【0001】
(A)d>dtかつV>Vt
(B)d<dtかつV<Vt
【0014】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle speed control device, and more particularly, to a vehicle speed control device for controlling a constant speed traveling control and a distance between a host vehicle and a preceding vehicle (hereinafter referred to as a preceding vehicle).
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a constant speed traveling device (auto cruise) that automatically adjusts the opening of the throttle valve as an engine output control means so that the speed of the host vehicle can be kept constant even if the driver does not operate the accelerator pedal. ) Vehicles are becoming popular.
[0003]
In such a constant speed traveling device, there is a possibility that the vehicle will collide with a preceding vehicle due to the congestion of the road. For the purpose of preventing such a collision, the vehicle may be preceded by a distance measuring device such as a laser radar or radio wave radar mounted on the vehicle. A vehicle speed control device having a function of measuring a distance between vehicles and preventing a rear-end collision has been developed and put into practical use.
Development of a function for preventing a collision with an obstacle or a traveling vehicle is also in progress.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, because individual control technologies are being independently studied, the speed control law during acceleration / deceleration required for automatic operation that uniformly handles everything from preventing rear-end collisions to vehicles and accelerating / merging to highways. There was no.
[0005]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to realize a vehicle speed control device having a unified speed control law at the time of acceleration / deceleration that can be applied to a series of speed control and is simple and practical.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A process for deriving a unified speed control law at the time of acceleration / deceleration in the vehicle speed control apparatus according to the present invention for achieving the above object will be described below.
[0007]
1. Derivation of acceleration / deceleration control law At time t + T when the inter-vehicle distance between the vehicle traveling at vehicle speed V at a certain time t and the preceding vehicle that is the partner vehicle traveling at vehicle speed V t is d Consider accelerating to the target vehicle speed V t and simultaneously realizing the target inter-vehicle distance d t . Note that L 1 represents the travel distance of the host vehicle, and L 2 represents the travel distance of the preceding vehicle.
This situation is shown in FIG. Also shows the time variation of up to a vehicle speed V of the vehicle reaches the target vehicle speed V t at a constant acceleration in FIG.
[0008]
In FIG. 1, the following equation is established from the relationship between the inter-vehicle distance and the travel distance.
[Expression 1]
[0009]
Here, the travel distances L 1 and L 2 are expressed by the following equations.
[Expression 2]
[0010]
Substituting this into equation (1) yields:
[Equation 3]
[0011]
When the acceleration time T is obtained from this equation (3), the following equation is obtained.
[Expression 4]
[0012]
On the other hand, the constant acceleration V ′ is expressed by the following equation:
Therefore, if equation (4) is substituted into this, constant acceleration V ′ is given by the following equation.
[Formula 6]
[0013]
By the way, since the acceleration time T is a positive number, it is necessary to satisfy either of the following control laws (A) or (B) from the equation (4). In other words, only when the condition of either the control law (A) or (B) is satisfied, the constant acceleration formula expressed by the formula (6) is effective.
(A) d> d t and V> V t
(B) d <d t and V <V t
[0014]
The physical meanings of the control laws (A) and (B) can be interpreted as follows.
(A) The inter-vehicle distance d is wider than the target inter-vehicle distance dt ,
In addition, when the host vehicle speed V is faster than the target vehicle speed V t (B) the inter-vehicle distance d is narrower than the target inter-vehicle distance d t ,
When the host vehicle speed V is slower than the target vehicle speed V t [0015]
Depending on each case, the sign of equation (6) differs as follows.
In the case of (A): V ′ <0: In the case of constant deceleration control (B): V ′> 0: Constant acceleration control In other words, the equation (6) is expressed according to the control laws (A) and (B). It can be seen that the equation corresponds not only to the constant deceleration control shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, but also to the constant acceleration control shown in FIGS.
