Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention comprises an outer ring and an inner ring that is disposed on the inner circumferential side of the outer ring and presses the outer ring radially outward. A contact surface between the outer ring and the inner ring has an inclined surface, and the inner ring is The present invention relates to a combined piston ring for a reciprocating engine having a structure in which pressure measurement is generated on both rings by the inclined surface when the outer ring is pressed radially outward.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In an internal combustion engine with a throttle, if the engine is rotated with the throttle closed, such as during engine braking, the negative pressure value in the intake pipe increases, and the pressure on the combustion chamber side becomes lower than the pressure in the crankcase. The lubricating oil is sucked up to the combustion chamber side, and the oil consumption increases. In order to solve this problem, the oil ring has a three-piece structure including a pair of side rails and an expander, and an angle is provided on the contact surface with the inner periphery of the side rail of the expander that projects the side rail. As a result, when the expander presses the side rail outward in the radial direction, side pressure (referred to as the force that presses the upper and lower surfaces of the piston ring groove) is applied to the side rail, and the side rail is moved into the cylinder. A method has been adopted in which not only the peripheral surface but also the upper and lower surfaces of the ring groove are brought into contact with each other, thereby improving the sealing property with the upper and lower surfaces of the ring groove and preventing oil from rising.
[0003]
On the other hand, in order to further reduce oil rise, a two-piece structure with an outer ring and an inner ring is adopted as a side pressure generating structure that enables the upper and lower surfaces (side surfaces) to be sealed even with a compression ring, and the contact surfaces of both rings are inclined surfaces. A combined piston ring that generates side pressure has been proposed (see Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2).

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the above combined piston ring, if the tension of the inner ring is lowered to reduce the friction between the outer ring and the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder, the inner ring and the outer ring are mutually coupled by the frictional resistance of the contact surface between the inner ring and the outer ring. Sliding is worsened and movement along the inclined surface is hindered. As a result, sufficient side pressure cannot be obtained, and the seal between the upper and lower surfaces of the ring groove may be insufficient.
[0006]
This invention is made | formed in view of the said point, The subject is providing the combination piston ring which can perform the seal | sticker between the upper and lower surfaces of a ring groove appropriately. Another object of the present invention is to provide a combined piston ring that can properly seal the cylinder.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention adopts the following means in order to solve the above problems. That is, the present invention comprises an outer ring and an inner ring that is arranged on the inner peripheral side thereof and presses the outer ring radially outward, and the contact surface between the outer ring and the inner ring has an inclined surface, In the combination piston ring having a structure in which pressure measurement is generated on both rings by the inclined surface when the ring presses the outer ring radially outward,
A surface treatment film such as a resin film, a PVD film (Physical Vapor Deposition), a CVD film (Chemical Vapor Deposition), a DLC film (Diamond Like Carbon), or a phosphate film is formed on one or both of the contact surfaces of the both rings. The friction coefficient of the film is smaller in the axial direction than in the circumferential direction .
[0008]
According to the above configuration, when the inner ring presses the outer ring radially outward, the inner ring is pressed against the side surface of the ring groove and the outer ring is pressed against the cylinder bore surface by the contact of the inclined surfaces of both rings. At the same time, since it is pressed against the side surface of the ring groove, a seal with the cylinder and a seal with the upper and lower surfaces of the ring groove are performed. At this time, the contact surfaces of the outer ring and the inner ring have good sliding characteristics due to the coating applied to the contact surface, and therefore the inner ring and the outer ring can move smoothly along the inclined surface. As a result, a sufficient side pressure can be obtained, and the sealability between the upper and lower surfaces of the ring groove can be maintained well.
[0009]
Examples of the resin film include PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) resin, mixed resin of PTFE and molybdenum disulfide, mixed resin of PTFE and graphite, mixed resin of polyimide amide and molybdenum disulfide, and polyimide amide and graphite. A film made of a mixed resin or a polybenzimidazole resin is used. As the PVD film and the CVD film, for example, a film made of CrN, Cr 2 N, or the like is used.
[0010]
The friction coefficient of the film is preferably smaller in the axial direction than in the circumferential direction. This facilitates the axial movement of the outer ring and the inner ring, while suppressing the circumferential movement and making the rings easier to rotate together, thereby preventing the abutment from matching, This is for maintaining good sealing performance. As a method for making the friction coefficient smaller in the axial direction than in the circumferential direction, for example, the film is formed so that the axial direction is continuous and the circumferential direction is intermittently formed. As an example of this, as shown in FIG. 3, for example, the film is formed in the form of vertical stripes in the circumferential direction. In the case of a resin film, the film may be coated in the axial direction. It is also possible to set the base processing tool mark direction to the axial direction, and make the base roughness smaller in the axial direction than in the circumferential direction.
[0011]
It is preferable that a surface treatment film such as a resin film, a PVD film, a CVD film, a DLC film, or a phosphate film is formed on one or both of the lower surface of the outer ring and the upper surface of the inner ring. As the resin film, PVD film, and CVD film, for example, the above-described films are used. As a result, the sliding characteristics of the outer ring, inner ring and the upper and lower surfaces of the ring groove are improved, and the radial movement of the outer ring and inner ring is smooth, so the followability of the outer ring to the cylinder bore is improved, and the seal Good.
[0012]
The material of the outer ring is usually a metal from the viewpoint of wear resistance. In addition to metal, the inner ring may be made of a resin material. In particular, if the inner ring is made of a resin material and has a structure in which the tension increases due to thermal expansion when the abutment is in contact, the tension of the inner ring is low when the oil temperature is low. By making the tension low, the sliding between the outer ring and the cylinder can be made low friction, the startability etc. can be improved, and the tension of the inner ring should be high during high rotation with high oil temperature Therefore, the followability of the outer ring to the cylinder bore can be improved and the sealing performance can be improved.
[0013]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the contact surface between the outer ring and the inner ring has an inclined surface, and the surface treatment film such as a resin film is formed on the contact surface. Therefore, the sealability between the upper and lower surfaces of the ring groove is improved. In addition, since the friction coefficient of the surface treatment film is smaller in the axial direction than in the circumferential direction, the movement of the outer ring and the inner ring in the axial direction is smooth, and the movement in the circumferential direction is restrained. Since the ring can easily rotate as a unit, it is possible to prevent the abutment from matching and maintain good sealing performance . Also, by forming a surface treatment film such as a resin film on the lower surface of the outer ring or the upper surface of the inner ring, the outer ring and inner ring can move in the radial direction, and the outer ring follows the deformation of the cylinder bore. Can be maintained well.
