、壁裏当て材突起312と継手プレート突起512の位置は、互いに重ならないように配置してあるので、壁パネル4の厚さが薄い場合でも、双方の突起が衝突して、壁を十分に締め付け固定できなくなるおそれがない。