[0016]
2. Classification of control laws
2.1 Front vehicle tracking control law The above equation (6) is a constant acceleration / deceleration control law that is effective only when the constraint (A) or (B) is satisfied. Think.
Therefore, necessary control laws are considered for each case according to the inter-vehicle distance and the vehicle speed. FIG. 5 shows the classification.
[0017]
In FIG. 5, the horizontal axis represents the inter-vehicle distance d, and the vertical axis represents the vehicle speed V. The control laws are classified from (A) to (F) according to the magnitude relationship between the inter-vehicle distance d and the host vehicle speed V with respect to the target inter-vehicle distance d t and the target vehicle speed V t . (A) and (B) are control laws corresponding to the constraints (A) and (B) already described.
[0018]
Conditions (A) to (D) are front vehicle following control rules for realizing the target inter-vehicle distance and the target vehicle speed when the host vehicle is traveling behind the preceding vehicle.
The d = dt line corresponds to the case of a fixed inter-vehicle distance cruise.
[0019]
2.11 Control law (C): d <d t and V> V t
FIG. 6 shows the situation. Since it is closer than the target inter-vehicle distance d t and the vehicle speed V is also fast, it is necessary to decelerate. At time t + T, a constant deceleration is obtained so that the target inter-vehicle distance d t is reached and the vehicle speed at that time becomes αV t slower than the target vehicle speed V t .
[0020]
In FIG. 6, since the above formula (1) is established from the relationship between the inter-vehicle distance and the travel distance, the following formula is obtained from the formula (2) for the travel distance.
[Expression 7]
[0021]
Substituting this into equation (1) yields:
[Equation 8]
[0022]
When the deceleration time T is obtained from this equation (8), the following equation is obtained.
[Equation 9]
[0023]
Here, since the deceleration time T is a positive number and d <d t ,
[Expression 10]
And therefore
[Expression 11]
It is necessary to set the coefficient α so as to satisfy this condition.
[0024]
Since the case of V> V t, it can be seen that the coefficient α from equation (11) is a small positive number from 1. This means that if the target vehicle speed is αV t slower than V t and the vehicle is not decelerated strongly, the vehicle will be too close to the preceding vehicle and the target inter-vehicle distance d t cannot be realized.
[0025]
The constant deceleration (−V ′) is obtained from equation (5)
[Expression 12]
Therefore, when the equation (9) is substituted, the following equation is obtained.
[Formula 13]
[0026]
2.12 Control law (D): d> d t and V <V t
FIG. 8 shows the situation. Since it is farther than the target inter-vehicle distance d t and the vehicle speed V is slow, it needs to be accelerated. At time t + T, the target inter-vehicle distance d t is reached, and a constant acceleration is calculated so that the vehicle speed at that time becomes αV t faster than the target vehicle speed V t .
[0027]
Also in FIG. 8, formulas (7) to (9) are established from the relationship between the inter-vehicle distance and the travel distance. Here, the deceleration time T is a positive number, since d> d t :
[Expression 14]
And therefore
[Expression 15]
This condition is necessary, and the coefficient α needs to be set so as to satisfy this condition.
[0028]
Since the case of V <V t, is α from equation (15) it can be seen that a large positive number from 1. This means that the target inter-vehicle distance d t cannot be realized by narrowing the inter-vehicle distance unless the target vehicle speed is αV t faster than V t .
[0029]
Accordingly, the constant acceleration V ′ is expressed by the following equation (5) as in the case of the control law (C).
Therefore, the following equation is obtained by substituting equation (9).
[Expression 17]
[0030]
2.2 Merge Control Law In FIG. 5, the control laws (E) and (F) represent the area of merge control. That is, each of the above control law (A) ~ (D) is always opponent vehicle was preceding vehicle, as shown in FIG. 10, to the counterpart vehicle traveling the main lane by the vehicle speed V t, the target following distance When joining at d t , until the time when the inter-vehicle distance becomes 0 (when the rear end of the opponent's vehicle and the front end of the own vehicle are in a side-by-side state), the opponent's vehicle = the rear vehicle, and thereafter the opponent's vehicle = the preceding vehicle The situation is assumed to switch to.
