Description
【0001】

[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a weather strip according to claim 1 of the present invention provides a sealing surface of an opening / closing body (500) when the opening / closing body (500) such as a back door, trunk lid, hood, etc. of an automobile is closed. A trim portion (11) having a substantially U-shaped cross section that is attached to a flange (F) erected from a body panel (501) substantially perpendicular to the body panel (501), and is formed on one side wall (11a) side of the trim portion (11). A weather strip (10) comprising: a hollow seal portion (12) that elastically contacts the opening / closing body (500) when the opening / closing body (500) is closed to seal between the opening / closing body (500), The seal portion (12) is bridged (14) by the upper hollow (12a) on the opening / closing body (500) side, and the lower hollow on the body panel (501) side opposite to the opening / closing body (500) side ( 12b) And the width (L) of the hollow seal portion (12) between the connecting portions of the bridge (14) is made larger than the width (W) of the trim portion (11) perpendicular to the flange (F). In addition to making it bigger,

[0017]
According to the weather strip of the present invention, since the width of the hollow seal portion is set to be larger than the width of the trim portion, a sufficient sealing function can be obtained by sealing the surface of the opening / closing body. Can also be secured. In addition, since the hollow seal portion having such a large size is divided into two by a bridge, a weather strip excellent in sealing performance is provided even when a weather strip is attached to the corner portion.

In particular, a gap is provided between the tip of one side wall and the body panel, and a space larger than the gap is provided between the one side wall and the lip of the third hollow wall to further increase the size (enlarge space). A drain can be provided.
By making the drainage groove sufficiently large in this way, it is possible to prevent the water entering from the portion where the number of plate of the body panel changes from entering the vehicle interior beyond the flange.
Furthermore, the lip formed at the tip of the third hollow wall is molded with a member having low rigidity, and the portion other than the lip of the third hollow wall is formed with a member having high rigidity, so that the lip is easily bent and deformed. It follows the body panel, but the part other than the lip of the third hollow wall is not easily deformed even when the closing force of the opening / closing body is applied to the hollow seal part. Even at times, it is hardly narrowed, and a large-sized (larger space) state can always be secured.

Further, by forming a convex portion at the connecting portion between the bridge and the first hollow wall, a high water pressure is applied between the convex portion and the end portion on the bridge side of the fourth hollow wall, and there is a force to push the upper hollow toward the opening / closing body side. Since it works further, the sealing performance is improved accordingly.
[0021]
According to the weather strip sealing structure of the present invention, the intrusion direction of the sealing surface of the opening / closing body when the opening / closing body is closed is substantially parallel to the flange, and a step portion is formed in the opening / closing body. Since the corner on the side of the hollow seal part is elastically contacted near the top of the upper hollow when the opening / closing body is closed, the upper hollow is not put into a so-called bending compression state when the opening / closing body is closed. , Compression compression. As a result, a sufficient sealing performance can be obtained by using a face seal instead of a line seal in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle for the part sealed with respect to the opening / closing body.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the weather strip of the present invention, since the width of the hollow seal portion is set larger than the width of the trim portion, a sufficient sealing function can be obtained by sealing the surface with respect to the opening and closing body, Sealing properties can be secured against vehicle variations. In addition, since the hollow seal portion having such a large size is divided into two by a bridge, a weather strip excellent in sealing performance is provided even when a weather strip is attached to the corner portion.
[0033]
Also, the upper hollow has a substantially Δ shape with the bridge, the first hollow wall, and the second hollow wall, and the lower hollow has a substantially ▽ shape with the bridge, the third hollow wall, and the fourth hollow wall. A large drainage groove can be provided between the lip and one side wall by forming a lip that elastically contacts the body panel at the tip of the third hollow wall extending from the side to the body panel.
[0034]
In addition, since the two sides of the first hollow wall and the second hollow wall are bulged in a convex shape toward the outside, a stable sealing surface is obtained with respect to the opening / closing body, so that the sealing performance is improved.
[0035]
Further, by forming a convex portion at the connecting portion between the bridge and the first hollow wall, a high water pressure is applied between the convex portion and the end portion on the bridge side of the fourth hollow wall, and there is a force to push the upper hollow toward the opening / closing body side. Since it works further, the sealing performance is improved accordingly.
[0036]
According to the weather strip sealing structure of the present invention, the intrusion direction of the sealing surface of the opening / closing body when the opening / closing body is closed is substantially parallel to the flange, and a step portion is formed in the opening / closing body. Since the corner on the side of the hollow seal part is elastically contacted near the top of the upper hollow when the opening / closing body is closed, the upper hollow is not put into a so-called bending compression state when the opening / closing body is closed. , Compression compression. Thereby, sufficient sealing performance is obtained with respect to the opening / closing body by a face seal rather than a line seal.
