本発明は、便器へ便器洗浄水を供給するロータンクの上側に設置される手洗鉢に係り、特に鉢部に水を溜めて手を洗うように構成された手洗鉢に関する。

【従来の技術】
トイレルーム内において用便後に手を洗うためにロータンクの上側に手洗鉢を設けたものが広く用いられている。このような手洗鉢付きロータンクの従来例の一例について図４を参照して説明する。

この従来例は、ロータンクを覆うロータンクカバーを備えたコンソール型洋風便器設備と称されるものであり、洋風便器１０の後部上面にロータンクカバー１２が設置され、このロータンクカバー１２内にロータンク（図面を明瞭にするために図示略）が設置されている。このロータンク内へは止水栓１４、サプライ管１６及びボールタップ１８を介して水が供給される。ロータンクの底部の放水口はフロート弁２０が設けられている。ロータンクカバー１２に取り付けられた洗浄ハンドル２２を回すと、玉鎖２４を介して該フロート弁２０が引き上げられ、ロータンク内の水が洋風便器１０の便鉢へ放出される。ロータンク内の水のほぼ全量が放出されると、フロート弁２０が着座し、ロータンク内に水が再び貯留される。なお、ロータンク内の水位が低下すると、ボールタップ１８に連結された浮玉２６が下方移動し、ボールタップ１８が開栓し、ロータンク内にボールタップ１８から注水される。

上記従来のように手洗吐水器３０からの吐水によって手を洗うようにした手洗鉢３２にあっては、手に当った水が周囲に飛び散り、トイレルームの床や壁あるいは使用者の衣服などを濡らすことがある。また、水圧が高い地域などにあっては、手洗吐水器３０から勢いよく吐出した水が手洗鉢３２の鉢面に当って飛び散り、周囲を濡らすことがある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の手洗鉢は、ロータンクの上側に設置される手洗鉢において、鉢部と、該鉢部内を貯水部と溢出部とに区画する溢流堰と、該貯水部内に水を供給する吐水器と、該貯水部の底部からロータンク内へ排水する排水口と、該溢出部に設けられており、該貯水部内から該溢流堰を介して溢流してきた水をロータンクへ流出させる流出口とを備えてなり、該吐水器の吐水口が鉢部の上縁よりも下位に位置しており、該吐水器の吐水量及び前記排水口の口径は、該吐水器からの吐水により溢流堰から水が溢流するまで鉢部内に水が溜まるように設定されている手洗鉢であって、該溢流堰が該手洗鉢の左サイドから右サイドにまで延設されており、該手洗鉢の手前側が貯水部となっており、奥側が溢出部となっていることを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