[0031]
2.21 Control law (E): V> V t
The vehicle speed V is the case faster than main line speed V t, then decelerated to alpha] V t, consider that to achieve the target inter-vehicle distance d t.
[0032]
Also in FIG. 10, the following equation holds from the relationship between the inter-vehicle distance and the travel distance.
[Expression 18]
[0033]
Here, since the travel distance is expressed by equation (7), the following equation is obtained by substituting equation (7) into equation (1).
[Equation 19]
[0034]
When the deceleration time T is obtained from this equation (19), the following equation is obtained.
[Expression 20]
[0035]
Here, since the deceleration time T is a positive number,
[Expression 21]
And
[Expression 22]
It is necessary to set the coefficient α so as to satisfy this condition.
[0036]
Since the case of V> V t, is α from the equation (22) it can be seen that a small positive number from 1. This means that the target vehicle speed must be strongly decelerated as αV t slower than the main vehicle speed V t .
[0037]
Therefore, the constant deceleration (−V ′) is
Therefore, substituting equation (20) into this gives the following equation:
[Expression 24]
[0038]
2.22 Control law (F): V <V t
The vehicle speed V is a case slower than the main line vehicle speed V t, merge to accelerate. The situation is shown in FIG.
[0039]
In FIG. 13, equation (18) is established from the relationship between the inter-vehicle distance and the travel distance, and the travel distance is represented by the following equation.
[Expression 25]
[0040]
Substituting this into equation (18) yields:
[Equation 26]
[0041]
When the deceleration time T is obtained from this equation (26), the following equation is obtained.
[Expression 27]
[0042]
Therefore, the constant acceleration V ′ is
[Expression 28]
Therefore, substituting equation (27) into this gives the following equation:
[Expression 29]
[0043]
3. Consider that the control laws (A) to (F) above are expressed in a unified manner. The difference between these control law equations is the presence or absence of the coefficient α, but the constant acceleration / deceleration V ′ expression in the case of the control laws (A), (B), and (F) without the coefficient α is the coefficient In the case of the control laws (C), (D), and (E) using α, it is exactly the same as the equation in which α is set to 1.
[0044]
Considering these things, the front vehicle following control law and the merging control law can be uniformly expressed as shown in Table 1 below.
[Table 1]
[0045]
4). Depending on the value of the coefficient α, the acceleration / deceleration time T may be longer than necessary. Therefore, an acceleration / deceleration time T (for example, 100 s) is given in advance, and α is used by calculating backward from the acceleration / deceleration time T.
[0046]
That is, if the equation of acceleration / deceleration time T shown in Table 1 is solved for α, the following equation is obtained.
[30]
[0047]
Then, the acceleration / deceleration speed V ′ can be obtained by substituting the coefficient α obtained by the equation (30) into the equation (13) or (17).
[0048]
Therefore, the control means can perform acceleration or deceleration control corresponding to each of the above control laws by giving the acceleration / deceleration speed V ′ to the acceleration control means or the deceleration control means.

[0050]
In such an example, in order to confirm the effectiveness of the control laws (A) to (F) shown in Table 1 above, the following verification by vehicle speed control simulation was performed.
(1) Simulation conditions Here, simulation examples of control laws (A), (C), and (E) that are deceleration controls and control laws (B), (D), and (F) that are acceleration controls are shown. .
[0051]
Depending on the acceleration performance and deceleration performance of the vehicle, even when the target speed is reached, the inter-vehicle distance may not be filled to the target inter-vehicle distance. In Table 2 below, appropriate calculation conditions that can be realized are set in the sense of showing examples.
