【0012】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for producing a fluorinated fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ether and a novel compound useful as an intermediate of the fluorinated fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ether.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The fluorine-containing fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ether represented by the chemical formula CF 2 = CFOCF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F is a useful compound as an industrial raw material such as an ion exchange membrane material.
[0003]
Examples of the method for producing a sulfonyl vinyl ether such as the fluorine-containing fluorosulfonyl alkyl vinyl ether include, for example, the addition of hexafluoropropylene oxide to FCOCF 2 SO 2 F in British Patent No. 1,034,197 and the obtained acid. A method for pyrolyzing a fluoride derivative is described. However, in this method, a sulfovinyl ether represented by CF 2 = CFO (CF 2 CF (CF 3 ) O) nCF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F is obtained from a mixture of two or more molecules of hexafluoropropylene oxide. However, from the addition of one molecule of hexafluoropropylene oxide, the following formula:
[Chemical 1]
[0005]
As a main product, a fluorinated fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ether represented by the chemical formula CF 2 = CFOCF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F can hardly be obtained.
[0006]
JP-A-57-28025 describes a method in which chloropentafluoropropylene oxide is added to FCOCF 2 SO 2 F and then thermally decomposed. In this method, it is possible to obtain the above-mentioned fluorine-containing fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ether, but since the chloropentafluoropropylene oxide used as a raw material cannot be obtained in good yield, the above-mentioned fluorine-containing fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ether is efficiently produced at low cost. It cannot be manufactured well.
[0007]
In addition, as a method for producing a sulfonyl vinyl ether, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 61-30552 discloses a method of converting halogen of a halogen-terminated vinyl ether into a SO 2 F group, and Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 11-228474 discloses CF 2 ClCFClOCF. A method of dechlorinating 2 CF 2 SO 2 F with zinc is described.
[0008]
However, none of these methods is satisfactory as an industrial production method because the yield of the target sulfonyl vinyl ether is poor.
[0009]
In addition, in U.S. Pat.No. 3,560,568, FCOCF (CF 3 ) OCF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F is used as a raw material, a cyclized product thereof is formed, and then the ring is opened using CH 3 ONa to produce CF 2 = CFOCF. 2 CF 2 SO 3 Na is described, after which the terminal SO 3 Na group is chlorinated and then fluorinated to convert it to a SO 2 F group. However, this method is very inefficient because the reactivity of chlorination of CF 2 = CFOCF 2 CF 2 SO 3 Na is extremely low, and further, HCl gas is generated when water is present in the system. There are problems such as. Furthermore, it is necessary to remove impurities such as NaF almost completely before the chlorination reaction, the manufacturing process is very complicated, and industrial implementation is difficult.
[0010]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described present situation, and a main object thereof is to provide a method capable of producing a fluorine-containing fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ether by an industrially advantageous method with high yield.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of intensive research in view of the above-mentioned problems, the present inventor used a carboxylate of a fluorine-containing fluorosulfonylalkyl ether, which is a known substance, as a raw material, and reacted with a halogen molecule to halogenated alkyl ether. And then dehalogenating the target fluorine-containing fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ether in a relatively simple process and producing it in a high yield, and the present invention is completed here. It came to.

That is, the present invention provides the following method for producing a fluorine-containing fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ether and a novel compound useful as an intermediate of the fluorine-containing fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ether.