[0052]
[Table 2]
[0053]
(2) Simulation Results FIGS. 15 and 16 show simulation results (time versus own vehicle speed V and inter-vehicle distance d) in the deceleration mode and the acceleration mode, respectively. FIG. 17 shows the relative relationship between the own vehicle speed V and each simulation result inter-vehicle distance d.
[0054]
The simulation result of the control law (A) is shown in FIG.
Here, the vehicle is decelerated at a substantially constant acceleration while the inter-vehicle distance is reduced from the initial 300 m to the target 250 m, and reaches the target vehicle speed at the target inter-vehicle distance (see graph A in FIG. 17).
[0055]
FIG. 15B shows a simulation result of the control law (C).
Here, from the relative speed between the host vehicle and the preceding vehicle at the start of the deceleration control, the inter-vehicle distance d decreases once and increases from the time when the host vehicle becomes slower than the vehicle speed of the preceding vehicle. and the target inter-vehicle 250m reaches the target velocity V t (see the graph C in Fig. 17).
[0056]
FIG. 15C shows a simulation result of the control law (E).
Here, the front-rear relationship between the host vehicle at the start of acceleration control and the opponent vehicle is opposite to the control law (C), and the host vehicle precedes.
[0057]
From the relative speed between the vehicle at the start of the deceleration control and the preceding vehicle (at this time, the opponent vehicle is running behind the vehicle), the inter-vehicle distance d decreases once (actually, the inter-vehicle distance increases). By defining the traveling direction as the positive direction and defining the traveling direction as the positive direction, the inter-vehicle distance at the start of the control is treated as a negative value), and from the time when the own vehicle becomes slower than the speed of the preceding vehicle increase (d moves toward the positive direction) that eventually reaches the target speed V t at the target inter-vehicle 250 meters (see graph E in FIG. 17).
[0058]
FIG. 16A shows the simulation result of the control law (B).
Here, the vehicle accelerates at a constant acceleration while the inter-vehicle distance increases from the initial 80 m to the target 250 m, and reaches the target vehicle speed at the target inter-vehicle distance (see graph B in FIG. 17).
[0059]
FIG. 16B shows a simulation result of the control law (D).
Here, from the relative speed between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle at the start of acceleration control, the inter-vehicle distance d increases once, decreases from the time when the own vehicle becomes faster than the vehicle speed of the preceding vehicle, and finally and the target inter-vehicle 250m reaches the target velocity V t (see graph D in FIG. 17).
FIG. 16C shows a simulation result of the control law (F).
Here, the front-rear relationship between the host vehicle and the opponent vehicle at the start of acceleration control is opposite to the control law B, and the host vehicle takes precedence. However, as in the case of the control law (B), the vehicle accelerates at a constant acceleration and reaches the target vehicle speed at the target inter-vehicle distance (see graph F in FIG. 17).
[0060]
From the above results, it was confirmed that all the control laws (A), (B), (C), (D), (E), and (F) have the function of reaching the target vehicle speed at the target inter-vehicle distance.
[0061]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the vehicle speed control device of the present invention, the speed of the opponent vehicle (the preceding vehicle or the rear vehicle) is obtained from the inter-vehicle distance and the vehicle speed, and is set as the target vehicle speed of the own vehicle after a predetermined time has elapsed. Since the acceleration / deceleration control is performed by obtaining the constant acceleration / deceleration at the predetermined time by using a predetermined arithmetic expression, the constant acceleration / deceleration control law that reaches the target vehicle speed at the target position or the target inter-vehicle distance can be applied. It is possible to extend the control to follow the control and the control at the time of merging. As a result, the following specific effects can be obtained.
[0062]
(1) The speed control law at the time of acceleration / deceleration is expressed in a unified manner, so it can be applied to a whole series of speed control necessary for automatic driving, and it is the basic of speed control for automatic driving that is easy to implement. A control law is obtained.
{Circle around (2)} Unlike conventional methods that use a plurality of independent control laws in accordance with the situation, continuous acceleration / deceleration control is possible even when the situation changes.