[0013]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In the method for producing a fluorine-containing fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ether of the present invention, first, a general formula (2) which is a known substance:
MOCOCF (CF 3 ) O (CF 2 CF (CF 3 ) O) n CF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F (2)
(Wherein n is an integer of 0 to 10, and M is an alkali metal or Ag). A carboxylic acid salt of a fluorine-containing fluorosulfonylalkyl ether represented by Formula (3):
CF 3 CFXO (CF 2 CF (CF 3 ) O) n CF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F (3)
(In the formula, X is an iodine atom, bromine atom or chlorine atom, and n is the same as above).
[0014]
The carboxylate of the general formula (2) used as a raw material is a known substance. For example, according to a known method such as the method described in US Pat. No. 3,301,893, the known general formula: FCOCF ( A method of reacting an acid fluoride derivative represented by CF 3 ) O (CF 2 CF (CF 3 ) O) n CF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F (n is the same as above) with an alkali metal hydrogen carbonate, the acid It can be produced by a method in which water is added to the fluoride derivative to form a carboxylic acid and then reacted with Ag 2 O.
[0015]
In General formula (2), M is an alkali metal or Ag, and especially potassium or Ag is preferable.
[0016]
The reaction of the carboxylate of the general formula (2) and the halogen molecule can usually be performed in an organic solvent. As a reaction method, after dissolving and suspending a carboxylate salt in an organic solvent, the reaction may be carried out by adding a halogen molecule, or by reacting after dissolving and dispersing the halogen molecule in an organic solvent. Also good. Further, halogen molecules and carboxylates can be appropriately added during the reaction.
[0017]
As the halogen molecule, iodine, bromine, chlorine and the like can be used, but iodine and bromine are particularly preferable.
[0018]
The charged molar ratio of the halogen molecule is preferably about halogen molecule / carboxylate = 0.3 to 3 mol / mol, particularly preferably about 0.5 to 2 mol / mol.
[0019]
The organic solvent can be used without particular limitation as long as it is an aprotic solvent, and specific examples include ether, sulfolane, glyme, ketone, ester, amide, nitrile and the like, and in particular, diglyme, triglyme, tetraglyme. Tetrahydrofuran, sulfolane, dimethyl sulfoxide, N, N-dimethylacetamide, dimethylformamide, acetonitrile and the like are preferable.
[0020]
The charging weight ratio of the organic solvent is not particularly limited, but is preferably about 0.1 to 10 g / g, more preferably about 0.5 to 5 g / g.
[0021]
The reaction temperature is preferably about 0 to 150 ° C, more preferably about 30 to 100 ° C. Although reaction pressure is not specifically limited and arbitrary conditions can be used, It is preferable to react under normal pressure.
[0022]
The reaction time varies depending on the reaction conditions, but is usually in the range of about 0.1 to 24 hours.
[0023]
By the reaction described above, the general formula:
CF 3 CFXO (CF 2 CF (CF 3 ) O) n CF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F (3)
(Wherein, n is an integer of 0 to 10, and X is an iodine atom, a bromine atom or a chlorine atom), can be obtained. The obtained compound can be purified by known methods such as extraction, distillation, column chromatography and the like. The compound of the general formula (3) is an intermediate for producing the fluorine-containing fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ether of the general formula (1). In particular, among the compounds of the general formula (3), n = 1 and X is About compounds other than the compound which is a bromine atom, it is a novel compound useful as an intermediate. Among these novel compounds, in particular, for n = 0, when producing a compound of n = 0, which is a highly useful compound among the fluorine-containing fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ethers of the general formula (1). The compound is highly useful in that the target product can be produced with good yield with almost no cyclized product.
[0024]
Next, by the dehalogenation reaction of the halogenated alkyl ether compound represented by the general formula (3), the general formula (1):
CF 2 = CFO (CF 2 CF (CF 3 ) O) n CF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F (1)
(Wherein, n is the same as above) can be obtained.
[0025]
The dehalogenation reaction can be performed according to a known method. For example, the deXF reaction can be performed by reacting with a metal reagent such as an organomagnesium compound or zinc in an aprotic solvent. As the organomagnesium compound, for example, RMgBr, RMgCl, or the like can be used. In these compounds, R is, for example, a lower alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms.
[0026]
As the aprotic solvent, for example, diethyl ether, tetrahydrofuran, diglyme, acetonitrile, sulfolane and the like can be used.
[0027]
The ratio of the solvent and the compound of the general formula (2) is not particularly limited, but usually the solvent / the compound of the general formula (2) (weight ratio) may be about 1 to 20.
[0028]
The ratio of the metal reagent to the compound of the general formula (2) is not particularly limited, but for example, the metal reagent / the compound of the general formula (2) (molar ratio) may be about 1-2.
[0029]
The reaction temperature is usually preferably about -20 to 150 ° C. The reaction pressure is not particularly limited, and any conditions can be used, but normal pressure conditions are preferred.
[0030]
The reaction time is usually about 0.1 to 24 hours.
[0031]
By the above method, general formula (1):
CF 2 = CFO (CF 2 CF (CF 3 ) O) n CF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F (1)
(Wherein, n is the same as above) can be obtained.
[0032]
The obtained crude compound can be purified by a known method such as extraction, distillation, recrystallization, column chromatography or the like.
[0033]
The fluorine-containing fluorosulfonylalkyl vinyl ether of the general formula (1) obtained by the method of the present invention is a substance useful as a monomer component for a polymer used for an electrolyte membrane or an ion exchange membrane.
[0034]
This electrolyte membrane or ion exchange membrane is, for example, an electrolyte membrane for a solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell, a lithium battery membrane, a salt electrolysis membrane, a water electrolysis membrane, a hydrohalic acid electrolysis membrane, an oxygen concentrator membrane, Used as a humidity sensor film, a gas sensor film, and the like.
[0035]
【The invention's effect】
According to the method of the present invention, the objective fluorine-containing fluorosulfonyl ether can be produced at a low cost and in a high yield by an industrially advantageous method without requiring complicated operations.
[0036]
【Example】
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to examples.
[0037]
Example 1
Halogenation step In a 20 ml three-necked flask equipped with a thermometer and a stir bar, CH 3 CON (CH 3 ) 2 (3 ml) was added to KOCOCF (CF 3 ) OCF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F (1.6 g, While stirring the suspension to which 4.2 mmol) was added, iodine (1.1 g, 4.2 mmol) was added and heated to 50-60 ° C. After heating for 1.2 hours, the reaction was stopped, and after cooling to room temperature, an aqueous K 2 SO 3 solution was added to reduce and remove iodine remaining unreacted.

Analysis by 19F NMR internal standard method revealed that 2.4 mmol of CF 3 CFIOCF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F was obtained. The analysis results of the main product (CF 3 CFIOCF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F) by the reaction are shown below.
19 F NMR (neat, CFCl 3 ) δ 44.93 (-SO 2 F ), -80.42 (-OC F 1 F 2- ), -81.28 (-C F I-), -84.45 (C F 3 -),- 86.08 (-OCF 1 F 2- ), -112.91 (-C F 2 SO 2 F)
De-XF step CF 3 CFIOCF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F (10.58 g, 24.8 mmol) and THF (25 ml) were charged in a 100 ml three-necked flask equipped with a thermometer, a dropping funnel and a stirring bar, and stirred. Then, 1N C 2 H 5 MgBr / THF solution (25.88 g, 24.84 mmol) was added dropwise in an ice bath.
[0040]
After completion of the dropwise addition, the temperature was raised and the reaction was carried out at 55 ° C. for 2 hours. After cooling, 1N HCl aqueous solution was added, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. When the obtained organic layer was analyzed by 19F NMR internal standard method, it was confirmed that 13.0 mmol of CF 2 = CFOCF 2 CF 2 SO 2 F was produced.
